This cult is becoming more deceptive everyday. I remember when my daughter died at 4 months of age. My brother phoned me up and stated, its ok mate we will look after her in the new system.
You can break it down line by line. 9:52 *"And that's why I chose a red panda for my mascot in this channel-"* A mascot can simply be a mascot when its representing a sports team or a UA-cam channel, but when you're puppeteering this anthropomorphic animal mascot to convey YOUR personal emotions and expressions as you speak, it seems an awful lot like a fursona or furry avatar. *"NO. It's not because I'm a furry. I'm not a furry, I promise."* Denial. And redundant assertions for emphasis. *"It's because I'm making for this idea... of... having your own pet panda... in paradise."* Deflection. And nervous pauses. *"And I thought a red panda would be very fitting because it's... ya know it's... eh, I like them."* Red panda are not biologically similar to pandas. It begins to become apparent that he chose a red panda because HE likes them, nothing to do with JW. *"I like red pandas, they're really cute"* 🤷♂ The bashful shrug says it all. You think they're a cute and endearing creature, and you are embodying their cuteness by shaping your avatar in their likeness. Furry.
What kind of a world do we live if you're treated like garbage for liking or relating to funny animals? The great thing about about funny animals is that although they act human they technically are not, and humans suck.
"I want to have a butterfly garden!" Have you BEEN TO ONE SOPHIA!? Those butterflies in particular are cocky bastards who DIVEBOMB THE SHIT OUT OF YOU because they know you cant do jack shiz about it. Those things are the reason why bikini bottom is terrified of butterflies
AND yes, i was a friend of that man, and had SEEN his creation, so did my other friends who documented the whole thing as a real life Creepypasta, meaning it’s an accurate description of the actual events that had happened there, wrapped up into a nice, cool little cautionary tale.
All the denominations do the same cherry picking from the Bible, barely any of them actually follow the Bible and most people in any of them have no idea what's actually in that fucking book. They're all cults.
@@cathare4909 No! Christianity. is 1800 years older than the Jehova Witness cult. The birth, death and resurrection of Jesus is one of the most historically documented events in human history. In fact we have more references to Jesus in historical texts than we do of the Roman Emperor of his time. It all happened, and people experience salvation through Jesus to this day.
Also wanted to point out that in the cult I grew up in, we weren’t allowed to be sad at funerals. We were expected to be happy because the church member was supposedly in heaven. Being sad at a funeral was a sign of spiritual weakness. My cousins said that at my grandmother’s funeral, which I couldn’t attend, that the pastor kept talking about what a wretched sinner my grandma was, and it was only by the grace of god that she was saved. Talk about behavioral and emotional control and brainwashing. Anyway, I understand what ex-JW’s are going through in that respect.
The worst part is, that literally contradicts the Bible. Even though it could be LIKELy that one goes to heaven, we can't be sure how GOD will judge. But my DAYS is that cruel.
I was friends with a JW. She didn’t see anything wrong with it, our friends did. She wasn’t allowed to come over to someone’s house if they weren’t a JW. She wasn’t allowed to go to university. Wasn’t allowed any holidays (they did something called family day where they gave each other presents) Wasn’t allowed to wear certain clothes. I live in New Zealand and at school we learn Māori (the native people before the English came) she wasn’t allowed to speak it or do the traditional dances. She wasn’t allowed to date someone who wasn’t a JW. It was hell
Damn that sounds like hell, especially since a ton of school events are centered around celebrating Māori culture. Did she even get to attend the events? I can't imagine not even being able to attend a powhiri or anything because of a religion.
My friend is a JW too. But she doesn’t live like one. She may end up leaving the congregation. She doesn’t celebrate any holidays and only celebrates her birthday bc she hasn’t been baptized. She also dates someone who’s not a JW and slept with him. She wears things that JW’s wouldn’t. Her beliefs align closer to black southern Baptist rather than JW. But she still believes in all their ideals/doctrines. But more on the reason I think she’s going to leave soon is the fact she doesn’t go to church for JW, doesn’t pray the way they do, and likes southern baptists more.
