16:30 Detective Makazian's completely unhesitant suicide was really unsettling, that's one scene that always stuck with me. Especially when you recall that he was in a hurry to do it, he flashed his badge to get through traffic just to off himself faster. Very disturbing when you stop to think.
Yeah. It's like clearly he was depressed and probably thought about it. But that charge put him over the edge. Knew a guy like that . Completely fine until he got caught fucking a minor. Immediately hung himself. Idk why I decided to bring that up. Shits depressing and creepy 💀
I've watched the whole s Sopranos series a couple times from start to finish but revisiting the show with these dudes is a lot of fun, luv their banter and commentary, great job!
You're doing a great job and not missing anything in your discussions. You've already picked up on a lot of things that other Sopranos reactors haven't. Also, as you said, this was a good episode to see the relationships in Tony's crew, and where the respect lies and who is trusted with that.
Most reactors just don’t understand the seriousness of the captains meeting with each other behind Uncle Jr.s back. That’s the way alot of Mobb bosses get set up to be whacked and replaced with a new boss. That’s why it’s against most bosses rules to do that. Uncle Jr. had a right to be upset about that as someone that was supposed to be boss and a lot of bosses in real life have clipped people for less than that.
You know what, you're absolutely right. I think I get stuck on thinking of Tony as a Captain and the people he met with under him, I forget that they're all Captains as well. Good call out
@@FriendRequestReviews Yeah. For some reason I often forget that Tony was a Captain or “supposed to be captain” for the first season . Like when he kills the guy in the college episode I kept thinking that’s not realistic for a boss to be stalking and killing a snitch himself but I was forgetting technically Tony was still a captain then.
I love how most mobsters in the Sopranos are idiots. Even if they turn out not to be snitches, Jimmy and Pussy couldn't have acted more suspiciously if they tried. And then you have Paulie who tries to find out the truth in the most obvious way possible.
It's crazy to think all the capos being rats is a big reason Tony was even put in charge. If he lived during his dad's age he would have been just like his dad. Just another underling
“So your father tells me you’re taking up astronomy in college” “No, business” “Well how come he keeps saying you taking up space in school?” Me who studies astrophysics in school: 😂🤣 nice!
Felt really bad for the Detective, he really saw him and Tony as "Friends" or at least wanted to be, Tony was always strictly buisness and was unsympathetic towards him. Shame he had to off himself because he was actually looking out for Tony about the "rat" situation.
I think he offed himself because he knew after the internal investigation on him it was over for him as a cop. That was all he knew. Without that he was just an alcoholic bum with a.huge gambling debt to the mob.
We are iced in over here in Dallas and I am rewatching my guys. My heater is shit, Im freezing in my house, but at least I'm entertained. I love these two.
Livia is so evil but so fun to watch at the same time. All these manly tough guy mobsters, and this little old lady is the most ruthless and cunning of them all.
Great job editing on this episode. This episode specifically made me know I was going to binge watch the entire series every free moment I got until I caught up. At the time I seen this episode, it was between seasons 4 & 5. It took almost another 4 years until the finale. The waiting sucked, but was well worth it. P.S. You guys are so lucky you don't have to wait so long.
@@FriendRequestReviews I think you meant to text between this (the Sopranos) and "The Wire", right? So I think I know what you meant. Another really great show that IMO is on the level of Sopranos and the Wire is Ozark. Not sure if you have seen it, but it has GREAT ACTING and great writing. I personally think the first 3 seasons (along with BCS) are best TV since Breaking Bad. It is getting harder and harder to come up with original ideas for crime/drama TV shows. I was very surprised on how good Ozark was. P.S. Of course G.O.T.'s is a great TV show but that is more fantasy and fiction. IMO, it is a little harder to write great shows that need to be grounded in reality. If you haven't seen FARGO the TV series, that is definitely worth watching too.
The only thing I didn’t like and this episode was that silly pool table. Are they trying to tell me that they lifted up the top of the pool table and found a stash of guns on top of another felt covered pool table?
@@FriendRequestReviews Season one is just a test season to feel things out. You’re gonna see extreme realism and less silliness starting with season two and beyond, just wait and see!
for a crooked cop a debt of 30000 to a criminal this high in rank is not that big of a problem to pay off in favours. unless you fear that criminal is a rat. that episode with all those funny things about pussy my money on pussy.
That godfather horn is a work of art
I love it😂
if one day I'm wealthy enough, I'm getting that installed in one of my vehicles

facts, it was surprising to see him not even hesitate
Dude, man that is really disturbing. Never really thought about it before. I guess he was the one guy on this episode "who knew" something.

That roast of Mikey was uncalled for 😂
paulie is one of the funniest characters of tv and cinema
love Paulie, all the characters are great for real
My favourite episode of this season. I LOVE the suspense in this one. An hour feels like 5 minutes. Madonn'!
You guys rule just for throwing in the Wachtel "yep!"
“So your father tells me you’re taking up astronomy in college”
“No, business”
“Well how come he keeps saying you taking up space in school?”

Livia has been running things since Tony's dad was alive. She's the true gangster and nobody knows it.
facts
The reaction to "The Godfather theme? What???" had me rolling! LOL
I love that you guys are using the slang. "Stunade". "Agita". Love it
lol we love the slang, even if we butcher it, it's all love
@@FriendRequestReviews don't forget "Stugots" AKA "Deez Nuts"
Paulie the OG,he useta rock wit Tony pops!!!
So hyped for season finale. It's about to get real 🔥
They need to just commit to the sopranos until they’re finished with it. This shows too good to be watching alongside 4/5 others.
Felt really bad for the Detective, he really saw him and Tony as "Friends" or at least wanted to be, Tony was always strictly buisness and was unsympathetic towards him. Shame he had to off himself because he was actually looking out for Tony about the "rat" situation.
Not really, the detective owed pussy $30,000 in gambling debts so of course he wanted pussy out of the picture. He never told Tony about Jimmy
