Hello Lita and Robert. I like those load protectors using old straps. I used those years ago. Tarping loads that sit outside all of the time does not make any sense to me. Hopefully, some of the new folks in trucking will actually hear the pointers you have for flat bedders. Have good days!
As always... Great content, quality & variety (lovely Lita, almost human Dogs & one(1) fugly, hairy legged driver ! - Y'all hit a jackpot on the loads ! - Keep on Keepin' on 👌 Steve / W5BIB -OTR Reefer 1977-2009
I would tip a trucker before most of these horrible restaurants with horrible service. Hell you wouldn't have a tip jar without a trucker bringing it to you ! Long time viewer guys and love your videos. I always give you a thumbs up before I even watch the video.
Hi everyone..ABSOLUTELY love the puppies.. just a hint and have done this for many many years when you tie down rolling stock like the truck on the back instead of going to the frame which you did run your chains between the duals on the rear to trailer at a 45 degree angle..holds it from going sideways and forwards or backwards.. holds that way in case you lose air.. works perfect..
Trouble with tips in America is that companies use them as part payment to their workers, why don't they just pay them a proper wage instead of leavinng it up to the customer to part pay their workers?
23:00 - it's called a double blind shipment. They don't want either party knowing who the other is because then the middle man would get cut out on the next order. I've done a few of them in the dry van.
Laughed at the tip jar comment. When my nephew got married, my sister rented a van to take drunk guests back to thier hotel (I drove it, my 10y/o son went with). He got a jar and didn't ask, he told them to tip him. Good Time, little kid demanding tips from drunk guys that don't want to look cheap in front of thier dates
My dad was a cop for many years.1 of the people he knew used to do that.he owned a corner store and ever year he took all that cash back home.and whats that cool music your playing well loading since ive been broke down for 6 hours waiting for the hook
@9:04 A ghost or blind shipment is basically a conflict of interest load towards that particular customer. In my ghost loads of the past, a customer is being charged for a load from Miami Florida going to Lakeland Florida but the same product is near where the truck is in Tampa Florida and the truck picks it up and charges the customer miles from Miami when it actually came closer from Tampa.
Back in the day i would sit for 3-4 days and load 3-4-5 LTLs. Running heavy on weekends. Did it for a lot of years paying excellent. But nobody wanted New England freight. Good luvk. Good video
The first time I travelled to Italy, I went down to the hotel restaurant around 7:30pm planning to get some supper and the place was closed and deserted. I though, "surely they can't be closed already at 7:30 in the evening". I was wrong though - they didn't open for the evening until 8:30pm.
Hey my friend. I just started watching your videos . I do. Or drive trucks but drive Motorcoach around the country. I can’t help but feel your going thru a lot of pain n frustration dealing with the broker low crap prices I can’t imagine being a owner operator and trying to make a living and pay the truck bills I couldn’t do it but luckily thee are guys like you who lug thru the trucking world Of everybody would except the shit price loads you might force the crook brokers to come up with more money. All the best
How does your APU hold up with the temperatures in the 90s? Usually you just put up your window blinds correct? you don’t use the curtain to separate the sleeper from the front of the truck correct? Does it keep it nice and cold or tolerable?
My heart goes out to you guys all the time you deal with these bad brokers and bad shippers I would just go and direct book with a company you got the equipment you know just find a company and haul for them and let them find you to load out and let them find the load back You won’t have to go through all this shit any longer when I was able to drive before I got hurt that’s what I did I gave up on. I probably got quarter of $1 million sitting out there that I never got paid. ☝🇺🇸💕💖 The hearts go out the lead and a puppy dog🐕🐕 And of course, lots of love he goes out to fat butts and Maggie too loves loves I’m
Robert, blind shipments have been around for as long as iv'e been driving a truck (58 yrs). Probably handled a little differently now. Most likely the same business reasons.
Robert you are 1000% correct that Memphis is a T total sh!thole. I absolutely hate that town when I have to go there for work. Memphis is worse then Chicago.
The tips, and Do you want to round up to save this or that, give a star review, Pay for ice for drinks 49 cents or more at places, use the food app today, you want to up size it, any deserts, help the hungry, food drive containers, frikin robots drives me Nuts, i always say round down give me a break today, $ 12 fast food drive thru meal seriously? i hate going out
☝ When you find that plug, I’ve seen them before, but I can’t describe where it was at. It’s right where the shifting system goes down and you’ll see an electrical box area in there anyway take all that out. Take that unplug it use that electrical cleaner that acid stuff spray the crap on the inside there take on the connectors and resize it a little bit squeeze squeeze the female side in a little bit and then take the male fitting and if we can get a little Emery cloth on them, then put it back together and then tape it. Use some good electrical tape around it and see if that solves your problem. to lose from she loves that girls Mackie, and💕💖💗💗💖💗💕💕🇺🇸🇺🇸 and vote for Trump to get rid of all these damn eagles
The part about the tip was funny! I was a heavy tow operator for 16 years, and I didn’t get very many tips either. So one day I was in a fuck of a mood, and got a call for a tow over 100 miles away. Got to the destination, and no tip. So asked the guy, do you tip at a restaurant, he said yes of course! I told him I just towed your 350,000 dollar truck and trailer and load , and don’t offer a tip , that’s kinda fucked up don’t you think. From that day on, it was my birthday or my kids birthday, I made up some fucking BS to get a tip from someone I had to get out of bed for. Just you all that don’t know tow operators are on call 24/7. Dinner is still up for grads out in Las Vegas you guys.
So you have a stress situation, and it is the Egyptians or flip floppers fault. Grow up. It is our system of load and capacity married to broker greed.
🇺🇸🦅☝ PS tell free Rita or your girlfriend there tell her to take that frown off that face OK put a smile on it. You can only just get worse right in it with a big smile on your face and I got out the truck handed all the paperwork to the company I did it with a big smile, and I danced out of the office and says don’t ever look me up again three years and I haven’t looked back yet. I actually got a better gig and I got a constant paycheck now and I’m home 24 seven my wife is bedridden and I take care of her and I make $18 an hour didn’t sound like much along with my Social Security Social Security we make almost for a little over $4000 tax free a month. Maybe you should look into that it’s called in-home support services.
Robert you & Lita should start a food review at all the truck stops.
Sitting at a light in my pickup recently, I told the trucker next to me he did a great looking tarp job. His big grin and thumbs up made my day.
Anyone that says " Bring me the dogs" is TOPS in my book.❤❤❤

