I was going to buy the 6 when the price dropped the other week but noticed it's now gone back up. 6a also gives free buds so it's a decent deal especially once you trade in your old phone. I'm coming from a 3a XL so I'm sure the 6a is a good upgrade.
Sunshine when you spot a deal, go for it...rob a bank, sell your hamster, whatever it takes. A great deal dropped on eBay regarding the Acer Chromebook....it was the last one so boom I went for it....now true it might turn out to be a lemon but our Tech Spurt here was waxing lyrical about this model lol
I purchase 6 last week on sale while on sale .. I keep my google 3a xl because the trade was less than 30.. Google is offering 300 off 3a xl plus free ear buds on their website... Looks like I will be having 2 new phones with this deal...
Just went with the 6a coming from the Pixel 4. Mostly due to size as I have human sized hands, a bit bummed about the wireless charging but I'll be getting a case anyway so not a huge deal to get an adapter. Manufacturers if you're reading this, I'm willing to pay for flagship specs in a smaller size if you're willing to make them. (There are dozens of us)
You might want to take a look at the base model of Samsung's flagship - the Galaxy S22. It's a smaller size than even the Pixel 6a while having the same display size (6.1 inches).
@@davek5899 Great performance and camera but the battery life is embarrassingly short, at least the Exynos version. The S21 is still a better option. I'm hearing a lot of good things about the new Zenfone 9.

Dude Google needs to stop playing around and actually do the whole laptop and tablet thing. I purchased the Pixel slate in 2019 and it is by far the best laptop/ tablet I have ever owned. Still to this day I refuse to upgrade because the synergy Chrome OS has with Android. In my opinion is just like having an iPhone and a MacBook. My girlfriend was so jealous and fact she actually purchased a pixelbook go but she was really mad that Google discontinue the Pixel slate because she is absolutely in love with this tablet. When Google really wants to do something they can do a really good job. I just wish the internet would stop hating on them so much because the pixel slate was by far the best computer I've ever had and MKBHD basically lied to the entire internet!
If you're going to go for a Pixel, get the normal 6, it's not too much more expensive and it has a vastly better screen and of course better camera's. I own the standard 6 and love it despite the horrible fingerprint sensor. It's a really great phone. For future proofing it's the smart choice.
And most importantly, for me, a flat screen. Because curved is just so darn impractical when it comes to protect screens🥲 Made the jump from OnePlus 7 Pro to Pixel 6, best jump I ever made
I can afford the 6 pro but I prefer the size of the 6a and the overall features of the phone are still very good. I truly wanted the 6 but unfortunately it's still big and hefty for my liking.
Bought a Pixel 6 Pro 2 weeks ago (previous phone was S9+) and i have been very impressed with this Google phone, so bought this recently launched Pixel 6a for my missus to replace her iPhone 7 and we are both very happy with these products. This is her first ever android phone and she said that she will never go back to Apple again.
Is having slow charging speed not an issue to you? The only conern for me is charging and i really like compact size what do you say about charging? Like single charge can last us for a day?
I've owned the Pixel 6 for a few months now and have never had any problem with the fingerprint sensor. I especially love the convenience of having this sensor also on the lock screen. The only annoying problem I've encountered is that my phone calls my business partner even if I'm not touching the phone, sometimes even in the middle of the night! - I can't figure out why it does this, and it only seems to call his number! - I'm sure he thinks I do it on purpose 🤣🤣 All in all it's another great phone from Google.
I was reviewing this video in order to decide which Pixel 6 I would like to purchase. I have loyalty to anything with the “Google” brand name simply because of their specialities in cloud service and versatility. This guide was excellent! I think that your words about the Pixel 6 Pro regarding travelling in camera settings was also spot on, and I would like to upgrade to the 6 Pro in the future. As of right now, however, the standard Pixel 6 will do quite nicely! Keep it up! With Regards, ~Kyle
I would wait for the Pixel 7 release. The Pixel 6 Pro has a first gen Tensor chip, anything first gen has bugs (And it does have some bugs if you Google it you'll see the Pixel 6 series has some bugs). Second gen releases of anything are always a big upgrade.
