Our intention was never to end up in Philadelphia searching for Imbo and Petrone for the next few days for this story really started in 2 hours away in Quakertown, PA where John had convinced us there would be 10-15 cars in a quarry.
Turns out the cars underwater in the quarry were only a myth, leaving us with a few extra days at the start of our 2020 road trip across the US to clean up the environment of abandoned and stolen cars underwater along with focusing on missing persons cold case files.
With Philly so close, it was a good time to look into the disappearance of Danielle Imbo and Richard Petrone.
In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we search a pond in New Jersey before returning to the Delaware River.
So what did happen to Danielle and Richard?
Are they two missing persons who ended up in the river?
Were they carjacked?
What was the crime?
This investigation into Danielle and Rich’s disappearance remains open and active, and there is still a $50,000 reward for information on the couple’s whereabouts or for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for their disappearance. The reward is being administered by the Philadelphia Citizens Crime Commission.
Anyone with information that may assist investigators is urged to call the Citizens Crime Commission tip line at 215-546-TIPS (215-546-8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous.

I live in Philly, wanted you to know - the bridge on 30/130, crossing the Cooper River, was replaced in 2014. The bridge that was there for 80+ years before then had stone guardrails that had fallen down or fully crumbled in several places. If you're ever back in the area, please scan under that bridge, as it's entirely possible that no one noticed signs of a vehicle careening off the bridge given all the problems with the old bridge. I can find old photos of the bridge from the early 2000s if that helps!
You're seeing an image of the bridge that was built in 2014 at 6:54, the older one was torn down after 85 years of service. The bridge was a mess by the 2000s, repairs had to be done all the time.
Also, they disappeared in the winter - almost every bridge in the area, particularly the older ones, are awful in those temperatures. It was ~26°F at midnight, with 10 mph gusts of wind. I nearly skidded into the railing from a patch of black ice on an on-ramp last year, and I was only going 15 mph. If Richard had been drinking (or even if they were both stone cold sober), driving in the dark over an icy old bridge could've been their COD.

About convo at 14:00 - there's no toll on the Ben Franklin bridge if you're crossing from PA into NJ, only the opposite way. So, while I'm pretty sure there were cameras on the bridge itself (added after 9/11), Richard and Danielle wouldn't have gone through a tollbooth on the Ben Franklin. I don't know what kind of cameras were in use in 2005, but I did just confirm DRPA/PATCO installed new "intelligent" ones in 2008. A camera map was released awhile ago, the only camera I saw on the Ben Franklin (NJ side) was at an on-ramp. I know there was one at an on-ramp on the Philly side, but there are multiple spots to get on the Ben Franklin. Figured I'd mention that as well.
Awesome updates, we all hope extra information will lead to an outcome

I remember seeing there story on I think the ID channel many years ago. I think they were targeted by some bad people. But for some reason. I thought there vehicle was under a bridge In water. Or hidden in Florida. On a abandoned property.
You all are absolutely amazing. My 7 year old autistic son was watching you all one day pulling a car out. I could not get him interested in anything. One day here you are. Then whole family love watching you all. I love what you all stand for. Thank you ❤️
Wow, they mostly talk the whole time. That's cool he could catch the few minutes of them pulling cars out!
@@ScoobyShotU Yeah.. we don't exactly "suffer" from autism. We struggle and it's a disability (which is a massive spectrum!). If this kiddo is anything like me, it's the editing. Jared also teaches each video... so to a degree, I can read his sonar because I've watched so many videos. The only thing that my brain doesn't like is when they pull cars and the crunch against the rocks.
I just found your channel through Profiling Evil. I live in mount Laurel, this is awesome!! I’ve been binge watching your channel for days. You guys are amazing!!!
Crazy, I live in Medford lakes and been a sub for atleast a year now and I’m just seeing this myself. Can’t believe they were so close. It’s weird seeing them search waterways i know

I’m in Collingswood and wish I knew too. Been watching AWP since Jared was diving cleanups with his daughter as his camera person.
I just found the channel yesterday, I've been sick for over a week and finally have something new and inspiring to binge watch, which I have been doing for over 24 hours. This one got me extra because I'm in central Jersey...I'm really surprised that there aren't more cars in the water down there. I will bet that they would find some interesting discoveries up here around the Newark / Elizabeth area... Just saying 🙄🤔
SUGGESTION Jared: call top towing companies to see which bodies of water they have pulled vehicles from
"If you guys in Philadelphia could let me know where you dump cars leave a comment below" LMAO 😂Priceless👌
How long has those guardrails been up ?
Because it could of been before the guardrails were up .
I am familiar with that area. It has been a heavy traveled area with the roads well built with guard rails
That's what I was thinking
Not if they never crossed that bridge it's irrelevant
@@taylor12317 they never crossed any of the local bridges
Hey Sam, Jarad, Brock even if nothing was found, you were able to clear those bodies of water of any vehicles! Great job everyone.