@@RobinA09 yea, she wasn’t allowed to do a Karakia, which you do every morning at school. And when we had a Māori teacher come in she had to wear headphones and go under the teachers desk so she couldn’t see what was happening
Ok so according to JWs, animals weren't originally supposed to be violent towards each other. Then my question is, why did God give certain animals teeth that are really good at chewing meat? Why did God give animals survival and defense instincts?
now that is something a normal thinking person would observe. also i love how when they say "all the animals were made for us" and then you would ask about mosquitos, ticks, and other pests, and they would just wave it off as "those were because of our sin" oh so i guess all the animals were made for us except for the ones that we dont like (for good reason)
@@Shattered3582 Mosquitos & ticks literally survive off of humans (not exclusively, but they DO live off of humans) so in a way they are also « made for us » .
When I was a kid, I was terrified of the idea of the Paradise, to the point that I would be scared that I would go to bed one day and wake up to Paradise the next. I knew that living forever was unnatural and the thought of it filled me with dread. My parents couldn't understand why it scared me so much. As an adult, the Paradise sounds absolutely boring. Eating a vegan diet, the only people around are JWs, and the only leisure activity seems to be worshipping Jehovah. Please, no, thank you.
Catholic school afraid of purgatory and hell. JWs afraid of instant destruction. Paradise depressed me when I saw illustrations of all the grinning men with lumber on their shoulders on their ways to build KHs because I wondered where did they get the lumber, the tools, the tree wood, etc if everything was destroyed? I got depressed by all the women with grins and dresses wearing baskets on their heads filled with fruit and vegs, wondering where did they get the fruit if the trees were destroyed first, it takes years and years to grow a tree and how did they get seeds for vegs if everything went “phooom!” In Armageddon, why are they smiling and watching their babies running after lions, don’t the lions still have teeth or powerful jaws and claws? I got very depressed. I hated it. I wanted to be “anointed” and go to Heaven, but I didn’t want to be like the Governing Body who would be there. The whole thing just stunk of lack of common sense.
As a kid who grew up christian, i hated the rapture because it meant that several people i liked such as an atheist youtuber i followed would burn in hell, which didn't seem right to me since their only 'problems' were not believing in god
honestly. im athiest with a christian family, and its not like we'll die if we're in the presence of someone that has a religion differing from ours. and, didnt jesus say something about how you should treat everyone equally, regardless of religion??
Most annoying thing I remember arguing with my JW parents about during my teen years coming out of 'the truth' was, they didn't believe pollution mattered at all because Jehovah'll magically fucking clean it all for them when the paradise comes, just vanish it all away, no consequences for how we treat the environment.
That's asinine. Especially since in the Bible at the VERY BEGINNING, God says we must be stewards of the earth. Essentially, he put us in charge, but we had to make sure we took care of it. Just...ugh.
My stepdad is similar. I remember one time I was expressing some anxiety around the climate crisis, and he said something to the effect of, "Everyone seems surprised when this was foretold". How do you even respond to something like that? 🫤
As someone who grew up in a more mainstream version of Christianity, the other denominations believe the same. There's no such thing as climate change and even if there is it doesn't matter. Because the rapture will happen any second now so god will fix everything m
Well, maybe if we encourage young people to go to college and study things like biology and medicine, we can cure paralyzed girls sooner than waiting for Jesus to return.
