Lebanon used to be a majority Christian country, it was called "the Paris of the Middle East" - a thriving tourist destination... until they let in a lot of Muslim refugees. It then descended into chaos with a bloody civil war in the 70s and has never recovered. Just bear that in mind, and consider the way Muslims immigrants have failed to assimilate in this country.

In which country have Muslims not assimilated? England? I'm English, I have a few Muslim neighbours, work colleagues, local business owners, drivers and other professions. They seem to have assimilated very well in my area and pretty much every other town and cities I've visited so I fail to understand why it's different where you are? You're right. Israel has had its hands in every crisis there for the past two decades. Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya--this is only the tip of the iceberg.
Well I think mainly it depends if you think it's one single Middle-East crisis or a bunch of separate Middle-East crises. Of course it's kind of both.

In one sense this is global in that Putin and Netanyahu, possibly in tandem, have turned the world into a tinder box (twice over since the Middle-East crisis will have at least an indirect impact on our global climate commitments). In another sense it is important imo not to underestimate Putin’s collusion in the Brexit debacle, a cozying up between the UK’s extreme right thereby emboldening Russian foreign policy. (Boris Johnson’s huffing and puffing and his foreign policy after the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, really was the lady protesting too much.) In a third sense, Biden may loose the 2024 Presidential election in November because of his abject failure to curb Netanyahu’s indiscriminate killing of Palestinians. We all know the consequences of Biden losing. As EM Forster wrote, ‘Only connect’.
The Gazans, Lebanese ,Syrians ,and the Yemenis are all just pawns to be sacrificed by the radical islamic religious regime in iran to accomplish their goal of domination in the middle east and then the rest of the world to live under" sharia " that is the islamic endgame .

To be honest, with all the horrors here in Israel, I still prefer it here than in the UK (certainly London, most certainly as an Israeli Jew). I hope the majority of Brits realize the threat facing their country but I am afraid it may be too late to do much about it. As an Israeli - I say this - scary times and extremely tragic. I actually feel for the people of Lebanon because the way I see it - the chance of an all-out war with Hezbollah is not 70%, it's more like 95%. It's not a matter of "if" but "when" and it seems as if this is getting closer (most likely after Passover/Easter). I just don't see a scenario where Hezbollah actually agrees to move its forces beyond the Litani river and have the Lebanese Army and other forces (UN, International force) take control of the border with Israel. Israel has several reasons for attacking Hezbollah with full force: 1) To take the initiative, strike first and strike HARD (or be subject in the future to Hezbollah taking the initiative like Hamas did) 2) As a precursor to a possible pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear facilities (so get rid of the Hezbollah threat first) 3) As Douglas Murray noted - there are tens of thousands of displaced Israelis, five months now and with no prospect of returning home (and hundreds of homes have been destroyed or badly damaged by anti-tank and other munitions fired by Hezbollah). The problem is, an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah will be catastrophic for both sides. Much of Lebanon will be bombed to smithereens but Israel will suffer greatly, even though it has some of the best air defense systems in place. Hezbollah can strike strategic locations with powerful missiles. Some estimate that hundreds, perhaps thousands of Israelis will perish every day for some time and the infrastructure and of course the economy will take a major hit. For now, it seems that the US and Iran don't want this war and somehow manage to stop both sides from further escalation but this will have to be resolved pretty soon.
Quick associated 2nd comment: So many things I could say, but ask yourselves this one: not one of the many neighbouring (6 of which are contiguous to Gaza and/or Israel) Arab states is willing to take the Gazan Palestinians in, even on a temporary basis. Please ask yourselves why, and be ready for tough answers.

Douglas Murray is right in his saying. My comment may be a little off topic but I wanna say that people's guide to truth has been turned upside down. Leftists who attend demonstrations in support of Palestine seem unable to demonstrate the slightest ability to reason. Or they suffer from ideological blindness... Palestines-Araps always initiate and escalate conflicts themselves never try to compromise to end it, and complain that they are victims... Are those protestors aware of supporting and being a tool of Arabic imperialism which claims all Middle East belongs to them. Should we believe that Arabs, who cannot fit into twenty Arab countries, need Israel's 22 thousand square kilometers of land to estabilish a 21st Arap country?

I will add that when I was younger I worked at the cosmetic counter of a well known store in Montreal , Canada with a very sophisticated lady that came from Beyrouth, Lebanon.

Ive been following lots of channels supporting Isreal as although I'm not Jewish, I've visited many times, but I'm bombarded with channels supporting Palestine. I wonder if someone following pro Palestine channels would be bombarded with opinions from the other side of the conflict.
