Brant, since discovering your videos about a month ago I have watched more fishing videos between your channel and Bama’s than I ever have. My nearest beach is four hours away, but I am living vicariously through you. Thanks for the videos. I really enjoy your personality and hope to meet you some day. Blessings to you. Take care of your leg.
I had a permit to fish a segment of the upper Grand Canyon. Permits were approved 3 months out well, and old knee injury required arthroscopic surgery. My surgery was done 48hrs before my permit....I hiked 13 miles and caught 24 inch trout for two days....I was 30 and a triathlete so I had some advantages. At 64, I got the same knee replaced. It was worth it.
Amen Brother. Back in the day I was chasing Native canyon fish with an old plaster cast on. It was shredded when I went back to get a new one my Dr was furious. You do what you have to do.
@Patricia Guenzler it isn't public property lol. The GC is owned by the federal government. So yeah it'd be smart to get permission instead of jail time.
Nice tank you landed there. I'm glad to see you up and fishing again. Take it easy until you're fully recovered. We don't need anything to interrupt your video output.
I am glad your leg is on the mend and glad to see you back in the saddle. Nice catch and beautiful water. Like you said, we should all take time to enjoy what mother-nature has to offer 🤙
I have the Saltist 4500 that was released back in 2016 and it is indestructible. I caught my PB redfish on that reel. I also own the Daiwa Fuego 3000 and the Daiwa BG MQ 3000 which has become my new favorite in shore light set up . I love Daiwa everything ! I am a believer . The saltist 4500 is built like a 5000 or 6000 size reel and it has the balls and fight power to compete with reels larger than that in my opinion .
Enjoyed your success with the new Daiwa reel, Brant. My crappie/bluegill outfit has a Daiwa reel that I've been using for 30 years. It's never failed me once. They just go and go and go.
Brant, Video is fantastic. Can tell you are hurting. Don't over do it. Another multi species successful day. Thanks for sharing the panhandle with us! God bless!
Ooh! Massive Diawa fan! Dang my girl would be jealous! Love ❤️ the colors. I have a black & gold Diawa spitfire I think it's called, that I use for Flatheads.
Nice to see you back in action hope you are feeling better. I was also at that same spot earlier in week and got a 37” red on a swim jig. Love that spot have caught lots of reds on that stretch
Nice dude! I've got a goal of catching 200+ fish from the surf this year. I'm at 56 right now, I'm also in the Pacific Northwest so I can only fish at certain times due to surf being 10-12ft at times lol
If you ever wonder whether everyone is bothered by the jet noise in your videos. I for one am not. Sound of freedom brother!! Thanks for the videos. Keep it up
Great video Brant! Awesome bull red. Someday I’d love to go for one of those, but maybe a slot so I can eat it. Maybe, just maybe I should go fishing next time in Florida. Yup, that’s the problem. Lol Take care of that leg. Thanks for sharing
Keep healing my brother and enjoying what is before that is greater than you. Your love for fishing is a good watch for I am up in age but still have the love for fishing. Shalom
Was that a jet propelled Fred flying by about 5 minutes into video?? Enjoyed the video. Looks like another trip to Ft. Pickens. Praying for your full recovery. "Catching Reel Memories"
Had 3 poles/spikes go into the water this morning- east coast (Little Talbot Island)- fastest I ran in many a year. Saved them all- breakdown & lube them up- now required. Will search for video on reel maintenance. Heal up Brant.
Do you primarily fish in the Pensacola area? We were just down there for vacation at Windemere in Perdido Key. I started following you cause I thought it was pretty neat to see someone from the area. Thank you for the awesome videos! We are from Nebraska.
I live in Florida and just started surf/bay fishing on the gulf... as I usually fish freshwater.....what do you think is the best morning and or evening fishing times to be on he gulf and bay to fish?
That stretch between Gulf Shores, AL and Panama City, FL has to be the best beaches in the mainland USA. I miss the old family vacations to perdido key and Navarre.
100% I grew up in Pensacola and I totally took for granted the beaches for 20 years. I got married and moved to Middle GA and literally got depressed in part from not having the beach. I got back to see family a couple of times a year, but watching Grant makes it seem like I need to go waaaay more often.
Hey Brant Glad to see you up and doing what you love. Great video ! So I got a question for you. What size of mono or braid do you recommend for surf fishing for big reds or a jack kravall? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Brant, do you tie your line directly to the ES Casting Spoon or do you use a split ring? I just ordered about a hundred bucks worth of them from Beach Bum Outdoors. Thanks for any info you can provide.
yo, brant here's the question i want an answer to... with so many people unable to get enough food, it it possible that you could catch and donate instead of catch and release? it would be great publicity to donate your catches to local food banks, etc. Is there a good reason for not doing this?
That fish, not, however you do a lot of releasing of keepers, yes? Just wondering if you have considered the keep and provide option. Not trying to criticize, just wondering?
I had to "catch" my new BG MQ 20000 in the water today...had to cast to find it...a stingray took my rod and reel in the ocean after breaking the cheap riveted rod holder..I was casting and wasn't watching...the rod was GONE when looked back...who knows how long it was gone but my rod after catching the line was WAYYY OUT in the gulf...I was lucky I found it by casting in the water with my jig...the stingray was huge and I finally got it in...almost lost a 450 dollar rig I've used only twice.
Ok. I'm glad to see you back out and your leg is getting better. I too am getting over a knee injury. It sucks. Not sure why you decided to go wading. And....I hope that wad you had in your mouth was a snack and not chewing tobacco. Why would you record a UA-cam video with a large hunk of stuff in your mouth? I did enjoy the jet plane going overhead and the video part was just a sea bird flying. Funny. Glad you caught a big red. Maybe take some more time off? 😏