I had the pixel pro for a month . And I sold it but I was in love . When I started watching videos the 6 battery is way better . I am an iPhone lover but that white pixel pro that I sold , was beautiful and did nice things . Stick with THE 6 A3 . I will buy the 6 even I have the 13 pro max .
I went for the standard 6 because it was roughly the same size or thereabouts as the Pixel 4XL. Haven't really had any problems with it apart from the fingerprint sensor, which I think is as much to do with the type of glass as it is the sensor.
My fingerprint sensor works pretty good on my Pixel 6. I just wish it had face unlock, but I knew it didn't have that feature before I bought it, so 🤷🏿♂️
Watched on my Pixel 6. Excellent video! I wish they had these prices in the states when I got my pixel. The 6a would have been tempting if it had come out when my 6 was available. It would work better as an option for my budget.
Glad to have come across your video. I’ve grown tired of my iPhone and eyeing to switch to Android. This is a deliberately insightful review. Thanks so much! PS. got scared a bit cuz it’s bed time here then that doll popped out lmao
We want a flagship phone that's 6 inches or smaller! I skipped the pixel 6 and the pro version because they are large and hefty compared to the pixel 5. So, the 6a is the one for me but it's a shame that it doesn't come with full features. I like the Sony Xperia 5 range but their cameras aren't as remarkable as the pixels unfortunately.
I really like the look of the 6a and it's smaller size. But everything else is such a done grade from the 6. Idk why they refuse to make a flagship that isn't bigger than 6in. The Xperia compact z2 was the last phone I had that was small and had flagship specs
I agree, and unfortunately the 60hz and 2 less ram in the easier to hold pixel 6a give the phone a less smooth performance over the pixel 6 despite what some reviews say, I've had and compared both myself. Google is ignoring the user base that Apple and Samsung don't by offering small flagships.
Mmm non expandable memory is a bit of an issue but 128gb is a decent amount. It's either the 6a or A52s or maybe A53. I'd be happy if the 5a was sold globally.
Hey Tech Spurt. Just wanna say I really appreciate your videos and like others have said I have subscribed even though I dont need a new phone (yet). I am a Huawei P30 Pro user and I recently returned my Pixel 6 Pro back for 3 main absolute deal breaker reasons. 1 - Battery life was so disappointing. Getting into bed every night with less than 15% moderate to light use. 2 - The "fast charge" was so slow. Took nearly 2 hours from 10%. This changed the way i thought about charging and made me want to top it up all the time. 3.- The phone heating up was so so unsettling and frankly was really uncomfortable. So disappointing. I honnestly jumped in head first for the full Google experience too. I just WISH Hauwei would have Google back on their devices, absolutely excellent phones
Heck yeah! Perfect video, released just as I was curious about the differences between these phones. This is the most in depth video on all three pixel 6's I have seen.
I got the Pixel 6 last year and absolutely love it still to this day but I would go with the 6a, if I'm buying it now. I would have gotten the 6 a if it were an option at the time.
If you're not bothered by 60hz (that's what my current phone has) is the 6a really worth it? It's the only thing other than the overheating that I see people complaining about. I'm not looking to spend 1K on a phone, the 6a is the only one standing out for me. Any recommendations on other phones would be greatly appreciated

So if I am running really intensive apps for my business, Company Cam for instance, is the Pro worth it. That app particularly seems to crash a lot on my Pixel 5. It is slow enough now that it is effecting my sales calls, which is obviously bad. Thanks in advance for any answers!
Basically the pixel 6a is for people who like a smaller phone. The most important things are in place it's water resistant great cameras and they are using the same processor. If you like smaller phones get the 6a, if you like bigger phones get the 6 or 6 pro. Great video.

How it feels to hold and if it leaves fingerprints on the back. 😊 I've never met a single person who doesn't have their phone in a case and doesn't give a damn about that stuff. You can't even tell what colour your phone is.
Looking to upgrade from a Huawei P30 Pro new edition and quite fancied the pixel range. Would it be worth going for the 6 or holding on for the 7 later in the year?