Just a heads up, not everyone in a wheelchair is paralyzed; I'm a wheelchair user and I am not paralyzed, I use a wheelchair because of a joint and muscle instability causing condition. It really irks me that they keep using old people who are disabled, or young children with disabilities, to drive their point. I personally believe that a lot of children and adults with disabilities can still live great and happy lives, and it always bothers me when people use us as a way to convince people to 'get saved' etc. I grew up Baptist and my mother always wished the rapture would come but i didn't want it to, because i wanted to grow up and make my life successful and happy. My church in particular sees disabilities as a sign that you or your family sinned and God is punishing them until you get to heaven where you will be forgiven and healed etc. It is all so stupid and really hurtful to disabled people. Yes, being disabled is painful and hard, but you can still be happy and enjoy life, it isn't sentencing you to a life of misery necessarily lol. But yeah, my family wants the rapture to come so that the whole family (who have genetic issues) can be healed from their medical conditions. I'm glad i became non-denominational, they are a lot less judgmental and the church I'm at now doesn't believe the bible says anything about being gay, so we actually have many gay members which is wonderful! My Baptist church believed in door knocking, so i was out with my parents in a stroller until i could walk(when i used to be able to walk), knocking on doors in a pretty unsafe city in the USA. When i turned 10, I was allowed to knock on doors alone. They also believed in baptizing kids as soon as they could remember that jesus died on a cross. That was sometimes two or three-year-olds, sadly. I was baptized around 7 years old, I was too scared of the water beforehand and i was 'old' to be baptized. They also believed in women only being allowed to wear skirts or dresses, and any music with electric guitar or drums was satanic. I had to babysit kids during service from the time i turned 10, but i actually preferred the weeks i babysat in the nursery because it meant i didn't have to sit through sermon and be judged for the way i looked. I am so thankful I am out of that environment- I got diagnosed with OCD a while afterwards because I had been so anxious about every thought i had or action i did, and i would do all these things every time i sinned to get forgiveness and spare my family from being killed (i thought they would be killed by God), including random movements i incorporated that weren't part of the religion, but that I felt i had to do because a voice inside told me to. Lol this is why it's dangerous to tell children the voice inside is God. I still struggle with my OCD to this day and it is truly a painful thing to heal from. I wish more people saw how culty Baptist Churches are, most people seem to see them as a more normal religion... I also hate when people with disabilities get used as inspiration p *** rn because it makes it seem like our only purpose is to make others feel good about themselves for helping us etc. and this also gives me those vibes, because they get to feel good that one day, that child will be in 'paradise' and healed, when instead, they should focus on seeing them as a full human and making accessibility in the now better so that they can have a good life NOW, and maybe let their kids go to college so they can become doctors to help the disabled people. I also find it funny that they discourage college- if everyone became JW, who would become a doctor to help sick or injured people?! It's all so hilarious to me. Also, what disabled child would draw themselves as healed regularly? It seems so unhealthy, one of the best things you can do for lifelong disabilities is to accept it as part of you, and that includes portraying yourself with your disability (I've been to a lot of therapy for this specifically, can you tell haha, any drawings or paintings of myself now include my wheelchair), and it makes me sad that the girl is being told to look forward to paradise because she will be able to walk. Is walking really so grand, that it is a selling point for a child to let their future and opportunities be stripped from them?! I really don't feel like it would be convincing, at least to me. Then again, it doesn't sound like they tell the child everything they are signing up for, do they?
Thank you for this interesting read! I'm not a wheelchair user, but I wasn't a fan of the girl staring at pictures of herself walking in one of the videos. She should be taught to accept herself.
It’s interesting that they say you can interact with wild animals safely because they also say that your actual pets that you love and miss won’t be going there
Oh yeah the whole "soulless and emotionless" schtick. I always thought that was complete bullshit, like as if humans aren't animals. Exactly why would God giving animals souls go against the Bible? Hm? Whom _paid_ for the mercy? Hm?
@@Idiotic_B_Purcell All creatures have a soul, a soul that makes living organisms out of a conglomeration of cells, but only man, as the crowning glory of all creation, has an immortal soul, and only man can distinguish between good and evil, which is why only men go to heaven, and animals, plants, etc., cannot go there. That's Catholic teaching btw

