- Pick up your own set of brand skins: www.dbrand.com/HeyMarkL - Here's why I was wrong about Google's newest budget phone, the Pixel 6a.
Google's latest mid-range budget Pixel 6a is officially in stores and after spending a month with the device, really using it and see what it's all about. I came to the conclusion that I was wrong... My early impressions on the phone was not great, and I'll be honest. The Pixel 6a is the best Android phone you can buy for under $500. No doubt about it.

Trade in back to $300 as of August 14th. So you can get the phone for 150 plus tax. So it's a win if you have a old phone in a draw you never plan to use.
Pinning this so everyone knows!! This is perfect.
@@HeyMarkL Thanks Mark. Love your content.
@@MatthewMoscotto where do you go to get that deal?
Google seems to tax you on the full 450. Once they receive your 300 dollar trade-in, will they give you back the taxes on the 300 they charged?
@@HeyMarkL Great job on the video! I'm going to be more than satisfied with my Pixel 6a‼️
I don't get why people are crying over the 60hz I've switched from a one plus that had 90hz and trust me the pixel 6a is twice as fast without turning off animations etc. The only negative I'd give to this phone is the charging speed.
Exactly, the charging speed is the only actual negative I've seen so far. It's something worth complaining about as opposed to 60hz.
I too have a 120hz phone, which based off all the noise, I thought switching would be impossible but I just 2 hours in, I totally forgot it's 60hz. It's basically petty, should anyone complain about this.
The only ppl complaining about it don't even own a Pixel.
What are you even talking about bruh ? Of course the pixel 6a will be faster than your one plus but that's just because of it's chipset. Now take the pixel 6a and the pixel 6 (who has 90hz), put them side by side and tell me that there is no difference between 60hz and 90hz... If you also have a phone who does 90hz try to switch back to 60hz and tell me there is no difference... You can't so now just stop talking about stuff you know nothing about because smoothness (wich is what higher refresh rate brings) has nothing to do with fastness, they are 2 completly different things.
@@alexgreg152 the 60hz on the pixel 6a is better than the 90hz on my Nord, fact. Stop crying dummy. Most phones at this price range may have higher refresh rate but with a terrible processor. Then you don't have half the camera a pixel does. 60hz is absolutely fine, better battery comes with it. You keep you're higher refresh rates that drains your battery 😂 plus you need to learn to read I never said there was no difference between lower and higher refresh rates, I said the 60hz is better than the 90hz on my previous phone.
@@squared_circle You must be slow or something else. First of all re read my comment, then who tf you think you are to call me dum or to even insult me ? Did your parents didn't teach you politness ? But hey, i forgot that you know everything about phones when you can't even understand a simple comment... Sure...
This is been one of my best phone purchases. My last 3 phones was the OnePlus 8t, 12 mini and flip 3 and while all those phones were good in their own ways, this one has been the most satisfying. 60hz is no issue and I'm running Android 13 and that update pushes this phone ahead of anything in this price range. The flip 3 was nice and one UI is really good but bloated. I found the 6a to just do everything right with no issues. IV had non if the issue people talked about like the phone being choppy or finger print issues. This may also be due to Android 13 beta 4 fixing many if those problems also. And animations have been so smooth in some areas it almost feels like it's running over 60hz. It's definitely 60hz ios level smooth.
Exactly same as your experience
Z flip 3 was nice but overall it's too bloated and iPhone 13 Mini wasn't a great experience. I prefer Pixel 6a over 6 and 6 Pro because of its size
really keen to to try on beta, but a lot of people get fingerprints issue where it’s no longer usable. do you experience anything with the fingerprint?
@@antiquaantique hey there, So My pixel 6a arrived Yesterday, and I live in india ( most reviewers were saying that fingerprint issue is present only in Indian varient )
So here is my take
So Far I have had no issues regarding phone
Not even regarding fingerprint scanner that might be also due to as I got my phone I instantly updated to latest security update
Yes fingerprint works very well for me but it's optical so it's not like a physical touch sensor which will unlock phone just by small contact of thumb, so to improve i added my same finger 3 times so it works every single time for me.
Regarding Screen - I'm coming from 4 year old 60Hz phone and trust me when I say this this 60hz is way to smooth might even say 2 or 3 times smoother than previous phone, i don't even feel like it's 60hz this might he due to that it uses latest high end display panel with high end chip.
