The only problem I see is the US administration's lack of leadership weakness and wokeness.
100%! What a mess they’ve been creating inside out four the past 3.5 years!
Started with Obama and continues with Biden. There was a temporary interruption in this behaviour with Trump
"Only problem" with WHAT? Learn to write in sentences that actually mean something.
How about trying to get Israel to sacrifice itself in order to allow the Democrats (what a mockery of a word) another term under a President figurehead who doesn't know what's going on.
Crazy perspective! Just think of all the American bombs that have been dropped on Gaza, billions of your tax dollars worth and for what, to support an evil and illegitamte state destroy 10,000's of innocent children and women. Sick and very sad.
Removing Taliban was a huge success)))
😂😂
The failure was a political one not a military issue.
@@Gad-yn4xd As is in this case. The idea that you can eclipse resistance groups militarily is an illusion. Every palestine is a potential Hamas member as every Afghan is a potential Taliban.
Your point is valid. America removed the Taliban from power without much trouble, so why did they fail to defeat them in the end?
I believe that if the US had concentrated on Afghanistan, on building the Ring Road and consolidating regime change, it could have been a great success. But the US has a huge military, with a huge appetite for novelty and fresh victories, and they went off to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, instead of doing the hard, dull work of modernising Afghanistan.
But at least there were plenty of Afghans who welcomed American occupation, as long as it kept the Taliban out (a misplaced trust in the end). In Gaza, I'm not convinced the Palestinians will thank Israel for removing Hamas.
Shameless has no limits.
When did you remove Taliban.
Vietnam was the war that was analysed in the same way as the war in Gaza
Is there any actual content behind that uninformative "thought"?

Reject all proposals to rebuild Gaza with U.S. tax dollars. We know it is coming. Endless spending.
Their sponsors in Iran and Qatar should pay.
Let the Saudis pay for all of it.
Even worse, the Hamas system is based on controlling the distribution of foreign "aid" funds on the one hand and the dependency of the entire population on these funds on the other hand.

Oh, how could you do that to Black Rock?
I don't see weapons being pulled from rubble.
In your opinion, is that because there are no weapons in Gaza or because the images are orchestrated?

Justice will come, one way or another.
Oct 8, Hamas proposed trading hostages for prisoners... a clue to intentions.
Hamas's intentions were as they state in writing, and as they showed the world on October the 7th: to wipe out all Jewish people in world.
where is written that? I challenge you to point any recognized news agency writing that.
Who exactly will have taken that deal? Who?! Name one country, one entity that will have accepted those terms? On the 7 hamas and other palis got into Israel and massacred hundreds of Israeli civilians in their houses , in the worst attack on Jews since the holocaust ( as percentage will be like killing 34 000 Americans in few hours) ,and on the 8 asking Israel to go back like everything was before as if nothing happened! Who the bloody heck will accept something like that, that’s besides the fact that is no proof of Hamas ever proposing something like that. People start using common sense because is actually embarrassing.
@@ileanaseagal6757 Right after October 7th, Sinwar said something to the effect that, with so many hostages, they'll be able to get all Palestinian terrorists out of Israeli jails. (The number was something like 5,800 then, but there are a lot more prisoners now, since Hamas guys surrendered over the course of the last 8 months of fighting.)
You're either naive or incredibly foolish, giving Hamas's strategy is not the military victory but the isolation of Israel. Hamas relishes the death of civilians, that is why they hide undernith them, keep hostages among them and use protected humanitarian infrastructures like hospitals and schools as terror hotspots.
Thank you for objective truth!
Israel was scrutinized on October the 8th, nevermind since 🙄 Victor or victim, Israel has always been scrutinized and judged wanting.
Perhaps this is relevant.
Why did it take 6 hours for the Israeli military to come to the aid of those desperate people on Oct 7th?
Appache helicopters, engines running, pilots at the controls were 5 mins away listening to the cries of people via phones.
They were told to stand down.
Why ?
It has. Antizionists seem to believe that the Jews who fled to Palestine to escape the Nazi terror in Europe, at a time when Australia, for instance, was only admitting an average of 630 Jews a year and the US was taking in about 2000, should have stayed put and died. They seem to believe the 45 per cent of Israeli Jews who are indigenous to what was once known as Palestine or to the Middle East and North Africa more generally should "return" to Baghdad, Cairo and Tripoli, where they or their ancestors were persecuted.
In the alternative, antizionists accept that Israeli Jews have good reason to be there but think Israel shouldn't be allowed to defend itself and shouldn't have the secure borders it needs if it's to remain a secure democracy for a majority-Jewish population. This sort of antizionist never complains that India and Pakistan both have secure borders and don't grant visas to citizens of the other country.
@@MarcusCorbett do you know of Caroline Glick. She had a very revealing podcast on the dysfunction of the IDF General Staff.

