Oleg: Thanks man. You are bringing it every week and bringing it good! I remember the good old days when you were a newbie to watches. You are now a full blown watch sommelier. Well maybe not that exactly, but pretty damn good, and I love the weekly specials that you are giving us. My dog Colby still is looking to trade ear bites with Bond!
Thank you very much for your kind words! It's hard to believe I've been making video about watches for around 7 years now! I can't even watch 30 seconds of my old videos haha Huge respect and a thank you for sticking with the channel for so long!!! Give ear scratches to Colby from us!
First time I watch a video on hour channel… well done! I agree on most of your comments. I really like these new Tag Heuer Carrera with glassbox, I’d like to see them in person (which means, William I resist the urge to buy one?? 😅 Anyway, the best part of the video was your lovely dog in the background! French bulldog? Beautiful! 😍
I really love Nomos watch design the only thing preventing me from purchasing one is the long lug to lug. i feel it would look too big on my skinny ass wrist lol
Love the new Tag Heuer F1 release. The Swatch/Blancpain Scuba, I’ve seen on my Specialist Doctor. He’s got Patek, IWC, Blancpain in his collection. His kids got him the swatch as a bit of fun. Wears it often.
Tag & LVMH know how the modern collectors think. The heavy hitters will be the 44mm F1s, then when they release smaller versions within the next year, those will get snapped up as well. It's all bait on the end of a fishing line.
Honestly, I thought the purple Carrera glassbox was the most interesting thing TAG Heuer announced. I've been waiting for that colorway to be taken more seriously by major brands and I think a headliner like the Carrera could really give it a push. Green can't stay trendy forever.
I own the newer Aquastar Benthos Founders Edition/Chronograph. I bought it pre-ordered. It's a thick watch but I love the 60 minute central minute chronograph function. I keep trying to figure out why I should re-sell it but I just can't. This watch looks so good! It's macho as hell with a little bit of elegance (weird but true). I can imagine this newest Aquastar Benthos (non chronograph) being great because it's slim and having the same good looks. It's a real diver and looks very much like my Aquastar chrono. Don't be afraid of buying from Aquastar unless you are trying to keep up with the Jones's. Believe me, you will be the only one around wearing one of these cool watches and they are so good!
That is awesome! I think every collection needs a watch like that Aquaster Benthos Founders edition. It's a watch that you will (almost) never see someone else wear. It is also supper unique with very interesting history! Great choice my friend!
I do like the new Nomos editions, I have an old Ludwig 36 that wears larger as it's all dial and the lugs are quite long. It's a very thin watch for an off the shelf auto. I'm happy that TAG are back as F1 sponsors, they have a greater heritage in motorsport including the older days of F1. Oh and I've never seen a Blancpain x Swatch Fifty Fathoms in the wild and I am one of those people who tends to notice what watches people wear unless it's a fruit based smart watch as they are everywhere but I'm sure they are great.
Missed the interesting news about the El Primero which is the fact they're working on making the movement & production more efficient for use throughout LVMH. I think Bulgari's crazy miniature automatic movement is really insane for small watches like the Serpenti, brings a lot of watchmaking to women's watches in particular. My favourite LVMH reveal is that amazing/hilarious Gerald Genta, gorgeous
Ahhhh while i love hearing about the expensive watches, I need to live within my budget and so am super psyched I preordered a $500 watch from a microband last night :D
I saw that while the Rainbow Zenith isn't limited edition, they will only make 50 per year. Doesn't hold a candle to the Daytona though. Love the Skeleton Chrono myself, think it works really well with the subdials.
The Chronomaster is, in so many ways, equal to or superior to the Daytona. There's a reason Rolex used to use Zenith movements in their Daytona. Take the Rolex name off the Daytona and you lose over half its value. From a pure mechanical standpoint, there's no way the Zenith "doesn't hold a candle to the Daytona>"
I am in a minority with my opinion of not liking the design. Quite a few people in the comments said they like that watch as well. I need to go and see it in person.
Man again with 42mm on the large side. No it is not it's just fine at 42. Why Christopher Ward bother with a useless Office GMT. I would really prefer the Miyota 9075 to this.
@@fark69 If you are referring to just the sparkly bits around the bezel, Rolex didn't invent that. You'll find rainbow dials on everything from Hublots to Moser Streamliners to AP Royal Oak special editions, to name just a few. If you are referring to the three register layout, Rolex *definitely* didn't invent that. That part is dictated by the choice of movements. Rolex chose to use a Zenith movement, and their watch turned out looking like a Zenith. Go figure.
And the Zenith Defy blah blah blah is a straight knockoff of the Royal Oak. I guess Zenith either ran out of ideas or they want to ride some kind of wave.
Zenith is doing the right thing. Anyone who is interested in multi sapphire watches but doesnt want to play shitty flipper games should also have a clear way to acquire what he wants.
We will find out soon if any of the people interested in those watches wanted them because of genuine interest or because they said Rolex on them and were scarce to buy
No, it isn't a rip-off and you need to get real about the watch market instead of pretending every watch lives in a vacuum. Zenith has its hardcore fanclub and some of them are very rich people. When you make a $112k factory bling piece and limit it to 50 per year, you're not aiming it at people who care much about price tags. Now, it may not be to your taste, but calling it a rip-off tells me more about your lack of understanding than anything else.
He said it was a Rip-off of the Rainbow Daytona. Meaning it is trying to copy it. He does have issue with the price, but didn't use Rip-off in that context. But to your point saying it will sell... just because a few people will buy it, doesn't mean it is good value.
This is the best weekly watch recap on UA-cam. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you very much!
I like Nomos and partnering with Doctors without Borders is incredible stuff. Thanks for putting that on my radar!
I agree. That Nomos looks awesome and it supports a good cause!

You're right! They have to think about future releases. We're probably going to see an annual update to this line.

TAG Heuer doing some good work with their new designs from Aquaracer, F1 and Carrera lines.

Saw the Pink Blancpain FF on Instagram and thought it was a meme.
Was hoping Tag’s sponsorship would result in reissue of a line inspired by original F1 range (or straight reissue) not a 44mm £4k watch
What about the F1 Kith (reissue)?🤮
Come on, man. It'd be perfect with a new Jaguar.
LOL Jaaaaaggggg *Clarkson's voice
yay, im the first to comment !! great show... keep up the good work !! ming.... but not at 6k !
Thank you! That Ming looks so cool but damn $6k is a lot of money
What the heck happened to that strap on one of the Ming pictures??? Half the strap is mounted backwards with the wrong side up 😂

personally I think the skeleton zenith is sick

The Zenith looks way better than the Daytona.
I am not a fan of Nomos the Zenith watch is way to expensive for me it is a NoGo...my favorit here is the Tag Heuer Carrera

I'm only wearing watches that cost as much as a apartment building in 1994

I'm not a big fan of the Zenith, but I'm not sure it's just a ripoff of the Daytona, especially since the Daytona used to have a Zenith movement.