I don't see why the heck anyone needs wireless charging? Used it once and never thought of using again. Its just a feature that adds the phone to the category of premium smartphones and helps some guys to boast about it.
I wanted a smaller phone with decent SoC, camera and no bloatware - and longer than couple years of updates - So I picked Pixel 6a. Other options I had was a) Zenfone 9 but it was too expensive, only couple years of updates and b) Sony 10 VI (weak SoC and camera). Not many options if you want a phone with around 6¨ display,
Hey Tech Spurt, I have a samsung A52S 5G and i want to upgrade but nothing seems worth it, any suggestions? It would be cool if you could make some videos for each phone out at the moment what we should upgrade to, thanks
I'm a huge Google fan my Google 3 xl was great I now have a pixel 6 and it's super good battery lasts all day Camara is amazing it's just all around great phone only bad thing is no face unlock 🔓
The new lens on the Pro and regular 6 is so much better if you want your pictures to have natural bokeh and also cleaner photos with punchier colours and less out of focus things if they are moving
Very nice review! I like the pure Android experience a lot. It also looks elegant and premium. The camera are an enjoyment to have always with you. Only loading takes a lot time but the battery endurance is good enough. No need to get the Ultras of these days. This phone is perfect for every day use and has all I need in a phone!
When I found the 6a for $299 I pulled the trigger (can you still even say that?) and now have replaced my 3a. No regrets so far it's a great device for the money.
I'm using pixel 4a. I'm planning to update with pixel 6 or 6a. It's a perfect phone for photography as well as most elegant in this price segment. The only issue i have to face is that it overheats while having video calls. I just wanna know if any user who recently updated from 4 series to 6, is this problem is still there or not?
Attending many sporting events, I find the zoom on my pixel 2xl less than impressive... That's the main reason I'm drawn to the Pro... But I think the 6 is a better match, overall for my needs... Can't decide. Guess I'll wait until the 7 comes out and decide then.
@@gamerrage3558 short answer, I have! Still using the 2XL. Long answer... I just don't see the value in spending money on a new phone when this one still works just fine. Now I'll wait to see if the 8/8 Pro are a significant upgrade, and how this phone is doing at that point. Really the only thing I can see changing with getting a new phone is a better zoom camera and the ability to deposit checks once or twice a year through my credit union's app, which I currently don't do because of no security updates. But it does literally everything else I need it to do, so, I'll save my money. What are you considering?
Hi, I like your channel, I've been watching it for around half an year while looking for the phone to buy. I've bought oneplus nord 2 and I'd really like to see comparison between this and pixel 6a. I've bought nord 2 for over 2x cheaper on amazon day and I wonder if that was a better purchase.
I've had the pro for a while. If you have butter fingers, it's good. I drop it all the time. No issues. The camera isn't really worth the extra cost. All of them use the same software and do the same tricks. The telephoto doesn't really add much. My daughter's cheap Samsung takes better nighttime sky photos. Seriously. Just buy the cheaper ones.
I've had my pixel 6 for about a week now with a thick screen protector on it and not had 1 issue yet with the fingerprint reader. Maybe it's an individual thing with types of fingerprint or how well you cover your entire print when doing the setup scans.
im really torn with what to do at the mo. Ive a P30 pro thats in need of replacing. Do i wait for the pixel 7, bite the bullet and get a s22 ultra or even go back to iphone (shudder) so i dont think ill be doing the last one................ but what is the best? is there something else thats cheaper and better than the pixel and the ultra?
This man first shows the pixel 6a with a Ruuka wallpaper then proceeds to show all three phones with Eris as wallpaper 😏 guess you sir have earned a sub 😎
You can understand this guy is giving an Honest Review because he practically said Pixel 6A is the best buy. If this was a paid review like CNET they would have recommended the most expensive one.
I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for the pixel 7 and 7 pro being good. The screen puts me off of the 6a, and the charging speeds of the entire family really isn't great. After my OnePlus 7 Pro being destroyed by software updates, I really just want a fast charging phone (65w or more), that has decent performance (Snapdragon 870 territory or better) and software that doesn't glitch. Seems like a fairly small ask on paper, but it seems like you have to spend €1000 to get that now.