Now THATS a fishing trip, dude!
Permit for public land OMG unbelievable good luck 🤞
@Patricia Guenzler it isn't public property lol. The GC is owned by the federal government. So yeah it'd be smart to get permission instead of jail time.
How old are you now?
Beautiful water and such fun fishing!!! Thanks so much!!! ❤❤❤

Starting at 5:18..that bird sounded like a jet lmao. And another great vid man!
Used to spend time at my FSU room mates home in Milton back in mid 60s. Loved Pensacola and Ft Walton beaches.
Wow!! What catches!!!!

Love your videos; inspiring me to do more beach surf videos

Haha nice easy day with no running around or doing anything crazy. Fish: watch this.
Hey Brant
Glad to see you up and doing what you love. Great video ! So I got a question for you. What size of mono or braid do you recommend for surf fishing for big reds or a jack kravall? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Y’all! That’s a hell of a sand spike!
yessir gooden..thumbs up to ya brant..
The Saltist mq is my favorite reel
Brant, do you tie your line directly to the ES Casting Spoon or do you use a split ring? I just ordered about a hundred bucks worth of them from Beach Bum Outdoors. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Thanks for show
Man you lucky. I NEVER had 2 fish on!
Wow hot hit great video 🎣🐟👌
I honestly believe you did this more for the fishing than the content! Love your videos, and have a speedy recovery!
Good advice for sting rays
As soon as you showed the blue fish I said, “ I hope he checks his line” 😂
Been known to happen when you put more than one bait out at a time! :)
Those spoons are really versatile.
Hey Brant, I've been trying to figure out why you don't like catfish? Just curious
Hey buddy you have a really good bite going on..lol
Just found your channel. Thx. Where are you? ATLANTIC? Gulf? Not asking a specific location. Just in general for reference.
I’m in Pensacola on the gulf
Got that old man hobble 😂
Another great video!!
Appreciate it
Brant was rolling up 😂
You’re hardcore with a bad leg 😱🙌🏽
It broke my heart Everytimes i see that Rhod bend like this and nobody is there to pick it up.
Great video is that the bay side? Trying to learn.
Yes
Good to see you back out fishing
Yes 🙌🏾
Do y’all do any guiding ?
yo, brant here's the question i want an answer to... with so many people unable to get enough food, it it possible that you could catch and donate instead of catch and release? it would be great publicity to donate your catches to local food banks, etc. Is there a good reason for not doing this?
That fish wasn’t legal to keep.

heading to new smyrna next week. any tips on bait or otherwise?
I have never fished that area before
Idk if anyone said it but redfish blue fish one fish two fish ...epic tight lines adventure
Sometimes do you have different mikes on or do you chew dip? It sounds like you have marbles in your mouth in some videos
Haha, just asked the same thing 😂
@JJJ3355 lol. Its true right. Sometimes it's so annoying. If he chews tobacco I wish he wouldn't in his videos.
What exactly happened to your leg?
Do you chew the cud?
Man, you guys birds have really loud exhaust in Florida.
😅
What size line you use
was that bird in afterburner?
Or you could get an 8 foot length of pvc pipe about 2-3 inches diameter, in the middle cut it at an angle and there you have 2 cheap pole holders

It’s sunflower seeds. Not that big of a deal lol
Where was that other beach area at
What size is your slammer iv dx and what lbs braid do you use ?
That’s a 4500 with 20lb braid
@@AnglerUpTv I just got that reel with 20lbs braid also. Hope I can land a good size king from the pier with it. What’s your opinion on it ?
That was the loudest bird I've ever seen.