And Now there is Video out there you can search about it, one user was able to unlock 90hz on pixel 6a by using custom ROM, This is because companies don't want to bear the cost for manufacturing 2-3 types of refresh rate displays so Google just stuck 90hz display and capped it at 60hz using theirs software
@@arunnikam6551 thanks man.. i have no issue with fingerprint sensor on android 12, but some people reported they have issue once they update the software to android 13 beta..
@@antiquaantique There's no need to update to 13 beta, use 12 only it's fine not polished everyone knows it had lot of bugs as it was launch in hurry last year, that won't be the case with Android 13 When launched i.e. Next months September
So update it later when it'll officially get A13
And Man o Man i can't express enough how good the size of this phone is There is day and night difference when just seeing specs and using phone
It looks premium in person, it takes great photos, Runs smooth and fast af
I'm glad I didn't spend extra for Pixel 6 as this doesn't make me feel like I should have gone for something extra than this.
With the recent Black Friday sale and trade in value (from the 4a), I went ahead and ordered the 6a. It's coming today! I was tortured trying to decide between the 6a and 7, but really, really, really like the smaller form factor, and that ultimately decided it for me. I realized that I could easily trade it next year for the 7a for next to free, and enjoy the faster chip in the meantime. I don't expect a major upgrade from the 4a, it'll probably be pretty minor, but I couldn't resist going to a newer model for 70ish bucks. The only problem I'm having now is deciding whether I want to actually trade in the 4a or keep it as a backup (and extra storage) lol! I mean, I only paid $322.92 in total for the 6a, so even though i could definitely use that $250.00 back in my account, I think I could live without it too.
For me as well its month anniversary with pixel 6a, it work pretty awesome when compared with other budget smartphone. The only drawback I found is the plastic back which is a SCRATCH magnet for me. I had to use silicone CASE to protect it in daily usage.
We can provide free Google Pixel 6a screen protector to everyone for trial. If you are interested, welcome to contact us.
Thanks for all your support for the Pixel 6a. I just bought a new one. I received the phone on November 30. After and before the updates and going to os 13. This phone Over Heats big time. Especially when I talk on the phone and go to different websites. It heats up fast. It gets way too hot. I live in a weak signal area, so I don't really get the 5 g signal. And my calls are not that great. My friends sound like they have a mental bucket sometimes over their heads. Not all the time, on the calls I hear the distortion. Most calls are ok and they sound good. I went from a Pixel 3a XL. That was great. Almost no issues. My carrier didn't support the phone after the end of the security updates . I should have waited for the 7a.
Bought mine at INR 27K (around USD350) in sale last week , its utter smooth with flawless processing , and the screen is much better than my previous one plus device , hands down THE BEST mid range smartphone as of today
How is the heating issue
@@adithyaadi1363heating is there but better than previous pixel model.
@@adithyaadi1363 mine gets warm when you use mobile data 5g and wifi hotspot at the same time
Nice video... Did you have any connectivity issues with the 6a? I have the 6 and it drops its cell signal constantly...
What's a fast charger I can buy for it? Also if I drop it from my bed or something will it get damaged? (My old phone didn't and I dropped it a LOT)
Just got mine for $299 on black Friday and with my 3a trade in for $200, I am paying only $99. Sweet!! I'd have kept the 3a, love it, but the battery life was killing me and it was doing a few things that said "Get New Phone". Got a teen to keep track of. Just setting up now... looking forward to more happiness.....
Same here. I did the same. I was using Pixel 3a for the past 4 years and traded that in for $200 when the 6a was $150 off on Black Friday. I will miss my Pixel 3a. Hopefully 6a will not disappoint me.
Me to just got it for $99 w/Pixel 3a trade .. Couldn't pass up the black Friday deal...
$350
why not wait a month or so for pixel 7a?
The Hz doesn't bother me on a phone, I'm more concerned about screen brightness . Pixel are always a tad dim when it comes to screen brightness ( dim nits )
Is this any heating issue do u experience while normal use?
O
1:39 How do you not check to see if your phone is charging?
Watching this with my newly acquired pixel6A
woooot! Congrats dude.
So, do you think it is worth the money ? Any "review" like overheating or fingerprint issue ?
@@alexgreg152 i dont think its a overheating issue it gets hot faster especially when im using it with data on. All phones do,
(Edit) And today i break the bottom screen of my pixel good thing its only a small crack, so you be careful with your pixel 6a's its not as strong as my iphone 13 screen,
fingerprint sensor is slower than my Samsung a52s.