Is it worth it to upgrade to Pixel 6 or 6a from Pixel 2? Camera hardware looks the same on 2 than on 6a and 2 is still quick enough, small enough for the pocket and battery is still ok. 6a is only 350€ but I can't see you get that much more...
Hey Uncle Spurt's can you do a video off you using the Google Pixel 4a vs the Google Pixel 5a vs the Google Pixel 6a camera and the speed test? Cheers love you.
They selling it now for real value !! Sadly for countries where they aren't that well established in manufacturing like India.. they are selling the bloody 6a for aprrox 500 pounds or 560 us dollars !!

How to identify the mobile charging with fast charging with the charger adaptor... please help me bro and suggest me the perfect adaptor for my Pixel 6a
With the trade in values they're giving rn($300 for OnePlus 8) and the free Pixel Buds, the 6a was the best deal for me. The camera is still gonna be an upgrade from my OP 8 and I already didn't have wireless charging so I won't miss that. I also usually keep my phone at 60Hz to save battery anyways.
@@RandomUser-tj3mg On paper maybe but not so much in actuality from my experience. One Plus is super slow compared to Google when it comes to software and security updates and the updates often introduce new issues instead of fixing the already existing ones. The camera, especially the front camera, produces worse photos than an old iPhone 7+ I just have laying around. I had a Pixel 4XL before the OP 8 and I honestly preferred it
My A52s never gets hot. A phone that gets hot even just through browsing will wreck its battery even quicker, which makes me question this phone's longevity.

Where do you get all your nice wallpaper pics for your phones?
Could you please tell us where you get your wallpapers?

Looking to upgrade from a Huawei P30 Pro new edition and quite fancied the pixel range. Would it be worth going for the 6 or holding on for the 7 later in the year?
Hilarious reviews! And very informative too. Cheers!
"captain bigcock" such a way with words I love it 😂😂😂
I don't see why the heck anyone needs wireless charging?
Used it once and never thought of using again.
Its just a feature that adds the phone to the category of premium smartphones and helps some guys to boast about it.
Nice!
Could you tell me where you get your anime wallpapers from??
Yup, wall.alphacoders.com ;)

@@TechSpurt thanks :)
Funny lad, and good review. Deserves the subscription
Pixel 6a or 6 better than a52s 👍
I'm a huge Google fan my Google 3 xl was great I now have a pixel 6 and it's super good battery lasts all day Camara is amazing it's just all around great phone only bad thing is no face unlock 🔓
The new lens on the Pro and regular 6 is so much better if you want your pictures to have natural bokeh and also cleaner photos with punchier colours and less out of focus things if they are moving
Waiting for the next Google 6a video before buying! But all the vids have been super helpful! Thanks!
Nice review @techspurt !! May i know what wallpapers you use?
Great review as always !
Thank you very much , who is the girl in the background picture ?
Lol love the Boris Johnson joke....great review as always Chris
I got my new Pixel 6a for $369 USD ... plus a free set of Google earbuds. Can't beat that.
Can you let me know where you got ur anime wallpapers? They are absolutely amazing
You know what the anime screen savers sold me I've subscribed
Hi, I like your channel, I've been watching it for around half an year while looking for the phone to buy. I've bought oneplus nord 2 and I'd really like to see comparison between this and pixel 6a. I've bought nord 2 for over 2x cheaper on amazon day and I wonder if that was a better purchase.
$670 for the Pixel 6a. Bought an Open Box 6 Pro for $700. Feeling good. Like I should. 😎
6a dosent cost 670$
Thank you for your reviews. Now I've really decided, which one to get:)
Also, I wish you to get your first million subscribers as soon as possible)
What did you get?
Where do you get your wallpapers?
They are really pretty.

im really torn with what to do at the mo.
Pixel 7
You have become my favorite reviewer.
I've currently got the huawei p30 pro, still like new. Would the regular pixel 6 feel like an upgrade?
This man first shows the pixel 6a with a Ruuka wallpaper then proceeds to show all three phones with Eris as wallpaper 😏 guess you sir have earned a sub 😎
You can understand this guy is giving an Honest Review because he practically said Pixel 6A is the best buy. If this was a paid review like CNET they would have recommended the most expensive one.