Your respect and sensitivity to these cases, the families and law enforcement is phenomenal. This one was a real tear jerker and you deserve any reward that has been offered. Glad to be a member here. You make us proud.
Hear me out... There is one thing many people have overlooked. The area where South Street is lies in the "original" Philadelphia, aka Center City. And yes, it's a very dense area with essentially zero "desolate areas". BUT, they lived in Mt. Laurel. So it's likely they didn't try to take the Ben Franklin Bridge... no one from that part of NJ takes the Ben Franklin... they probably tried to take the Betsy Ross bridge. That's the bridge most people from suburban NJ, especially Mt.Laurel, take... because it takes you right to 73 into Mt.Laurel. Which means they likely went down Delaware Ave/Richmond St to the Betsy Ross bridge entrance in Port Richmond... because Delaware Ave/Richmond St runs right below I-95, following it exactly, and if you've been drinking, that's the way you take so you don't get pulled over or in an accident. If they did that, THEN they were definitely near water access and many desolate areas. There are streets right off Richmond street where you can drive right into the water. Look up Graffiti Pier for an example, it's right on the route from South Street to the Betsy Ross bridge entrance on Richmond Street. That is something I haven't heard anyone suggest yet. It seems the most likely scenario to me.
Betsy Ross is near the Pennsauken NJ area I pick up medical supplies at Datwyler there I know 95 and 295 and the Delaware memorial bridge area and also the Walt Whitman Bridge too. Also hwy 73/130 area as well.
I dought they would be by graffiti pier the tides gets really low there and you can see the bottom of the river sometimes off to the sides and you can't really get cars back there well back when they went missing you couldn't there were big locked gates and kites of trees and debris and trash back then me and my friends used to go back there to fish swim or just hang out gross I know lol but true a friend of mine found the kid Jason Sweeney when going back there to fish but inorder for us to get back there back then you had to be on foot and go through holes in the fence but if they would be back there they would be found because there building houses condos and all kinds of stuff back there now all along the river so I hope they do find them one day soon because there family's need and deserve that peace you know..

So can you put up a map w X's on it where you have checked so those of us still trying to help family get closure we know where they are not for sure so we know what's been checked and what has not
I bet Dan Dan the CAMERA MAN could add that
Just a point on that. They have found people in cars in areas that was searched before, so do not completely ignore all previous searched areas.
I'm sure that you guys have checked into this but it seems that there was a heavy snow storm system going on during the time of their disappearance, so I'd think about adding that to driving/road factors. I used to live not too far from south Philly & the ice storms up that way were horrendous. Lots of cold Canadian air, combined with eastern bay & southern moisture, would create severe freezing conditions on the roads, & a lot of the highways in Philly & Jersey are concrete & elevated based, which tends to cause roads to freeze much faster at temps near & a bit above freezing due to winds under raised road construction. I only say this because back in the early 90's I slid sideways down a roadway that went over a creek & the back of my car slid up & onto a jersey wall barrier, & luckily I didn't go over but it didn't take much to get my vehicle up there. Just a few thoughts I figured I should say something about & hopefully will help with your investigation here. Good luck & thank you for all that you guys do for so many families, be safe & God Bless. The weather site with the winter storm weather at that time. - www.weather.gov/phi/02202005wss

Will there be a part 3 to this?! I'm so convinced their car is underwater somewhere. So Sad. Thank you for your efforts!
I've been following this since they went missing and always thought they ended up in the water by accident somewhere. The rumors that surround this story are ridiculous.
@@JubeProductions yes I agree 100%! That’s exactly what it is
@@jdaxci I watched both parts of their search and they were just blindly guessing where to look. They need someone that is familiar with those roads, and the routes they might have taken that night. I know the area well, and know there are many, many different roads they could have taken depending on any one of many factors. They ruled out taking the Walt Whitman bridge just because it is south of South street, and south of Mt Laurel, but I know it's easier to get on WW bridge from South Street, then it is to get on Ben Franklin Bridge.
I wish their team was able to have investigative information from the authorities to help narrow down their search. One person claims there was no records from any of the bridges that they crossed that night. I don't know how accurate that info is and wouldn't rely on it.
I just hope the family get answers someday.
Duh! Like their stupid here! Don't think so!
They could have followed 95 north to 295 south to avoid the toll. 15 years ago you paid both ways.
Good idea.
Pretty likely, when I go onto vacation we sometimes try to skip toll as well
I'm pretty sure most of the bridges they would've taken were one way tolls back then, going all the way up to 295 south would be so far out of the way to get back to mt laurel too
Lots of chop shops 15 years ago that car could have been re tagged and sold or dismantled and parted out. You would never find at trace of that vehicle if that happened and like I said it was a actually business to some individuals
Also reckon that the ex-husband had a hand in their disappearance, as it very conveniently gave him custody of his son, along with avoiding a divorce settlement!