First i don't feel its slow like some say's, i have ipad pro, so i knew high refresh screen feels, and the A52s,. And the hepatic touch is so good. Its apple level.
All in all its worth the money specially the camera quality i always edit my photos before posting it, and im using Lr for it, now with google own editing that u find in its picture app is morethan enough, no need to pay for monthly subscriptions in Adobe., i only have one issue, since it's my first pixel phone,. i expect that the experience of pixel os is there. But its limiting some of the features, since im in Dubai and call screening doesn't work here and no 5g reception.
I need a new phone. I currently use an IPhone 8 Plus…..1 question…..how is the alarm clock? I have not had good experiences with phone alarms
I have an Xperia 5III with 120 Hz and I mostly use the stamina settings that reduces it to 60hz, this saves battery and I don't really think about the refresh rate.
I bought the Pixel 6a for my 14 year old son, but I am thinking about switching phones. It's like you said, all bout the experience. No bloatware, fast, excellent camera and many updates. And the size is perfect. Not narrow and tall like my Xperia 5III but just perfect balance of width and height.
I just bought it recently. It completely changed my Android experience...
I was running after iPhone first but this phone changed my passion and force me to forget any other mobile brands... 😍
And you will never understand that it’s 60z refresh rate It's so fast MashaAllah. ❤
How much it's price?
@@markshnitel3354 regular price in sweden Is 4900 Sek.but I bought it on 2900 sek in Black Friday discount

@@jennyroseagnis5375 you can have excellent photography with pixel except portrait. Portrait you may need to edit sometimes after capture.Otherwise All good.but go for pixel 7 or 7 pro.
I wanna get this phone for video recording..Does it heat up a lot??
Can I charge this phone with the old 2.0 usb charger?
I don't understand the argument that it doesn't have wireless charging due to plastic back. I put it in my note 4 which had a plastic back and it worked fine
I just ordered a 6a last night in that sharp white color. People complain about the 60 hertz thing but as long as it runs smoothly I could care less. Same for wireless charging while nice to have I’ve only legit used a handful of times. My only issues with pixels are the brightness could be better and overheating. Otherwise I feel like for $480 with tax the 6a is the best overall mini flagship value phone out now. Once Google can fix their bugs and issues, they will truly be the android version of iPhone.
@Jason Frawley bruh 🤣😂
@Jason Frawley if someone wants to buy Apple they can freely do so, if they buy android it’s because they want android
@Jason Frawley that’s true until certain degree. Yet it’s the developers. And I have found plenty of apps on iPhones that are not optimized either. Just one example is real racing 3, which stutters and it runs way less fps than on androids and also when you are playing on many 3d intensive games and you get a notification I have noticed the game lags and stutters a lot, even though it’s the latest iPhone, I have not seen that on android. iPhones should be able to handle smooth gaming even when you get notifications. I know what I’m saying because o have an iPhone at this moment as it’s the only compact phone you can find, yet I know android pretty well
The heating and fingerprint issues have significantly reduced since Android 13 update, but my only gripe is the slow charging :(
Hi there... I'm thinking of getting pixel 6a, so wanted to ask you if the bugs and issues got fixed after their latest update ? Thank you. 🙏
I just bought a 6a and have some questions. Do you know why there is no automatic flash setting for video (and if you think they might fix this in future?) ? The camera app has pretty good options but this basic function is gone. Also another basic is the option to turn flash on and off while recording. The options are available on EVERY other android I've owned. What gives? Thank you for your time and opinion. I enjoyed your video but am confused how no other 6a video has addressed these points. I doubt I'm the only one to miss these necessary functions. Great video.
When you get in a dark situation my 6a seems to go into night shot mode and there is a nightshot auto flash setting. Check it out
@@tenncutt thanks for the tip. On my phone there is a choice for night shot, which does not implement the flash, and the other setting uses flash all the time. And that is for still shots. I was hoping for automatic flash when recording videos. I did find a janky way to do this (from a review of the camera app in the Play Store) I can record a video from the still camera screen by holding down the shutter button, (with flash turned on) and this will activate the flash only while recording. The trade-off is it only films in 30fps, but the bigger trade-off is that it turns off image stabilization. I still want to thank you for your suggestion. I just am real puzzled that this is the first android camera I've owned (at any price point) that doesn't offer auto flash. But I am apparently in a huge minority for wanting this feature. I posted a question on Reddit about this issue and got laughed at for wanting this feature. If nobody wants a flash, why put it on the phone? Recording with the stupid 'always on' flash (in video mode) has overheated my phone 3 times. And I'm not some noob crying because my phone got warm. The app turned off the flash and gave me an overheat warning.