I lost my cousin to this cult. The elders told her that her abuse was okay and her parents agreed. Her husband shot her in front of their kid and his parents, then shot himself. I was helping her escape.
And this is the part where someone needs to take a lesson from North Korea and put that husband against the wall that’s bloody terrible and I’m so sorry you had to go through that
If I was in the Paradise, would I lose my autism? That's a terrifying thought, having my brain and, by extension, my personality changed so drastically.
I was diagnosed with autism at a very young age like i dont even remember the diagnosis i dont even know what part of me is because of autism image all of that going away that actually sounds scary how much of me whould change
As a mormon, I was taught that people who never heard the gospel before they died would have the opportunity to be taught. And we were baptized as proxies for them. So it’s a bit different, but this video did resonate with me as a result. Cults gonna cult.

Same with 9/11 the watch tower used it to capture more people to try getting more generation to become jw because there parents taught them about it which is just bad every where because watch tower basically just makes sales man about a event that won’t happen

I was never a JSW but I knew this guy in my school who was a JSW and he wasn’t really allowed friends, I couldn’t give him a holiday card and for the school blood drive he couldn’t give blood, I asked him why and he said because it was against his religion. But isn’t the point of religion to help people? What shocked me the most was that his parents let him drink wine but not give blood or be friends with people. Can someone explain this paradox?
@@its3amandilostmypassword The blood issue is related to a verse in scripture in Leviticus, I believe, that tells the Israelites not to eat meat with the blood still present because in the blood is the life of the animal. So to JWs blood = life so you can't give or receive blood. It doesn't exactly make sense, but the cult isn't about making sense.
So glad to be 'awake' to this and out. I was so depressed when I was in. We had a butterfly garden, and although Lepidoptera is a hobby, I didn’t have to become an entomologist you just plant host plants for butterflies that live in your general geographic location they will find the plants. We had over a dozen different butterflies and we had a very small yard to work with, but it was glorious because you walked down the street and then we passed our house. It was just swarming with butterflies.
There is one in Montreal, we have monarch which migrate from the south once a year (I think). I've been there a couple of times with my daughters. It was nice and they liked it.
I literally remember adults saying “imagine living in paradise forever!” And I did and I was terrified at how boring and dull it would be to live in the sky and do the same thing over and over forever 💀
I was taught that in paradise, you are praising god with songs all the time and I was not looking Forward to that. I hated those dull church songs and smelling people's breath singing next to me 😂
Same. I know a lot of people enjoy the idea, but I don’t know. It sounds like it’d get boring. Eventually I think I would go insane. I could do with a little more time. I’d enjoy it if it went by “The Good Place” rules, where after a while if you decide you’re at peace and have done all you want to do, you can choose to depart. Eternity sounds like torture. I’m better with just making the most out of one life in a limited amount of time than having to live forever.

Just try to realize we are also spirit and read Scripture like what Paul says in 2nd Cor 12. I am not a JW or do I belong to any church (I panic now in churches since I got out of JWs) but really read Scripture and many other things on my own. I’ve found great relief and joy in what I know about now. Also worked in Hospice and have observed many beautiful experiences. My own mom had an NDE and I did once, and it’s truly beautiful. No words to describe the Spirit and Heaven. It’s ok. Truly. But I was really afraid being a Catholic and then a JW especially. I was always scared and depressed. Not any more. ❤
As far as the rest of our lives: wake up and smile, praise God briefly, do your routine, enjoy every moment, handle well the difficult moments, one day at a time, enjoy being you and sleep soundly. The most repeated phrase in Scripture is: “Fear not”! Stand still and know that He is God. Practice Joy. Practice the Presence of God. 🌹
It gets easier as you go along. I don't know how old you are, but going to college is a good way to find yourself. Take some random classes at a local community college. They're dirt cheap, and they give you lots of opportunities to meet people and learn about yourself and your interests. If you like science, STEM degrees can make you a lot of money (although you have to survive them first lol).
Dying is ok. I died on the operating table. It's like going to sleep. It's ok. That experience taught me that dying is fine. But, right now, I choose to live....
Real Christianity teaches that paradise is earth but with god and no sin so you will work not mess about in a butterfly garden and sing opera you will have a new body that will allow you to be better and you can meet your friends it’s not a summer camp it is simply the joy of his and work.
Honestly my idea of paradise includes enjoying some of the things I currently like that are legal and safe without the stress of life. This includes things like Video Games, watching UA-cam, talking to people online, making my favorite foods, things like that. As well as the chance to safely try to do things I really wanna do like go to other countries like Germany and Japan
Besides the very idea of an eternal heaven where you have to worship a god forever and ever does not sound like any kind of paradise to me, all of this can be immediately dismissed because JW's have not provided any evidence for this alleged paradise, and a claim with no evidence to support it can be dismissed with no evidence.
One theme I see especially through this collection is ableism. I would highly suggest looking it up, but as a disabled person I find these promises of 'healing' so insulting. Disabled bodies are bodies and brains that work differently and are not there as your pity fodder or insperation porn. I'm not going to go to deep into it, but just point out it's a good thing to see the inhumanity in using ableism like religions do. The idea of 'you'll be 'normal' just buy our product!' Utterly insuting.
Exactly, I agree with all you've said. The things they say to me as a blind person make me absolutely sick to my stomach. They literaly don't see us as fully functioning humans with our own thoughts, opinions and ways of life. That's seriously beyond screwed.
I’m autistic, & when I was still a JW I was always disgusted by people getting all excited about me somehow becoming neurotypical in “paradise”. Apparently it’s perfectly acceptable to insult who I am right to my face. What if I like my autism & don’t want to be neurotypical?
12:37 I was raised in a catholic family, watched Superbook and even attended church activities, but I didn't know that God made Jesus a ransom for some cult's so-called "paradise" 😭 I thought the purpose of his crucifixion was to expiates our sins. Sarcasm aside, having our sins to be taken away is not necessary means of accessing "paradise", it is only to believe that taking away sins is to save us from eternal damnation.

