Crazy to think that Stephen called her “one of the most powerful magic users” before he knew that she had the darkhold, she was much more powerful then he expected.
And that's before he knows she's the Scarlet Witch.
@@varric exactly!!
Scarlet reading the Darkhold may have corrupted her by its author Chthon. Gaea is the birth mother of Thor, she’s Hercules’ grandmother, and the sister of Chthon.

That was my most favorite part of this entire scene because it's really clever. She made one mistake and then she was like, "Ah...shit."
It reminds me of several scenes from Doctor Who like when [SPOILER ALERT] The Valeyard's true identity is revealed so normally by The Master and it only takes a minute or two for people to catch that, and to be like, "Wait, did I hear that right?" (and it's only confirmed when The Doctor points it out). It's just the kind of clever writing I really like that's only ever really prevalent in Doctor Who. 😞
I love how she pulled off her own “reality is often disappointing” Thanos line lol.
The scene that made thousands of people around the world say "oh.. fuck"
So true 😂
i did not want her to become villain. but she was wonderful
Yeah and made the rest of us cringe with how the MCU was handling such a good character.
I got chills when I heard the music. Alan Silvestri did such a great job with this scene when she reveals her magic.
@@counterfeit4450 it actually happened in the comics not just the movie. Kang was terrified of her. Within good reason. It's setting up her fighting kang if she comes back
I love how initially, he's even questioning if the apple blossoms are real or not. He should have not believed her LOL
Proves how good she is with her magics 👍🏻👍🏻 if she can create something that realistic
What I find interesting is he is questioning the blossom branch but than you realize the full scale of her magic. He never realized everything was her magic just not that small branch.

@@jaymoneytrader Not crazy, per se. Just completely amoral.
@@SlimThrull oh crazy is right on the line. Hence it's a Multiverse of Madness not Multiverse of Wiseness (?)
So why didn't she just recreate them? What's stopping her?
Funny thing Steven, because Wanda is a Nexus being, whatever natural law you think exists is null in void, where if Wanda wants, she can rewrite said natural law to her will and that becomes the new natural law. This is why she's so terrifying.
Correct it was stated in the show WandaVision by the witch that Wanda pulls her power from chaos magic a similar primordial force that Doctor Strange uses from time to time to match her
That’s not how it works lol. The natural law is the order of which things were created from the start. If she starts to change things, it’s not natural anymore, it’s man (or women), made. A fat example of this is literally the entirety of WandaVision when she creates the hex. Warping reality and it’s denizens for her desires causing beings that existed originally to exist, and warping the minds of the town. All breaking the natural law. Even Agatha commented on this
but thats what half the villains want to do and some are almost capable of doing at the end, yet guys like cap mouth off against them and eventually wins.
"[N]ull in void" ...
Was gonna grammar correct, ('null and void'), but given the entire context, this is one of those rare instances where such a slip up is correct ...
I would imagine she is of such power, she can live in the quantum singularity of a supermassive blackhole, a place where all known natural laws of existence don't, well, exist ... and where, within, absolutely anything can, and does, exist ...
... but there is no way of knowing as the very extremes of gravity within a volume of space predicted to be no bigger than the largest atomic nucleus, means she can create everything/anything, as all there can ever be is just pure energy, in a formless mass: null, in a void, that is basically so small, you can't see it, yet outside of which is power that can, and does, influence an entire galaxy, holding it together from falling apart ...
Yeah, her and Thanos with that gauntlet.
"Your kids aren't real. You created them with magic"
"That's what every mother does"
"Ok,but like, you LITERALLY conjured them up by using actual witchcraft..."
Not really😑
Shut up
witchcraft is it's own power in the mcu