Anyway, you can tell I've got a bee in my Batsuit over this problem, and I appreciate your suggestion. Happy Pixel-ing
does its battery drain fast on data usage? is it legit!!
What about temps, finger print, battery drain and connectivity issues?
Been using the phone a week now on android 13 it is very awesome phone 60hz display feel fast and performance improved alot . I dont mind lack of wireless charging because i dont use wireless charging.
I can get iphone 11/xs/xr for almos the same price or 150-200$(11) more expensive as google 6a ; which one should I get??????
I think having 60hz vs 90hz for example will be pretty good for the battery life also. Did someone measure battery drain on a phone when changing from 120hz , 90 hz and 60 hz? I wonder if the 120 hz phone drains the battery twice as fast compared to 60 hz phone for example?
My phone is not pixel 6a but in my experience the difference is very much noticeable even from 120 to 90
I just got a new one year contract with Xfinity internet which I do every year to get the cost lower, but this time they sent me a free Pixel 6a and $20 off each month's bill for two years. What's the catch?
Guys please suggest me camera wise
Which is best
Iphone 11 or pixel6a
Which one I should buy if am concerned about camera ?!
Currently using a Poco X3 NFC and I'd be more than happy to be getting the 6A.

What about call quality? It is after all a phone first and foremost. Or don't people make phone calls anymore?
I'll wait for the 7a myself. Can't wait to see just how much it'll take from the 7.
waiting for the same.
Can you share the link to the Wallpaper? Thanks!
Yeah, but how well does it work when making phone calls? I know that's not a thing people do with their phones these days, but sometimes you have to, you know, actually talk to someone. I had an LG phone that was great at everything except when it came to phone calls.
And did you talk about if they fixed the wifi bug and the Low Network bar problem on pixel 6 and pro
Why no one talks about front camera?
Any comments on that?
Did you have any problems with dropped calls ,and network in general?
Its true as a first pixel user didnt expect to be smoother i thought it would be slow same as my s10 60hz
Bro which version is best uk ,usa or Japan
Honest question from someone who has never experienced a phone with a 120hz refresh rate: Unless the phones are side by side, would you really notice the difference between a 60hz and a 120hz display? I have never, ever had issues with screen "lag" or "choppy" performance from any of my multitude of Android phones over the years that had 60hz displays. I do not use my phone for gaming, and depending on the game, I could probably understand the 120hz hype. But for every day people who use their smartphone as a divice for consuming multimedia and plays low level games, 120hz is not a game changer...IMHO.
If you’ve never used a phone with a 90hz or 120hz. You most likely won’t notice the difference!
So you ask a question but then you respond yourself saying that "in everyday use you won't notice the difference" and "it's only in video games" ? Btw i don't even know how you can tell that because you said it yourself, you have never experienced a 90hz or a 120hz display so you don't know what it can brings to you on a normal use...
Yes, real difference. Once you get a 120hz, you can’t go back. Not everybody feel same but most people don’t want to go back to a 60hz screen.
A lot of midrange phone had 90hz in 2021 then 120hz in 2022
I never had 90/120hz phones
And yeah, I can feel even 90hz right away
My phone has 120 hz but I leave it off for better battery life because I don't notice the difference.
Sorry I'm late to this vid, but question. Can I get a DBRAND skin that will let my gorgeous Sage Green come thru but add some grip? Maybe like a translucent clear? Thanks a lot.
Nothing like that at the moment unfortunately.
Dropped the phone and it cracked what can I do now
Just to clarify -- does six hours of screen time on a single charge refer to actually using the phone for six hours, or just six hours of having it in your pocket and using it once in a while to answer calls, etc?
Screen on time = screen on! If it's in your pocket the screen isn't on.
@@Fozzee.1970 Got it, thanks for the reply!
On 4G (LTE) mode just a regular use it might work about 5 hours during a day. On wi-fi it might be around 6,5 hours. But if you use super battery economy mode then it can work on 4G for about 6 hours, and on wi-fi for about 8 hours. Note that all those scenarios with no gaming and video rec. Just watching video and browsing. If you record a video it gets heated up in 2 minutes of recording... But it is still a very nice model. I recommend it if you're not a hard user of mobile use.