A comment about carnivorous animals turning to vegetarians in paradise (and also algorithm): There is a sweet comic strip from "Calvin and Hobbes" that focusses on the idea of humans and animals in the afterlife: Calvin (the 6-year old boy talking to his plushy tiger Hobbes): "Do you think tigers go to the same heaven that people go to? I mean, in heaven, everyone is supposed to be happy, right? But people wouldn't be happy if they were always in danger of being eaten by tigers! On the other hand, heaven wouldn't be very nice without tigers, either. I wouldn't be happy if there weren't any tigers. I'd miss them. Maybe tigers just don't eat people in heaven." Hobbes: "But then WE wouldn't be happy."

bro I’m an ex Catholic but this hit so hard. I went through a hard time during covid, and I started becoming more fervent in my faith because I thought that was the answer to peace. Lo and behold, I started becoming extreme, and I even went as far as trying to advertise/preach the gospel in my zoom classes and to my friends. Whenever I heard my peers get good grades or talk about their futures, in the back of my mind I thought that I shouldn’t try to do the same as them because they’re non-believers (which means they’re evil) and I shouldn’t do the same things they did. I thought I was extremely righteous for spending more time in prayer than caring about my “worldly” future. Basically, I left the church because I realized that my “love” for God wasn’t really there, and I was just scared that I was going to go to hell for my sinful life. And I feel bad for anyone who lost friends and time in this religion. No one should be eternally punished for their human mistakes let alone whether or not they believe in this religion.

It really doesn't make sense when you think about it. So, god has the power to make a perfect world where everyone is happy; no diseases, no death, no war, no food chain, etc. but instead, he decided that we should all be miserable and live our existence like it’s some kind of test/exam which is ultimately pointless because he predestined some of us to pass and most of us to fail. What kind of psycho would do that ? If god is real, he has the maturity of a 12 y.o playing the Sims and experimenting with humans’ pain and suffering.
The reason that wars and all the bad things that happen are the consequences of sin, the sin that happened beacuse Adam and Eve disobeyed God, so after that all the bad things that started happening where all our fault since we are descendants of them, and God simply let Adam and Eve live outside of the perfectly good garden they where supposed to live in. And yes, this life in this fallen and corrupted world is a test of our faith in God, that besides everything we persevered until the end. And its not really predestined beacuse God gave us free will, sure God is Omniscient and Omnipotent, he knows everything that happened and will happen, it’s our choice if we start to better ourselves and try to be a good person avoiding sin as much as possible for Him and for us, or if you conform into this world and stay just the way you are, you do have a choice. For example Judas, God and Jesus always knew Judas would betray him and end up killing him, but even though Jesus knew this, he didn’t treat Judas like a traitor and rubbing it in his face even before Judas thought of betraying him, Judas had a choice, and he made the wrong one, after betraying Jesus he killed himself, and at least in Christianity, suicide is one way ticket to hell, if you commit suicide there is no unmaking it and sadly be tormented forever in hell, beacuse it’s seen as throwing away Gods gift of life.
also I would like to compare God to an writer, when you create a world and characters you know everything about them and everything that they would do and everything that will happen to that world and people is at your decision and will. Sure in their perspective they are making or given a choice but in the eyes of an witter all is according to their desires at want kind of story they want to tell.