There are too many self hating Jews , .(gotta love that phrase haven't we) who agree with and assert all that you deny.
They denied it but there were too many films confirming it..
Don't blame crimes of Zionism on Judaism, the two are not equatable. Zionists are a militant radical ideology bent on there own personal superiority over a land they have stolen from people they now oppress.
The continual annexation of land and property since and before the very inception of Israel indeed shows their motivation.
@@MarcusCorbett anything to cling on to justify your hatred to Israel and the jews? or just speculation without a shred of evidence?
I am amazed at Israel's restraint after what hamas and it's civilians from Gaza did on October 7. It's a miracle that Israel is not blinded by rage and revenge. This whole nightmare could have been prevented if hamas has been unconditionally condemned on October 7 and the return of the hostages demanded.
John Spencer has become my go to for clarity on this conflict. It’s a shame mainstream news outlets don’t make use of his perspective. They know better - it’s a deliberate choice.

@@crista6899 Sure thing, well thanks for that enlightening comment, what's your take adolf?
How many hamas fighters and leaders have been killed (or captured) compared to civilian deaths?
Impossible to tell given Hamas members dress as civilians to further confuse issues. There's a video of a guy in civilian clothing with a cup of coffee, calmly firing missiles. He's still Hamas.
Last reports I saw were 14-15,000 combatants, leaving about 20,000 civilian deaths after Hamas were pressured to admit they were pulling their 70% women and children figures from out their fundament.
Abbas Palestinian President said all Palestinian people are Hamas last October on a podcast
@@adriennefried5368 They haven't had an election since 2006. Doesn't seem like they're being given a choice.
For some reason my comment was deleted as per - seems YT or some commenters don't like facts much. About 15,000 was last report I read. A few days ago saw ~14,000 combatants. So a bit under 45% of total casualties (if ~35,000 is still accurate).
What about John Meirsheimer’s assessment? Very much contradicts yours.
this guy a paid puppet, a fool. John Meirsheimer is a top expert ! and is owned by no one.
John Meersheimer is not a subject matter expert on asymmetric urban warfare. He’s an academic w/a fraction of the experience.
Spencer isn't the slickest of presenters but the negative comments from posters here are always from people who have never been to or have studied modern urban warfare. They just hate the Jews.
Is that why they bombed Rafah having told people to move there.? To be careful of civilian casualties?
And ho ho and ha ha...I have Jewish Israeli friends in Israel.
You're damn right, the biggest critics are the jewish scholars like Norm Finkelstein, jeff sachs , Richard wolffe , Mr Gabe and many more. I guess it's a jews hate jews situation and many of the jewish scholars have very fresh memories from their close relatives encounter with holocaust. So , they know something about genocide and they have the brian power and the balls to speak out against Israel and its jewish billionaires backers.
Rubbish I am Jewish and what Israel is doing is genocidal, it’s Wrong and so is this so called expert.
The Palestinians are the indigenous people of Palestine the Jews who have taken over the land should learn to coexist peacefully. The organisation HAMAS can not be eliminated by bombing defenceless Women and Children corralled into what remains of their city.
More accurately, they hate the 'west'. And because of all the corruption and virtually endless lies that have come from our government, it is no wonder why. They then mistakenly look at Israel as being the US's 'kid brother' and reflexively jump into the oppressor/oppressed narrative believing Israel is the bully 'colonizer' in the region etc etc - insane fiction for anyone who knows the history long or short there, or who have ever been there and understand the situation at all.
Everything this guy says is spot on. We need men and women like him to have public online debates with people like Norman Finkelstein, Max Blumenthal etc etc. Most unfortunately and quite scarily these people have major influence over the (mostly young) minds in our country, constantly on popular podcasts and interview 'news' shows spreading A-Z the absurdly gross misinformation regarding Israel and its neighbors.