Welp, it's time for my upgrade and I have to ask would you recommend the 6A or the S22?
If you’re looking at the S22. Look into the Pixel 6. Not the 6A. You’ll have more fun with the Pixel 6 in my opinion vs the S22.
Google Pixel 6a support always-on display?
Much appreciated! My Pixel 6 pro's display crapped out on me and I got it second hand and these are 300$ on Google's site rn.

Hi can you do Honor phone vid please i have honor for 5 years very good and i like to buy one new phone now cause i broke it, but i not sure which honor or should i buy pixel 6a :)
I just got mine, replacing the 5a.. the on screen fingerprint scanner is atrocious! They hit the nail on the head with the back fingerprint sensor on 4a and 5a I've never had an issue.. now with the 6a it commonly takes multiple attempts and an awkward grasp to unlock it. I wish they kept the reliable fingerprint sensor.
Yeah, I don't know why he kept going on for the ENTIRE video about 60Hz and not even once talked about the awful fingerprint sensor.
Can you people PLEASE put your fingerprint more than ONCE on your phone! Dang!
Setup your fingerprint for the first time in a relaxed and neutral position, then set up your fingerprint in an angle for the same finger.
It's never perfect but, that should solve your fingerprint issue.
You can also set up more angles if you want.
@@thetechrealist well of course I spent lots of time trying to make it work reliability. It unlocks slightly more reliably for me after rescanning than it does for people who don't have their fingerprints in the system at all.. Only slightly though 🤦♂️

Heck yeah! Hopefully the 90hz unlock can be done easier 🤓
Are you sure its a 60hz panels feels so much more than 60 when using it. Didn't notice that much difference honestly.
I'm reading lots of complaints about overheating. Is it really a common issue or are these unfortunate people just speaking the loudest? I record a lot of video out in the sun so overheating would be a concern. I currently use a pixel 4A and I've only ever had a shutdown maybe twice over the past 2 years because I was recording video and the Dead heat of Summer.
To be fair, even the Pixel 6, 6 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro, and other flagships I've used in the past can overheat in the dead heat of summer while recording videos for hours on out. It's just a matter of how much are you filming during the day and what the temps are like. If you're not recording for an hour straight, you should be fine, but in increments of 5, 10, 15 minutes, you'll be ok!
Whats the name of that racing game ?

There appears to be a workaround for the refresh rate-someone was able to make the display refresh at 90hz, and apparently, the display panel was built to handle it. 👀
How?? Please share it with us
Check out the verge's article covering the same.
That only works with some of them and the process is long and difficult.

I came from the s series on the Samsung galaxy and I love the pixel 6a the tensor chip makes the 60hrz display buttery smooth and 128 g of storage is more than enough plus the camera 📸 is brilliant 💯👌
60hz isn’t bad. And now the phone is 299€ which makes it probably the best value phone.

Thanks, I've just ordered 6a upgrading my old hauwei p30 pro thats having sound and speaker issues. Im sure the pixel will be perfect
I remember people fighting over Windows Mobile Slow Ring and Fast Ring back in 2014, people still fighting over betas?😂
The thing is that Pixel 6 is $499 so only $50 more than 6A and you get quite a few upgrades: 8GB RAM, better camera, 90Hz display, Gorilla Victus, wireless charging. So is 6A really a better deal than 6?
There’s actually been a lot of sales for the 6a recently. This target audience probably won’t care too much about those things, but I could be wrong. Just depends on your actual budget once you factor in taxes and shipping.
A week ago I ordered this one from Dubai for $330 with delivery. It is a japanese version but nothing special than the global version. A beautiful device for its price. Why I have not bought the Pixel 6 is because it is only the size of the device. Pixel 6a fits in my palm better than Pixel 6 or Pro version. They are like bricks))))
Thank you for this great review. I ordered the phone today and it is on it''s way as I type this. I live in the Netherlands, and bought this phone in a 'Black Friday' offer for 299,00 euro's, which at the current exchange rate is 311 dollars! Mark, My parents and I were using the Samsung Galaxy A53. That phone gave me so many problems. The main issues I experienced were the GPS and the blue tooth. Activate developer option and turn off few things, and your a53 become s22
which charger you use for 6A bro?
the screen is a little dim though. got to keep the brightness pretty high in well lit rooms
The dim would be a pro Argument for me, cause I am sensitive with Bright colours
Is it worth it to upgrade from 5A to 6A? Haven't seen a review comparing the two yet
I’d say so. The Google tensor chip is like 3x maybe 4x faster than the 765G processor.