In the future they should really use google earth and specifically historical satellite views to see what bridges and roads looked like when people disappeared.
If you're thinking that specific vehicles could be identified in this manner, you'd be running into massive privacy issues.
Not vehicles,roads and bridges!

Using Google to see what things looked back then. I’ve only watched 4 videos and they’ve mentioned guardrails a few times so they run into that issue quite a bit I believe.
Jared, just found your channel and presently going back to watch them all. Question: do you and your team use the feature on Google Earth to go back in time to approximately the time of the Cold Case started to see what the area looked like at that time? Fifteens yrs is a long time. If someone was involved with their death, there'd be some talking going on, especially if that someone is sitting in jail and wants to lighten his/her reason for being there. Thanks for an awesome show 💪🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I believe that you're right Allison. People talk so there should have been something by now. In my home town of Kansas, one of my dad's school friends was found in a ditch. Nobody knew anything about how he got there or why. It was about 15 years later when a female was talking to someone at a bar about killing a guy and dumping in a ditch. Apparently she is a diabetic and stuck him with one of her insulin pins which was the reason why he died. She's now in prison for opening her mouth. I'm with you on this and think that it might have been an accident and they ended up somewhere where it hasn't been checked yet. It's just a matter of time.
I think they need to go further out from town, I lived in a small town long time ago and everyone knew what you drove. I think they need to go back roads or further out of town at least 50 miles
strange that even their car never found
@@RussellNelson330 I still live in a small town and they say jokingly that if you don't know what you are doing someone else does.

Before searching too deeply I would have researched the Philidelphia parking authorities files from 15 years ago to be sure they didn't tow and sell the vehicle. Because if that is a possibility they may have been made vunarable and they could be anywhere. Just a thought. And could be a reason for not picking up the vehicle before auction. It could also explain why the police haven't found it. Especially if someone bought it to scrap out.

15 years ago, the most secluded area that I can think of in Philly would be graffiti pier. Its abandoned, right next to the Delaware river, away from eyes, and very dark at night. Graffiti pier is under redevelopment now so access is not all that great but with the current over years, its tough to say you'll find much.

Exactly that ex husband I looked in his eyes with one short clip he gives me vibes he knew someone.
In that area my dad when he was alive said that they like to crush cars with people in them. Which means they're long gone if that's how it went
Wow!
Oh man thats true!
@Brenda Shadley Shadley buried far enough in the car the crush would not have a body come out. It gets dropped in a big shredder for recycling. It happened alot more then people know. I knew of one being a police officer and other was another man who owned a crushing business. Only way they got found was when body parts popped up. Otherwise would have been shred and no one knowing the wiser.
@Brenda Shadley Shadley well all it takes is for you to find a person who works there who needs money or you just know a person an trust them enough. Money talks... if the ex husband can “hire” some one to make his ex wife an all disappear he can definitely pay some one off... it’s almost like the story of jimmy Hoffa. The mafia said they put in him a car an crushed it hence why he will never be found. A car crushed in a machine that makes the car into a square cube there will be literally no evidence. All you would have to go by is hear say. If you killed a person what makes you think they care about legal trouble. But any way with all that being said it may be possible for that “crushed car” theory to be true..
D. W. Yes legal is not lawful
I found you guys last night and have been watching one episode after another
Check Side road ponds, not everything had guard rails then. Alot of car's back then we're crushed alot when stolen or stripped down for part's, people were tossed in river's with blocks tied to them or in drum's. If ex husband would have access to a pig farm back then nothing would be found.