@@agentsarcas6891 lol you are a turd. You approve this scarlet poop over a great idea.
@@agentsarcas6891 I was OK with her becoming a villain for this movie, we all knew it was going to head there eventually. What I was not so OK with with the lack of direction in the story. It felt like it was building to a plot twist that never arrived, and they just kept throwing marvel cameos at us to stay intrigued. Also I was beyond convinced that the dark hold was trying to get Wanda to open a portal to the nexus, because the logic of her plan kept crumbling when put up to scrutiny. Notice how some of what she said to justify her actions somewhat echoes that of what Agatha said both at her trial in Salem and at Westview in WandaVision. The way Wanda said the dark hold had opened her eyes. It sounded similar right down to the tone of Agatha when she said she didn’t “break your laws, I just bent them to my will.“ Also noticed Wanda’s M O seems to be in keeping with Agatha‘s when She had the book in her possession. Agatha stole power “from the unworthy“, Wanda was trying to steal America’s power. And last but not least, that tidbit when Wanda rationalized killing America, it reminded me of when Agatha cited Wanda being the scarlet witch being “dangerous“ almost like she was rationalizing what she planed to do. I think we can assume that the book was manipulating Agatha just like it manipulated Wanda. And I think it definitely had an agenda. That it’s custody transferred from Agatha to Wanda was not an accident. I think it wanted to get to Wanda so that it could use her to get America’s power. With the endgame of opening A portal to the nexus. I’m hoping we get to see that explored in secret wars.
You’re on something ! Hope it’s true
That's what the darkhold does it's not just the ultimate grimare of dark magic but it's job also corrupts it's user
Thats what I hated the most about Multiverse of Madness. Wandavision made a clear distinction between Wanda and Agatha as a "good witch vs evil witch" with Wanda's "I don't need to be told who I am" as in "I'm not evil, that prophecy doesn't define me". A good witch that has good intentions but evil powers that hurt other people vs an evil witch that wants to enslave the world by stealing her powers. Multiverse of Madness removed all of that and made Wanda into Agatha
Agatha was right all along
Tony Stark even called Wanda a weapon of mass destruction. Back in Captain America Civil War.
I actually love her as the scarlet witch and a villain.
Sameeeee
Evil strange would’ve made a far more compelling villain. Woulda been so cool to see a Dr Strange from another universe pulling all the strings as the main baddie. Huge missed opportunity

Wanda should have realized a simple truth from her life and the lives of her fellow avengers that life is never fair to anyone (example being Thor).
For weeks she had everything. Her power gave her the means to living a true dream on Earth. A perfect reality. But the cost being it required her constant power to stay extant, innocent people to conform to a harmful hex and she eventually had to realise it wasn't lasting.
It corrupted her, changed her, messed her up knowing she had to force a happy ending at the cost of others.
The darkhold showed her an infinite number of universes where she could try it again, and integrate herself properly. With America's power she could have found one.
That's more than enough reason for Wanda to disregard her empathy and turn evil
Yeah, except Strange broke the rules for the half of the universe with knowledge that he is going to vanish for years.
And in meanwhile Christine probably is going to fall in love, etc, etc, etc. So breaking the rules was his sacrifice.
Wanda broke the rules out of pure egoism while willing to sacrifice everyone on her path.
That does not seem fair? Bah! The situations are pretty much reverse for fuck's sake!
"After that, youll never see me again"
aww...but we wanna see you again. Forever. 🥺❤
"Hunted for abilities you never wanted."
Last I heard, Wanda volunteered for the procedure.
Regret is a thing, and it’s extremely common.not to mention she thought she only had telekinesis and stuff, not multiversal ending magic
Wanda did volunteer for the procedure, but she was also born with these powers, but never knew about it. If she was never experimented one day she would’ve found out by accidentally doing something with her hands.
Wanda never wanted Chaos Magic or any other power. When she used to live with her Sokovian family, watching sitcoms as a child, do you really think she wanted superpowers? She just wanted to be happy.
She volunteered for the Hydra because she HAD TO, to punish those who killed her parents. The death of her parents compelled her to volunteer, otherwise, she didn't want any reality bending power whatsoever
I think in the comments she was a mutant i.e born that way rather than an enhanced
Honestly I didn’t expect her to actually be the main villain. Loved it tho and overall one of the better movies of phase four imo
Honestly, I hated that they made her a villain. It's like Marvel realized they made Wanda far too powerful and wanted to get ride of her, because having her around will mean that the future fights will be too easy to win.
@@varric this! If you look at her arc from Age of Ultron to Madness of the Multiverse she's a punching bag and then discarded.