@@HeyMarkL Thanks, will think about it. Wish somebody will do a comprehensive comparison between the 2.
Trade in the 5a for $300, makes the $150 upgrade a no brainer.
Why 5G is not working here in the middle east and even in the Philippines? Google doesn't provide this network?
Bought yesterday for €360 (Italy). It replaces my 4a that still work super fine, but my father needed to change his old phone so I'll give him the 4a and switch to this 6a.
How is it in comparison to the 4a?
@@CCMrJones if you come from a 4a you feel you're using the same phone, but bigger 😅 no significant improvement for the cam (except from some new tools), screen looks the same, processor it's fastet, for sure, but you don't notice it if you use your phone for browsing/Gmail/twitter like I do (maybe the improvement is more evident for people who play heavy games on the phone). Battery last for a bit longer (maybe 20% more?), but it's not impressive. I'm happy with it because I loved my 4a, bit if yours still works perfectly wait for the 7a!
The Pixel 6A is on sale right now for $300 or I could get the Samsung S20 FE 4G for $250 this black friday. Which do you think is the better deal?
Get the Pixel 6a because it has a 5G module, and it is a fresh device. It fits perfect in the palm. One-hand device with an awesome camera and wonderful video stabilizer.
I got this japanese version for $330 from Dubai. Only the camera has a low soft shutter sound and nothing else. For $330 it is an amazing device. To be honest, it works about 4-5 hours of screenplay on 4G, on wi-fi it might be a little longer. It's not a problem. I use it on super economy mode and made exceptions for daily apps so the phone works on wi-fi not less than 8 hours, on 4g it might work about 6 hours. No lagging, no freezing, no glitching, no heating. All smooth and fast. I recommend this device for those who do not play games and like form-factor, design and nice camera shots. Super light and beautiful back cover. Go and buy!
I am torn between this 6a and the Pro. I like the not-so-thick camera bump of 6a, but I am leaning towards the 6 Pro for the better camera (zoom, etc). Or maybe just wait for Pixel 7.
Get the pro. You seem like you'd enjoy it more
Just wait until the 7 drops. We're about a month out from the release date.
Did you decide which one to grab?
i bought this phone for
IP67
tensor chip as good as 888
google translation and speech to text
camera
no bloatware crap
3 times new android and 5 years security updates
price
what bothers me?
only charge time 18W its way to low.....2 hours charging is a pain in this day of age...they need to speed it up on alll pixels. i had lg g6 before this pixel and the charge time was the same 5 years ago!!!!!
Seems like a good idea to trade in your old phone until they say no its already outdated & we don't accept them or they hit you with a price so low it doesn't even cover to gas money.
I just got this phone today. It's great for zoom class business & photos. Great review thank you for this. 👍
Heyyy hiii. Will you please tell me if the upload quality on instagram is any better than eother Android phones? And will I be able to switch between lenses in the ig and snap chat?
@@itsmeayansheikh I co asked
Ive got a samsung a52S 5g, i love the look of this phone but my a52s is 120 hrtz so would this be a downgrade for me?
Yes, it will be a downgrade. You just go a a52s and you already want to change ?
🤨 don’t understand
@@iAfroTech ive had the a52s for a year
@@DJTXD123 ive had my xiaomi mi10t lite for 3 years. 1 year is nothing tbh, u got one of the best midrange phones on the market
I mailed in the old phone, Google shows they received it on 8/4/22. Google has be reviewing it for the month of August. I have called, emailed, done online chat. I have not received any money.
They tell me many people are having the same problem. Do NOT trade in with Google. Sell the phone yourself.
Got my $300 trade in credit refunded to my card a few days after they received it. It's odd they are taking this long for yours.
Myself I like the eye candy with the higher refresh rate screens. That being said I don't understand why the tech channels have been dumping on this device for having a 60hz screen. For the price Google are selling the device it's an absolute steal. Price to performance is practically unmatched.
I’m really torn between the 6a and the zen9 . Sure the zen is more expensive, but is it enough better?
My video on the Zenfone 9 comes out on Wednesday. Spoiler alert. Better than 6a for sure! More compact too!
@@HeyMarkL can't wait.