You could have a Tarp tip jar, a Ramp tip jar, and a Load Your Hay for Ya, tip jar.
Always remember: you can’t polish a turd, but you CAN roll it in glitter and make it sparkle...
Hi both of you go steady look after yourselves 🫶👍🇬🇧
awedsome video... as always, you were right in my back yard..out of all of the places in that complex, you picked the BEST one! stay safe!!
If you have to stand and get your food...NO TIP. There was no service.

It’s funny you mentioned the tipping thing. Our pastor last Sunday said if I’m staining up to order my food you’re not getting a tip.
He’s staining to order food ?

restaurants where you sit down and order and the food is brought to your table is where you tip for good service, otherwise no tipping.
Good job driver

I never tip at Counter order restaurant.
A pallet scale only cost 1500$ and their are cheaper ones your correct there's no excuse for each pallet not having a accurate weight
First from Massachusetts 👊🏻💪🏻🫣
Report those brokers to Truckstop and truckers edge … been doing it to ones on central 👊🏻💪🏻
Those are called blind loads. When I was an owner op at landstar I'd get those all the time
I live in Lakeland florida.
Good morning! I was wondering how I can ask to get something transported from Lafayette Indiana to Peachtree City GA?
i feel sorry for whoever has to drive that daycab!
Why don't you go down to Tennessee and drive for Gentry and son's trucking. I think would give you a chance to drive for him Robert. Check it out
Some times you're lucky, sometimes you're good. Sometimes you're shit out of luck 🤷
God luck .
I live in Indonesia and there is no tipping here.
Its called double brokering i happen to me and the load sucked
They already took a tip from your card but they don’t tell you so they can get another tip
CH robinson does a .ot of blind shipments and when I worked LTL we had lots of blind shipments
No hanging around if the sun ain't up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a middleman(distributor) that wants the shipper and receiver not to know each other.

It’s not as good as the mini split we had in the Mack. During the night is good. But during the day it struggles
@@SouthGeorgiahotshot any difference if it drops to the 80s
