Was it always in his heart to give and God blessed him w/ such good looks and talent in advance, or did he create the charity because he was blessed with such good looks and talent?
Either way, he was a great talent and role model who therefore did a great service.
Paul Newman was a very decent human being. He was always like that. Isn't his wife gorgeous? They were crazy about one another. He never had affairs. He was honest to the point of bluntness. Very rare in Hollywood.
@@cattycorner8 UNfortunately, he did cheat on her but she stayed. We don't have to make people perfect in order to appreciate them- we can appreciate them even more for their humanity.
he created it becaue his son form his first marriage oded;and he felt guilty becasuehe had been a lousy father and not there for Scott when he was growing up.actors are egotists and narcissits, especially when they are young and fighting for roles
Amalia Zahav Life is for lessons. Oh, IMO.
Still one of the most gorgeous men who ever lived along with Robert Redford😊
P. G. He must be in his eighties ffs and good looks dont last forever but he is still gorgeous in my eyes.
@P. G. he has outlived Paul Newman, though.
I half agree. I was never a big fan of Redford as a performer. I likes him better as a director. Paul Newman-
great performer, gorgeous looks, yes.
I could watch him with the sound off.
I didn't realize his hair was frizzy like this. I just thought it was curly. No matter what, it's pretty hard to make such a pretty face such as his to ever look bad ! He was a stud, and from all accounts a pretty decent socially conscious human being as well. Not much to dislike with this man.
She's gorgeous and very authentic herself.
It must have been nice to have a wife who knew him and loved him when he was just a regular guy.
Two people clearly in love, Paul and Joanne. Paul is just so relaxed, the body language, the openness, the natural charm. A man of great looks, talent, and a great disposition towards life. I have no idea as to whether Dick and Paul were friends in life, but they had a great rapport with each other.
Humility is a strength.
Dick Cavatt and Paul Numan interview was the very best ever. Xx
Paul and Joanne will always be my fave Hollywood couple of a time. I love their chemistry in Long Hot Summer in 1958. I assumed they met on the set of LHS, but they met each other years before.
Cool Hand Luke! What else can you say!
Sometimes, nothing's a cool hand.
Failure to communicate?
'Luke, fall out'.
Baby Driver what we have here is a failure to communicate! One of greatest lines in cinema! I used it raising my kids! Lolol
@@robinholbrook6576 Hilarious and great line ! Also "Cool Hand Luke" was a great movie ! I still binge watch it. Besides a great performance by Newman and his great looks, Luke stood for me as a great symbol of rebellion against harsh, abusive authority and the struggle to be who you are, rather than follow the crowd or be silenced by oppression.
Such a beautiful & talented couple,
THOSE EYES!
Two of my favorites of his are "The Hustler" and "The Verdict"...Classics!
My fav actor of all time a beautiful man and a beautiful person 👍👍👍😎😎
Two of his best performances. I think his performance in "The Verdict" was his finest.
Nope, I prefer Cool Hand Luke...a classic.
@@PatriciaMoreno-ff8pr - It's the fella's personal preference.
Sometimes nothing is a pretty cool hand. Who are those guys? Newman was all class!!
I talked with a guy once that sat next to Paul
Newman and his wife on a flight to the Bahamas. He said Newman was the nicest classiest person he’d ever met!
At the end of the Joanne clip Paul Newmans expression was so adorable 😭. He's so adorable. They're so adorable. Rip paul.
Wasn't sure if Joanne had passed so I looked her up. She'll be 93 next month!
Redword said of the couple Newman/ Woodward : I just returned from a dinner at the Newmans. I feel horribly depressed by their mutual love.
Hello, Newman 😉
For me, Paul Newman is the most handsome man of all time. Then to be as talented, humble, incredibly generous and totally in love with his wife. Basically, he was pretty close to perfect. A beloved legend, missed very much. ✨👼🏼✨💫✨💛
Never met them but seem like three wonderful human beings.
Gosh, he was gorgeous...
I had a boyfriend who looked a lot like Paul Newman, except his eyes were green, not blue. He was more in love with himself than he was with me. 🤷🏻♀️
Nenethegreat W , same here.. I never knew until now that Paul Newman was from my home town
Got the looks and no personality....sorry about that
That man is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, and he wasn't a Satanist or pervert, either. See, they do exist!
@Wendy S You'll like this: I have five daughters, and they used to watch a bunch of old movies that my mom videotaped. One of their favorites was Long, Hot Summer. Anyway, there's a scene when Ben Quick moves into the big house with the Varner family, and he's bantering with Clara. He has no shirt on, and he's got a pillow slung over his shoulder. My third daughter, the innocent one, was about 14 then, and she exclaims: "Oh, I wish I were that pillow!"
@aimee curry The Hole in the Wall Gang was after the character he played, Butch Cassidy. Your remark is very anti-Semitic and you have a dirty mind. Not everybody deserves to be thought a sicko.
@Mary Newman worked there but Never Had a home there{farm in conn.}! He knew it was Evil
Soo Did James Cagney lived on a NY upstate farm
I have always loved Paul Newman and respect that there was never any bad gossip surrounding him.
Back when wearing a Scarf was cool instead of a tie...
2 of the kindest people I ever had the pleasure of meeting. ❤
50 years ago. That was just yesterday.
Time is relative. 50 years ago was just yesterday and also quite a while ago.
@@kim71749 More like a century ago...
@@jsteiner8548 1970 was a very long time ago. A century ago...
@@blinkzone1 Yes, indeed. And it was a millenium ago as well. And 10 minutes ago.
@@jsteiner8548 It's going to be hilarious that 50 or 100 years from now humans will be laughing at us who use to use UA-cam. They will say "Didn't UA-cam existed online like 2000 years ago?" Lol
Paul Newman, Robert Redford; both GORGEOUS men.
Pitt and DiCaprio blow them away
He had so many great movies, one of my favorites to watch at least twice a year is "Hombre"
Excellent film. Richard Boone was great in it, too.
Another classic is, Hud. Newman had many iconic roles. Slapshot was underrated. And he should've got the damn oscar for, The Verdict!
@@waynej2608 He's been in so many great movies. Richard Boone played the ultimate bad guy perfectly.
I can get never get enough of Paul Newman really loved him in the series Harper I think there were three movies if anyone hasn't seen it check them out they're really good! Watch them in sequence it's better that way
Only two. Harper, 1966 and the sequel, The Drowning Pool, 1975. Harper was the better one, but both were good. Imho.
I'm supposed to be writing a paper on Newman's Own factory operations, but instead I am enjoying his naturally fun humor!
Dick Cavett was such a great chat show host...he was wonderful...
Loved him in Cat on a a Hot Tin Roof and butch cassidy and the Sundance kid.
Serenity113 Maggie and Brick and MENDACITY!
Long Hot Summer was my favorite... that's where he met his wife.
The View from the Terrace.
THE HUSTLER
Those eyes❤️
I love these old Cavett interviews as I’m not from the USA , what a treasure!
My uncle is identical double of newman, has the personality and sense of humour, legendary actor sadly missed
They were great couple and great human beings
Paul Newman was so handsome! I heard Cindy Crawford made a comment about Paul Newman. I guess she was gushing about Mr. Newman and Richard Gere said something about what's the big deal about him. ????? Really Richard?!?! Cindy said she loved his blue eyes.