In the one hand it's a pixel with pixel camera, in the other hand it's more compact and a fingerprint sensor on the side. Then again it's Google vs Asus, 3 vs 2 years update (I try to use phones until they die). Choice anxiety.
The Zen is pretty much vanilla Android right?
i was really waiting for this phone. always wanted a pixel! the only thing that keeps me back from buying it is the 128gb limit. i have a 4 years Xiaomi MiA2 (one they had a partnership with google to put it as a clean android phone) and it has 110gb of space used... with the camera pixel has i really feel i would need more space.
Exactly 128 gb is too little and the regular 6 too big
Just sub to Google one. Bam! Extra 100 gb
im confused because most people say the 60hz is fine but Marques says this phone feels slow. but to be fair he said that about the 4a too but everyone loves the 4a
Not confusing. Marques is simply wrong. Happens to the best of us. In truth he could have JUST finished using a 120hz and his brain hadn't adjusted yet, OR he had a pre release prior to the last sw update. Either way, phone is snappy and super smooth. Don't take my word though.... By now you should be able to go into a Best Buy and judge for yourself.
I got this phone and I can tell it's not a really exciting phone but ok for the price and the fact that I got $300 trade in for my 4a + free Google buds. However, at least my phone, has a terrible GPS problem where it's constantly "searching for GPS" and I have to calibrate Google maps frequently. I'm somewhat regretful I got it... Should have waited for the Pixel 7...
Hey cheers for that.
R u still experiencing the gps issue?
Mine gets a little warm sometimes, but I have no phone to compare it to, except my trade-in 4a5g. Hoping that Android 13 addresses some of these issues.
i love the plastic back. honestly.. this glass back thing makes no sense to me in the first place. plastic is way more durable. you know whats 100% NOT durable when you drop it? glass... and the heavier the phone the worse because the impact is more intense. and stuff like 5g and 120hz displays to me personally are kinda pointless on phones aswell. i cant live without high refresh rates on my pc but on my phone? for what? i need to end up disabling it anyways to save battery, wich is more important. and 5g?.. what do you need that speed for? most of what people do can be handled by 4g just fine and bandwidth on phones is so expensive that you cant even afford to download THAT fast
but please for god sake, can companies please stop marketing wireless charging as a ''premium'' feature? heck even old phones like a galaxy s6 had it... and nowadays a 2022 phone that is like 10 times better can not do it? it makes no sense and its one of the main features i dont want to live without anymore because you know what is the first thing that broke on the last 3 phones i owned? correct... the stupid usb c port that wears down SO freakin fast... charging cables, add usb dongles for headphones aswell because who needs a headphone jack and you ll get a loose connection pretty quickly. now imagine you have a perfectly fine phone and you can basicly put it into the trashcan because you cannot charge it anymore.
the less i have to use this finnicky fragile usb port.. the better...
Yup, you are right the phone doesn't feel like 60hrz.
What do you people do with a phone? Battery on my 4A lasted four to five days. On the 6A, it's three to four days.
I’m always on social, and playing games and screen brightness almost always 70% or higher.
Some people like watching Netflix or Disney+ laying on their couch😉
Thank you for such a great video, I am getting a Google Pixel 6a because of my budget, and it was recommended by my carrier because it would fit my needs more.
I will be honest i don't care about wireless charging can't wait to get this phone getting one this week I have a galaxy s 7 edge so I defo need an upgrade and this phone is fine for me,what seals it for me is the tensor chip.
what about the fact that the fingerprint sensor is still not working in 2023 and it's not since android 13, it hasn't been working since I've bought the phone. I've changed my prints many times. I've put the always on display option on, they tell you to do the "increase touch sensitivity" .... what a joke. It literally does NOTHING. I tried ten times with and ten times without, it literally changes nothing. I took off my screen protector that I payed 25E and it still doesnt work but now I have no protection on my screen and just threw 25E out. For a 450e phone or even now 350 it still does not have a fingerprint sensor that works... beside of that the screen does freeze so sometimes even if you don't have the sensor on and you want to open your phone with code you have to press the button on the right of the phone to then press the finger print to then press the code to then press enter the code. WHICH IS PRETTY SIMPLE AND HANDY RIGHT ? with all the gadget that you use once and never again the 450 phone is not even able to open itself in a simple maner... What kind of experience it is when you struggle everytime you try to open your phone. this device is a joke and they know it. give me back my money