Elizabeth Olsen was just so fantastic in this. She really grew in her role as Wanda and went absolutely feral with this and absolutely killed it. I freakin loved her in this movie
Nah, while I agree she was a great actor, what they did to her character was atrocious, and such a shitty direction. SW went through literal movies worth of character development and they threw it down the drain. She murders scores of sorcerers and a super-hero team of another universe, all without mercy, and then like 5 minutes of redemption, we are supposed to forget all the horrific things she's done? Yeah sorry, shitty story telling.
This was shitty story-writing. They could have used another version of Wanda for that role and it would have made the movie so much better on that alone.
She could've just said she absorbed another witch's power, one that could read minds. (Agatha)
Doesn't matter if Agatha could or couldn't read minds, Strange doesn't know that 😂
At 4:49: It’s the first time Wanda addressed herself as the Scarlet Witch within the MCU.

@@GrandmaVhagarYeah i know that and I was replying to @fortrohan-brawlstars2745
she wanted the sons she created for 10 days, but not the husband she spent time with for years. Brilliant writing .
I thought about this a lot too. But my conclusion is that in Wanda’s mind she thinks vision is gone. The vision she fell in love with was pulled to pieces and there was no more connection between then “I don’t feel you.” And the one she created was connected to the hex. Of course you could argue that she could have done the same thing searching for him like she did her kids, but what if she couldn’t find another vision and that is why she is clinging so hard onto this idea of being with her kids. Because in the movie the Wanda in 838 looks to be a single mom, so my guess is she couldn’t find vision. And the white version of him that got uploaded doesn’t have a connection to Wanda aside from what ever the other vision gave him. So he could be hiding to truly find out who he is as vision. Of course I would have loved to see more vision in the movie, but I could also see why he wasn’t in it.
Ask any woman if she could bring her kids or her husband back to life
You do realize in Wanda vision that the original vision was resurrected and tried to attack her. It was probably too much to know that the real vision is out there and didn’t want her anymore
@@xxcridonxx7614 I’d also like to add that, WandaVision in it’s entirety was her finally getting over her grief for losing Vision. She literally and figuratively went through the five stages of grief all throughout the show.

Strange: So i can see.
I still don't understand why haven't they used Pietro's death as her motivation - trying to find her REAL twin brother alive in the multiverse would make so much damn sense.
It would made the movie beautifully cathartic.
I mean she could just go to universe where both her child and brother exist right
She's already moved on from her grief of losing Pietro, and it was her children she heard calling out to her from the darkhold (because it knew exactly where to target her to get her to use its power)
You know I remember when this movie was first announced that the premise was going to be a fun magical movie about Wanda seeking Strange's help to improve her skills.
Oooh boy that sure didn't age well.
that should had been the plot
Because of that teaser we saw at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, I thought this movie gonna be about this reveal that the events of No Way Home caused some kind of rift in the Multiverse. Because of that, Doctor Strange, Wanda, and America were gonna travel through the multiverse to do whatever they needed to do to fix it. I was dead wrong
I know it is the way it is for the plot but it doesn't make sense that Wanda knowing America's name without being told would be such a big deal. Wanda has displayed some really powerful telepathic abilities. She evacuated an entire city with her mind and that was when her power was brand new. Her picking up a name from someone's head with out making a conscious effort while they are actively thinking about the person in question doesn't seem like something that would be outside her range of abilities.
Edit:just because she said she gave up magic doesn't mean that her telepathic and telekinetic abilities are out of play. It was never said whether or not they spawned from her chaos magic or if they were separate abilities.
Because she just said she put the magic behind her, which would include her use of telepathy, so if she said she read his mind, it'd kinda contradict her statement of leaving the magic behind. Also, Wanda asking who is pursuing America implies that she has no idea who America is, considering Stephen hadn't said her name and Wanda is asking, as if she wasn't the 1 who conjured up the monsters that chased America in the Gap Junction and New York.
That would be good if she hadn’t claimed to leave magic behind which her mind reading is a form of
@@FTQuake it was never said if her telepathic and telekinetic abilities were forms of magic. Idk why people have jumped to that conclusion
Maybe because Strange mind is strong. If you remember she was scanning the sorcerers to pick who has the weakest mind to raid in and it was the boy. Also her eyes would be red if she's gonna try to read someone like how she try to read Agatha. She can't read mind automatically like Xavier, she needs to focus her power first.
@@skylarcandylife5628 True but the area they were in was under her complete control even her outfit and hairdo was changed. I don't think it would be much of a stretch to cover up her power signature or even create a duplicate of herself while she did what she needed to unseen