Jared, Something you may not have ever considered in a lot of these cases, a car can sit in a small body of water unnoticed for years and most people never consider the possibility that a car could even be in there.
If you Google "Mackay Queensland Australia" you will see on the map a small town about 20 miles south of Mackay, named Sarina, I cannot recall what year it was but it would be in the early 1990's a young fellow had only been married about 9 weeks and it was just before christmas he lived in Sarina and every work day he drove his car from Sarina to Mackay where he worked, on the last day of the working year his workplace was having a christmas party so on this day he finished work and then drove home to Sarina and got changed into suitable casual cloths and then drove back into Mackay to attend the party, according to witnesses at the party he only drank about 2 alcoholic drinks early in the evening and then only drank coke because he had to drive home to Sarina, he left the party around 10pm and never arrived home. He was never seen or heard from for about 17 years, the Sarina shire council were doing drainage maintenance work along the side of Homebush Road just north west of Sarina , when they discovered a submerged car in a water hole that was barely the width of the car but was about 8' deep, the police were called and the car was lifted out and it was discovered the remains of this young fellow that had gone missing all those years ago.
So you may want to extend your searches to include smaller bodies of water where a car can fit.

These last 2 episodes kind of made it like you found them. Maybe in the description say, no luck but help us to help the family.
What a great role model for our young men. I love how you involve them in doing research.
When I first saw this I thought IMBO was an acronym for something. Lol. I spent at least 5 mins before I realized it was her last name!🤦🏼♀️🙈😂😂😂
If in New Mexico y’all need to call me. I can cook all of the food. I love people and food. Let me know number of days how many people and dietary restrictions. Include favorites. So eat well for free in NM. I can kitchen on sight. I can drive kitchen to remote location. Your work is without the need to defend. I’ll be honored to assist.
I love Sam the man smile . Love what you do to help family find their lLove ones stay safe .
First off I can’t believe I’m just seeing this now. Second, I can’t believe you guys were only like 25 mins away from my hometown in Medford Lakes, NJ.
You forgot to introduce, "Dan, Dan, the Techie Man". He came in after the intros.
Yes.... Without his excellent filming and editing it would hurt their channel... For such a young man he is an expert!!!! It's June, 2021 now and I've some recent videos and not the same quality at all... Where is Dan now?
I often wondered what happen to them. I remember seeing this un the local news. I live in south jersey.
Love the addition of the places that was cleared at the end! Great job Dan for that.
This case was on the show *Disappeared* & there were only cameras (back then) coming in not going back same with the tolls were only coming in
This case has drove me crazy for years.
I hope someone went back and checked this place Will Lakes Preserve Dev. They may be there.
I’m new at your Chanel and I thank you for helping family’s in needs 🥰
My wife went for a bath 2 hours ago and she hasn't returned yet. Is this a water search?! And I'm waiting for my dinner.
Jared did you check the lake area along Rt 38 between Mt Laurel and Moorestown, NJ. There are entrances to park near the water.
We pulled out of NJ because there was no evidence they made it across the river.
Not saying it happen but maybe I'm reaching! Just wonder if someone did hire a hit out on them maybe there vehicle was placed inside a larger box truck or something! Never know for sure and maybe I'm being crazy for even saying that! If people will hide other things inside box trucks and even self storage places that could be possiblity
@@AdventuresWithPurpose they must of burried them and the car who ever it was knew them. Or something..but it started at the bar.
What you do for families is absolutely Amazing. I love watching your channel, so u give peace to the families. Well done everyone!!!!!!
From England x
Well you know what they say... everything's legal in Jersey

