Hi there! Thank you so much for making this awesome review video of the Caroma P7 Escooter!
We saw you got hurt while riding, the fall looked really painful, but thanks to god, it didn't hurt the bones. We sincerely hope you feel better now! ❤❤The 14-inch tires of Caroma P7 are still too struggling with bad roads, like mud roads, gravels, etc.
Our Caroma P3 which has bigger tires--20'' tires, can have a better riding performance on some off-roads. But for other Caroma P-series scooters, Cement and asphalt roads are the best choices!
We appreciate your advice about the seat at the end of the video, we will send this feedback to our product department and see if we can upgrade it to be more comfortable in the near future!

Because of the wheel size and the straight up and down configuration I’m not sure it would respond to it at all. I went down so fast I couldn’t have done anything to keep it from happening. There’s something to be said for the extra size that comes with a bike or motorcycle.

@@dadbudgetadventures I'm considering this, I'm in recovery from a destroyed left leg from an accident on my K8, it's an electric hyper-scooter that went 57 miles an hour, the city "held" my scooter for me while I was in the hospital, then wanted to charge what it was worth by the time I located where they held it, so now I need to find another way into work now that I'm cleared by my doctor to work again and the closest bus stop is a mile away, so something like the one in this video is on my radar, although I'm leaning towards the Gyroor C1S because it has footpegs that would give me better leg extension for my rebuilt leg since it still has trouble bending, plus it has a basket on the deck for storage space when I go shopping, just wish I could find it's basket and pegs and put it on this one, but I can't find them available for sale anywhere, not even Gyroor's site

They are fairly common in Europe, here in Portugal you see them everywhere, even for tourism, but we have a different road system where cars are not "overlords", its implied roads are for people, and all the ways people move about, from on foot to on a car, so even if they are sometimes annoying, we know electric vehicles like these have a right to be in the road, but the legislation for it is still being adapted has we move along since the same legislation applied to bicycles is sometimes not appropriated to these type of vehicles. In urban areas they are very popular, because they are cheaper to "feed", there are charging points everywhere here for electrical vehicles and adapters to do it at home, and good for old towns with whining roads, hilly parts and controlled traffic. They are not very good in rural areas, with, gravel like you said, and irregular pavement, but they are still used in areas with more modern roadways.

    • @dadbudgetadventures
      @dadbudgetadventures  5 місяців тому +1

I wish they were more common and that we relied less on cars here. Most of our roads are designated for cars and many prohibit any other vehicles. We have rental scooters all around the downtown area but not in the suburbs so if you want to ride you gotta have your own.

That wasn’t a good time. But at least I know that I can take a fall and the scooter can too!

I am. It took a few weeks to get properly healed up but I got through mostly unscathed.

Yah I’m gonna have to prepare for that with the scooter. Who’d have thought it?

You put the brake on when you were on the gravel I could see you do it. And if you put that front brake on and you're in the gravel that's what made you go straight down. Don't ever ever use your front brake on gravel. You will go down so fast it'll make your head spin.

I was laying on the throttle and releasing the brake. Spun that back tire right out from under me.

Yep. Sometimes it’s hard to remember everything when I’m riding and stopping to set up cameras on a shoot.

Small tires, on bike no matter electric, gas, or pedal, limits ability on multi surfaces. Please don’t charge it indoors, when temp is below 32 F or above 100 F. Cheap “Chinese” lithium batteries are known to catch fire. Be safe.

Be careful with electric bikes and scooters BDA, don't store them in your house or in an attached garage. This poor guy took his ebike battery with him so it wouldn't get stolen, and it ended up catching fire in the elevator and killing the man. ua-cam.com/video/_V3-KUmJH7E/v-deo.htmlsi=R-UAE2t03jwT9BGU

I’ve heard of people having issues with the batteries. They make a fireproof bag specifically for storing and charging the batteries. Gonna need to try one out.

Only use rear brakes on a slippery surface or a gravel surface. If you put the front brakes on you will go down I'm sorry but that's just the way it is. Mopeds e-bikes regular bikes they're all the same scooters front brakes on slippery or gravel surfaces will face plant you and it is a hard fall. I can promise you you will never do it again

I wasn’t braking at the time this happened. I made the mistake of braking going into the gravel and giving it throttle to get back up to speed. The throttle is what killed my here 😬