It really wasn't good. It was campy and didn't make sense...
@@saquist campy is good, and it made plenty of sense
@@gentlemancharmander4411 campy is rarely good. It takes talent to make it work?
Really? It made sense why vision was in none of these realities? Why she didn't just find a reality where her kids mom was gone?
@@saquist in this day and age, campy is always good.
Because she never knew about those realities. The only one she knew of, was from her dream, hence why she wanted to go there. Considering how difficult it was to even get to another reality, I doubt it would be easy to search through an endless number of realities for the perfect one, especially when there’s already one she has her heart set on. And this isn’t even a confusing thing, we’re you just not paying attention to the movie?
The difference between Strange making a very hard decision by giving Thanos the timestone and hoping the others would figure it out and Wanda wanting to take America's power so she can travel the multiverse is that Strange was forced to make his decision. He was pushed on the defensive and got backed into a corner where his choice was the only chance half of Earth and the universe at large had of surviving. He didn't make the choice because he wanted to, but because he had to.
Wanda is choosing to go on the offensive and is making the choice. No one is forcing her to take America's power. Nothing bad is going to happen if she doesn't do that. She wants the power because she misses her Westview family and wants it back. Understandable, yes, but when it comes at the cost of taking a teenager's life without even considering her as an actual human being, you cna understand why Strange pauses to question her morality. Like, where did that justification come from? America has powers and thus she's a 'supernatural being' and not a person? Is that your justification? Are you no longer human because you have powers now? Or Strange? Or any of the other superpowered people out there? Are they not human beings anymore, as well?
She chastises Strange for indulging in self deception, but she's doing it herself on a level much higher than Strange ever was. He wants to believe he's happy, even though he knows he's not. Many people are doing that. She wants to rip apart the fabric of the multiverse so she can find a family to usurp and feel whole again. That's a different ballgame altogether.
So true. Wanda doesn't know shit about why Strange had to give up the stone...
"It will be the Scarlett Witch."