Great work guys and to the people behind the scene , im so glad to see people like yourselves keeping the old missing cases alive , good luck i hope the family and friends can find closure . wishing u all a safe and wonderful Christmas and a great new year for 2021..
Love what you guys are doing. Dan, your editing skills improve with each video...you're a star! 💙💙💙
Ooof, that pollution just flowing into that pond you first searched in this video is horrible. The town needs to check that out.
I noticed that also.
You're obviously not from Jersey. We have such iconic and beautiful water ways but the pollution is very sad. I know we do get an awful lot from NY trash barges over the years. Our beaches aren't what they used to be. The ocean is a little better but too many the bays and rivers that were swimable when I was young are lost to us now.
@@valtoton2982 One does not need to be from Jersey to see the pollution and I still believe it needs to be addressed if it has not been done yet.
Hi there, im in Australia and also a diver, we are taught to always dive with a buddy in case something happens in the water. In USA different?
You’re gonna learn a whole different way of driving in NJ 😂
I work in Maple Shade and years ago worked with Danielle's brother. I really didn't know him but like any family member that's missing...search and don't ever stop looking!! I work near the Tacony Palmyra bridge would that be a possibility too?? So many large bodies of water to search. So much has changed in Philly in 15 yrs. Those of you that live near South Street, Dave and Busters. Give the divers any information that they can use!!! Like others have said the bridges coming into NJ may have had only 1 way tolls...going into PA. Bring them home!!! 🙏❤ Please stay safe and ty so much for doing what you do and helping so many familes! 🥰❤🙏
Someone with photoshop skills needs to add Jared, Sam, Dan, and Brock's faces onto the famous painting of Washington crossing the Delaware river and use it as a thumbnail!
My boy from Philly says don't search the Schuylkill River unless you're interested in finding body's.
I think you need to look at the maps from the year they went missing
Keep pushing to find them and bring them home!
Nothing to do with the finding of these two, Jarrod, your comment about how nice everyone is there in south Jersey was so funny! I'm from south Jersey originally and as soon as you said it, I laughed so hard out loud!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️
I remember this case. Sure wish these families could find out what happened to them. I love and appreciate all you do.
Good Morning ☀️ from the Dominican Republic… Sending so much love to everyone over at AWP today!!!
When I worked in law enforcement I’ve seen so many missing persons recovered in waterways ether they drove into it or were placed into it great channel
👍
I live in bucks county witch is outside of Philadelphia so maybe check around bucks county and there is a strait shot from downtown philly to bucks county and also it might be a good idea to check waterways along the major highway it’s called 95 it goes from Maine to Florida hopefully this helps a little
13:07 when he zoomed in on that lake there was something just off the screen there was something in the water
I was watching a Detective movie and there was a car that got crushed into a box shape with 2 guys in it, I pray that something like that really never happens in real life, I just watched part 2 of Daniell Imbo and Richard Petrone. maybe you guys know people with a car scaping company that give you some in sight ti see if is even possible.
Out of curiosity have you ever thought of consulting old city maps when doing older cases? They would be able to inform you better on what existed then for sure, possibly including infrastructure upgrades that might impact the places you choose to search.
We do use Google Earth Pro which allows us to go back in time and look at how roads and land existed during a specific period in time.
Once again...you think these guys are stupid???
Wess, Austin, and Houston? Are they all from Texas possibly? Just curious.
Y’all should really come to Illinois and search around a place called Dogtown by Paxton there’s 2 cold cases that I know of one from 97 and another from 07
I have been to dogtown several times, I have friends in the Paxton area. There are several places in and around the Ford/Champaign county lines that anyone could disappear into and no one would notice
@@ram50v8 the place is definitely perfect for a dumping ground there’s a string of ponds and quarry’s along a river
I still say either side of Cooper River in NJ. It would have been on route on there way home from the club and very very easy to crash into. It gets swept but they are still pulling cars out since the 90’s. I’ve known a few people that crashed there. Its between 2 dangerous road it sits off of. Cuthburt blvd and route 130 . It’s boarders by 3 different townships. Or they could have taken the Tacony bridge home and gone off the side. That’s the Delaware River also. Late at night no one might have seen or heard it. It’s a tiny bridge in and out of NJ/Philly.
id still check out the will lakes preserve Dev it looks like there may be a car in the pic looks like the roof a silver or grey vehicle as for passing through toll booths ppl can go around them
Jersey and philly vehicle goes to uncle louie's wrecking yard vehicle gets crushed with bodies in it then buried deep in the ground by the excavator
Missed the Linden Avenue boat ramp....all kinds of strange stuff happens there and can get to 24/7 Just off academy red exit of 95
I mentioned that area to them the last time they were here in the area.
I knew Richard when we were younger, about 10 years before he disappeared. I have been following the case since it happened, and when I heard of these people that solve missing cases I thought this would be the perfect case. I really think if you guys sat down and thought about it, and had some more info you would be able to solve it. I have always thought the went into the water by accident because there has never been any clues found including the truck. It would help to have someone that knows the area help you. There are many different routes that Richard could have taken home, depending on certain things. If he was intoxicated maybe he wanted to stay on highway and avoid local police on smaller roads. Maybe they wanted to visit a person house on way home, or get something to eat somewhere specific. The route could have been different because of traffic, or any of number of reasons. There are literally 50 different routes from South Street to Mt Laurel and a lot of them have waterways nearby. Maybe they wanted some privacy and went to park down by the river, or maybe they decided to take the scenic route home and talk.
I hope the families get answers to this case soon, because I know it bothers me and I barely knew him, I can't imagine what it's like for their kids and families.
The fact that you discredit the route with the Walt Whitman bridge is nuts, It is easier to get to the Walt Whitman Bridge from South Street than it it to the Ben Franklin or Betsy Ross. IN fact his truck was parked on a side street that has a southernly flow of traffic, which would take them to the Walt Whitman bridge. It's south of South street. You really needed to have more information and someone with a better knowledge of the roads in the area.
Evening. Jered. & Sam. Blessings. To. Both. Of. You