Two things stand out for me that make all the difference in how this war must be perceived by any honest, rational human being:
1. The civilian casualty rates (yes, civilians dying is horrible and war is horrible, but we live in the real world here), given a scenario of human shielding and Hamas’s desire to martyr as many Gazans as possible, are extremely proportional. Fair figures might estimate a roughly 2:1 civilian:terrorist ratio, or even lower, and this demonstrates the precision and restraint Israel has shown.
2. The idea about protracting a conflict making it worse for civilians overall is spot on and has been proven multiple times over previous conflicts. The issue is that humans would rather take a larger quantity of death and destruction in low instalments rather than a smaller quantity all at once. This phenomenon was witnessed in the Bosnia war in the Yugoslavian civil war. The conflict was protracted, humanitarian aid flooded in and fell into the wrong hands (as it has in Gaza), and this resupplied those responsible for continuing the conflict. This is the problem with Humanitarian NGOs scrapping to flood aid into Gaza from the onset. A war only ends when the conditions of war become so bad for one side that they must give up. If you slow down the conflict and keep the aid flowing, you keep the fighters and the population at a state of subsistence that incentivises them to continue. Many people can’t get their heads round this, and probably would call me immoral for saying it, but the fact is that this approach causes less long-term suffering, and in my opinion it is the deeply moral approach. That is not to say sometimes aid isn’t important, but it should be targeted. Of course there are times that it is morally imperative to intervene, however for the most part it is better and kinder to allow wars to reach their natural conclusion, especially in a war like this, where any decent human being would support Israel’s aims to destroy Hamas.
it’s clear that Biden as well as UN and other corruptioners are hell bent of saving Hamas, and that’s the reason why everything is so twisted.

You had better include Ami Ayalon in that list.
Ami Ayalon, ex Shin Bet chief and an Admiral in the Israeli navy when asked some weeks ago what he would do if he were Palestinian replied he would fight for his freedom.
When asked how dirty he would fight he raised an eyebrow, grimaced slightly, looked hard at the camera and said he would do whatever he thought necessary for his freedom.
Ami Ayalon’s freedom is very different from Hamas’s notion and Palestinian freedom all together.
They benefit by crying out to the world to get all the money and support they’ve been getting from the stupid West.
Ami Ayalon’s freedom = Ukrainians’ notion of freedom. Big difference.

Good interview, but I'm still unsure what Netanyahu or even Israel's broad end game is. Is it full control of all the land from the River to the Sea; is it control of all the Land from the River to the Sea but with some Arab cantons with limited self-government; is it complete withdrawal of the West Bank but integrating some land like Ariel, Ma'ale Adumin into Israel proper and some internationalisation of Palestinian lands?
It's a simple question, but what is the map of Israel in say 2034? My view is if Israel can't get an internationally recognised border and peace treaty by the end of this decade then, in 15 years time, with a huge increase in Arab population in the are, lessening for support for Israel abroad and just one strong/charismatic/crazy leader (a Nasser/Napoleon/Putin) who is ready to lead the Arabs, then, Israel could be broken in 24 hours and then the whole Third Temple lost.