Given that without giving Thanos the time stone Thanos would have won in the end Doctor Strange didn't break any rules. Wanda wants to straight up murder someone and steal their powers, which is apparently a thing she can do now....
Actually, her plans mean she needs to murder TWO people, not just one. She needs both America, and the other reality's Wanda, to die.
She’s talking about Steven knowing the outcome that Tony would die in that scenario. Her mirroring that onto herself is where the darkhold comes into play which shifts her sense of reason and perception.
Still this script was not thought through well enough, lots of plot holes and way too short for the story they tried to tell.
@@TombRaiderGirl100more like no way home events because these changes reality
This scene is a reminder that phase 4 actually started out really good… Hopefully they can get it together.
The ENTIRE theater went crazy when she transformed 😂😂😂❤
She is so beautiful. Power of her lines are only matched w her facial expressions.
I use such lines to flirt or in a small talk, but not talking about killing innocent child and destroying worlds. Her lines are bullshit. Child-like responses.
“Wanda that was war..” it’s crazy that in the MCU world. These two were in a big ass war just months ago before the events of Westchester and MoM..
Elizabeth Olsen is the best thing to ever happen for Marvel. She is carrying the franchise right now.
She is not even there anymore bro . Loki is the one who is carrying it along with Deadpool.
She definitely looks unhinged here. I don’t get her motivation though. She was sad but resigned at the end of Wanda Vision.
This kinda reminds me of gandalf and saruman walking in the woods around isengard and talking about the palantir and wanda putting up the beauty illusion really hits home for me.
Stephen's face of disappointment when he realized Wanda was the baddie.
I didn’t hate this movie, but one major thing I wasn’t crazy about was this scene, and the choice to make Scarlet Witch the main antagonist. Wanda turned out to be the villain in Wandavision, in a unique way, and I enjoyed it. Her arc in the show was satisfying for me. I feel like this movie just re-used that arc, so these moments just felt a bit cheesy. Just my opinion.
They didn't reuse anything ,in wandavision she was tricked and in this movie it's the dark hold ,it's important to have this movie to officially introduce scarlet witch
America was the worst part of the movie
@@tubenachos America can never be the worst part of anything. 🇺🇸
No seriously, I get that. I didn’t have that big of an issue with her in the movie, her powers seem pretty cool, but she definitely wasn’t developed much, and she was essentially just a McGuffin for the plot. I can see that being annoying.
@@niraxlevi9930 I hear ya, and it was cool to see her fully become scarlet witch, that’s for sure. And while the details may have been different, emotionally, her arc felt the same for me. Whether she was tricked or not, she ultimately turned heel, realized the error of her ways, and turned back to a good. At least in this film she “dies” to add something different. Idk, for me, it still felt repetitive. Sorry if you liked it better.
"Is it the one you used when you gave Thanos the time stone?"
The emotions in her voice and face is peak.
Spoken from someone who has visions of the future and can now peer into the multiverse.
She knew what time it was when she got her third eye.

MAN. Such great writing... I tell ya.
Just to let u know that isn't the only rule breaking strange did. Strange also messed with the multiverse in NWH which led to the villains appearing from other universe, aunt may death leading to everyone forgetting peter...reminding u of story continuity.

people : yup ! bad writing !
@@sarangnambiar8367 Techinically that was Peter's fault as he was the one who asked Strange to cast that spell to begin with.
It is a bit weird but basically after wanda vision she was using darkhold which corrupted her mind giving her visions of her sons in danger. That’s why she thought she had to keep them safe which other wanda could not. She wadn’t thinking clearly that’s the point. I mean the woman was already mentally unstable she created new reality and trapped people in there. In the end she realized she’s way too dangerous and decided to off herself. Best decision honestly.
This movie isn’t overrated, what's wrong with the people? The dialogues are outstanding
Wanda is a beast 😮 she purposely did the whole "u never told me her name did u?" Thing as a threat she coulda easily lied and said "i read your mind, or i had a vison of her and someone said her name" but nope she was like i want u to know its me mofo
This movie wasn't bad but it felt passionless like most of the post-Endgame MCU. This scene was one of it's stronger moments.
She can do ANYTHING, EVERYTHING WITH JUST WISHING IT.
But can't travel to another universe, lmao
She can but not physically, she's supposed to rule the universe, not universeS

I like how Wanda talked about Chavez the same way people talked about her.
It won't be Wanda that comes for her it will be the Scarlett witch

@@niraxlevi9930 ngl I don't think that's a good comparison at all😂
Wanda's line about Strange breaking the rules and being hailed a hero but her being demonized when she does it loses a lot of potency when you remember the number 1 fact that she's so conveniently ommiting: Strange broke the rules for the good of everyone. Wanda broke the rules for the good of none but herself.
Whereas Strange's actions benefited untold trillions, the only one to benefit from wanda's rampage was herself.
"That's what every mother does."

@@jacobmiller2663. Bro strange was against the idea of her using America chavez as her puppet. He wanted to save her as well as wanda from becoming even more evil. If strange had not intervened Wanda would have became a monster. Even a slight change in her plan and mood would make her mad and kill everyone. He understood the threat wanda possessed and decided to put an end to it whats wrong in that ?
There’s a bizarre and scary morality emerging from some of these marvel films and series. Strange brushes aside the enslavement of people like “eh, it was nothing, you made up for it’.