Could you do a comparison and speedtest on Nothing Phone 1 and Pixel 6A?
On the camera visor, is the visor glass or plastic on the 6 and 6 pro?
Doesn't feel like plastic 👍
I thought of booking it as it opened for pre book in India today. But, before I could finish watching all the review videos it's already sold out.
Great video as always! Subscribed as I really enjoy watching your videos. Me and my "F**ing wrinkles"! 😆😆😆😆
2 hours to charge the pixel 6a is the biggest let down😰
I own a realme x2 pro that only takes 20-25 minutes for a full charge
Hi friend, what wallpaper app do you use? Where can I download these manga themes?
Great comparisons thanks. So many rude innuendos! 😅
How would you rate this new 6a next to the Galaxy A53 which is priced at £338?
Google pixel 6a mieux
I'm upgrading from the 4a to the 6a because of the $300 trade in which is absolutely unheard of!
Exactly. Just upgraded my son's 3a to 6a and still got 300 trade in for 3a
I've got the pro n I wouldn't change it for anything else, love everything about it, the size, screen etc..
Cool, I struggle with bigger phones but the screen was stunning, and that telephoto lens did come in handy
I love the wallpapers ! Hahaha 🤣 just because of that you sir are getting subscribed too haha
Jumping from Samsung S9 to Pixel 6 here in India (no warranty for me ofc sadly). Hope it is worth the risk !
Hey Uncle Spurt's can you do a video off you using the Google Pixel 4a vs the Google Pixel 5a vs the Google Pixel 6a camera and the speed test? Cheers love you.
I just love anime wallpapers every time the phone review comes
great review
7:30 damn it man you are hilarious 😂
I just got the 6a for £299 minus a £88 trade in on my pixel 3. I was going to go for the 6 but after watching this I think I made a good choice ?
My Cats burst the paddling pool every summer and drink out of it also!!!
They selling it now for real value !!
Sadly for countries where they aren't that well established in manufacturing like India.. they are selling the bloody 6a for aprrox 500 pounds or 560 us dollars !!
From where u download your wallpaper ?
Would it have been such a problem to atleast put 90hz in 6a?
Hi bro iam very confused, what type of pd charger adaptor was suits to my pixel 6a mobile...does 20w Anker pd adaptor suits to my pixel 6a ?? It supports 18w fast charging??? How to identify the mobile charging with fast charging with the charger adaptor... please help me bro and suggest me the perfect adaptor for my Pixel 6a
As always, great wallpaper
Are bezels of the pixel 6 and 6a not the same?
where to buy the phone clamps you have on the desk to hold the phone?
Just wondering if you're gonna review the oppo reno 8 pro
Why don't u included pixel 6 images in comparison?
With the trade in values they're giving rn($300 for OnePlus 8) and the free Pixel Buds, the 6a was the best deal for me. The camera is still gonna be an upgrade from my OP 8 and I already didn't have wireless charging so I won't miss that. I also usually keep my phone at 60Hz to save battery anyways.
Exactly. They are giving me more for my pixel 4 than I paid for it years ago. The buds are just icing on the cake.
Well OnePlus 8 is better in many areas
@@RandomUser-tj3mg On paper maybe but not so much in actuality from my experience. One Plus is super slow compared to Google when it comes to software and security updates and the updates often introduce new issues instead of fixing the already existing ones. The camera, especially the front camera, produces worse photos than an old iPhone 7+ I just have laying around. I had a Pixel 4XL before the OP 8 and I honestly preferred it
@@RandomUser-tj3mg I run caylxos which isn't available for the oneplus
Thanks for a great review . As much as i wanted to love the 6a i can`t , too many sacrifices so sticking with my Sammy A52s .
My A52s never gets hot. A phone that gets hot even just through browsing will wreck its battery even quicker, which makes me question this phone's longevity.
Damn, the telephoto of the Pro looked pretty good. I wish there where more compact phones with those 3 cameras and great performance.
S22 or s22 plus