So then, there are no rules of proportionality in war or is it that Israel is the only country that does not have to obey the laws of war when it comes to proportionality that is, if the term exists, of course.
Proportionality should always be measured in relation to the objective and not in relation to the precipitating event. 2400 people died in the Pearl Harbour attack. A proportionate response to that act of war wouldn't have been to kill 2400 Japanese and leave it at that. In the end, more than 3 million Japanese died in the war Pearl Harbour kicked off.
Israel is fighting against the odds for its survival - for the safety and security of a population of Jews, Muslims and Christians who don't want to live in a country that's like all its autocratic, undemocratic, illiberal neighbours across a vast swath of territory from Bangladesh and Pakistan in the east to Algeria and Morocco in the west. 45 per cent of Israeli Jews are indigenous to the region. They belong there and nowhere else. 55 per cent of Israeli Jews are the descendants of Ashkenazi Jewish refugees who had as little agency as African slaves who were sent to the American colony or British convicts who were sent to the Australian colony.

So did the original Zionists at the turn of the last century. They were brutal in their terrorist / rebel tactics.
@@Agtsmirnoff Yeah, I didn't know what he was referring to.
There were a lot of battles between the armies...Continental army, vs. British army...
There is one way though in which this war is very different: Hamas has weaponized the death of its own people, that was not the case in the small amount of gorilla warfare in the American Civil War.
Disgraceful to talk about human lives as an accountant. Talking about numbers, debit or credit.
this is a war and they are too much nice talking about numbers, I would talk about collateral damage and that's all.
Platforming murders without calling them out.
Shame on the spectator
Certainly not this, man =/
Zionist true and true !
Excellent speaker! Many thanks
We can count.... this is genocide not war.
According to Hamas. Why would they lie?
Your head is a genocide of neurons
Tucker Carlson: Thomas Massie exposes AIPAC
Democracy Now: Jamaal Bowman on AIPAC "Propaganda Machine"
Vile jew haters from the far left, liberals, socialists and communists instead of peace international altruism has brought about world wars an increasing number of local wars and the suspending of a nuclear bomb on the heads of mankind.
You mention all idiots, Democracy Now like all the dictators in Latin America, and also terrorists in Latin America like the president of Colombia.
Maybe you support Hamas too as Democracy Now does.

Bertrand Russell in 1970 a few days before he died wrote:
For over 20 years Israel has expanded by force of arms. After every stage in this expansion Israel has appealed to “reason” and has suggested “negotiations”.
'This is the traditional role of the imperial power, because it wishes to consolidate with the least difficulty what it has already taken by violence. Every new conquest becomes the new basis of the proposed negotiation from strength, which ignores the injustice of the previous aggression.
'The aggression committed by Israel must be condemned, not only because no state has the right to annex foreign territory, but because every expansion is an experiment to discover how much more aggression the world will tolerate.'
If he really said this then we have another proof that intellectual people can be fools too.
You can't see the obvious: Israel is tiny and very vulnerable. Across a vast swath of territory, from Bangladesh and Pakistan in the east to Turkey in the north, Sudan in the south, and Morocco and Algeria in the west, a succession of illiberal, autocratic, homophobic and misogynistic regimes with no belief in the right of free expression want Israel not to exist. Its staggeringly expensive Iron Dome technology can protect it from a limited attack by relatively slow-moving missiles fired from Iranian territory but not from many thousands of rockets and drones fired from immediately adjacent territory. Bertrand Russell wasn't so entirely silly that he didn't know the reason Britain didn't fall, as France, Belgium and the Netherlands fell, is that it had the Channel to protect it. Plus, too, Britain is 11 times the size of Israel.
Literally who?
He was 97
Who cares what a delusion, demented old man has to say about anything?
Maybe the Arabs should stop attacking a UN recognised state.
This guy is giving off an Evil vibe
It sounds like he's blaming those of us who expect an adherence to international law for the civilian deaths. I can't believe what I'm hearing...or maybe I just don't want to. Urgh.
@@SquawkingSnail No, he's telling you facts you don't want to hear. Different thing. When Islamist extremists rape those you care about (inc children because anyone who's had one period, according to the Koran, is fair game, so that's anyone over around 12) because infidels are fair game, I'm sure you'll blame Israel for not holding out.
You nailed it Mr.Spencer, this is West Point Specialist and he knows its Prof.