Well, maybe if we encourage young people to go to college and study things like biology and medicine, we can cure paralyzed girls sooner than waiting for Jesus to return.
You mean encourage her to not give up and heal
Some conditions have no cure by our current technology, so give up or not is not a matter.
Very true.
did he? I only remember the men being cured, Jesus raises Tabitha and he keeps Mary from being stoned, maybe Jesus only loved hot chicks?

Why do they believe old people become young in paradise? Is being old a sin?
And what age are people aged to exactly? Is there a magic age that is perfect to live in forever?

And if the rules “changed” or “updated”, wouldn’t that mean other things they weren’t allowed to do before would be allowed eventually? Like, would they be allowed to be gay one day because the rules were changed???

Now I have to plan an actual future and I fear death more than anything because the idea that I am not going to live forever terrifies me.
Dont worry once you die you wont care anymore
It gets easier as you go along. I don't know how old you are, but going to college is a good way to find yourself. Take some random classes at a local community college. They're dirt cheap, and they give you lots of opportunities to meet people and learn about yourself and your interests. If you like science, STEM degrees can make you a lot of money (although you have to survive them first lol).
Dying is ok. I died on the operating table. It's like going to sleep. It's ok. That experience taught me that dying is fine. But, right now, I choose to live....

Hello everyone WELCOME TO "RELIGION" THEORY
Real Christianity teaches that paradise is earth but with god and no sin so you will work not mess about in a butterfly garden and sing opera you will have a new body that will allow you to be better and you can meet your friends it’s not a summer camp it is simply the joy of his and work.

Honestly my idea of paradise includes enjoying some of the things I currently like that are legal and safe without the stress of life. This includes things like Video Games, watching UA-cam, talking to people online, making my favorite foods, things like that. As well as the chance to safely try to do things I really wanna do like go to other countries like Germany and Japan

"I like red pandas, they're really cute" You know, that's a very common thought process for picking your fursona...
If worshiping God forever is so great, why do they ever leave church as that's just what heaven is supposed to be like, right?
This is not really what heaven is that's a protestant modern idea of heaven but also for JWs no evidence is needed because it doesn't exist yet
This is something that Christian fundamentalism unfortunately fuels. The way they condescend to disabled people at every chance is so gross
Exactly, I agree with all you've said. The things they say to me as a blind person make me absolutely sick to my stomach. They literaly don't see us as fully functioning humans with our own thoughts, opinions and ways of life. That's seriously beyond screwed.

A comment about carnivorous animals turning to vegetarians in paradise (and also algorithm):
There is a sweet comic strip from "Calvin and Hobbes" that focusses on the idea of humans and animals in the afterlife:
Calvin (the 6-year old boy talking to his plushy tiger Hobbes): "Do you think tigers go to the same heaven that people go to? I mean, in heaven, everyone is supposed to be happy, right? But people wouldn't be happy if they were always in danger of being eaten by tigers! On the other hand, heaven wouldn't be very nice without tigers, either. I wouldn't be happy if there weren't any tigers. I'd miss them. Maybe tigers just don't eat people in heaven."
Hobbes: "But then WE wouldn't be happy."
You would be eaten by tigers and be happy about it, obviously. It's heaven, everything is possible, no reason to over complicate things.

So, JWs think that we stay dead, unless you are anointed, until Jesus comes back? That is actually what the Bible says. All these Jews and Christians think that your loved ones are looking down on you in Heaven when they die. That's not what the Bible says. It says that everyone who ever died is still dead and is waiting for Jesus to come back. I just can't believe that JW has convinced so many people of this. bro I’m an ex Catholic but this hit so hard.
He was just in a silly goofy mood 😂
Writers giving their characters lots of trauma and sad back stories for character development:
