Adam Lambert has expert control over his instrument, producing notes that are well supported, and achieved via great technique. He is a master in using Belting! Adam is capable of singing complex melisma and is able to hold notes for periods of time without wavering in pitch or tone, seemingly effortlessly.
Adam is also a brilliant showman and is able to sing in any musical style.

@@northman1268 Er misst sich nicht mit Freddie Mercury. Er gibt jedem Song seinen eigenen Touch und singt keineswegs jeden Song wie Freddie. Das würde jemand tun der sich mit einem unmöglich zu covernden Entertainer "messen" will. Queen und Brian May machten meiner Meinung nach genau das Richtige und nahmen einen Sänger der sich sehr von Mercury unterscheidet aber dennoch eine super Bühnenpräsenz hat, einen eigenen Style und polarisiert. Nieman versucht Freddie Mercury zu ersetzen! Dass Queen das niemals machen würden allein um Mercurys Legende nicht in den Dreck zu ziehen sollte jedem vollkommen klar sein. Und... sind wir mal ehrlich. Adam Lambert ist von der Vocal Range und live Stimme allgemein sicherlich mit das Beste was es derzeit seit Jahren international gibt. Wenn sie Freddie Mercury versuchen (ich betone auch hier VESUCHEN denn dabei würde es bleiben) wollten zu ersetzen hätten sie damals keine offizielle Tribute Band gecastet sondern Marc Martel als Freddie Ersatz genommen denn dieser kommt sicherlich weltweit am ehesten an Mercury Stimme heran. Und sowohl Marc Martel als auch Adam Lambert haben eins gemein... sie sind rein technisch und stimmlich die besseren live Sänger. Freddie Mercury wird im Gesamtpaket immer unerreicht bleiben und er hatte eine unverwechselbare Stimme. ABER hört man sich live Auftritte von ihm an singt er viele anspruchsvolle Passagen live sehr abgeschwächt oder komplett anders. Damit will ich sagen Queen hat sicherlich in beiden Fällen richtig entschieden. Viele eingefleischte Queen Fans von denen ich keiner bin sondern eher ein objektiver Beobachter und Musikliebhaber gehen ja auch heute noch zu Queen Konzerten und kommen begeistert zurück eben weil Lambert anders ist aber in dem was er tut dennoch super. Die Nachfrage nach Queen live ist ja nach wie vor vorhanden. Also denke ich die beiden haben sich in erster Linie einen neuen Sänger gesucht weil die Fans sie weiterhin live sehen wollen. Und das erfolgreich. Ich weiß dass Freddie Mercury unter vielen Fans wie ein Gott verehrt wird. Aber vielleicht sollte man Queen mit einem neuen Sänger einfach mal weniger verbissen sehen und offen für neues. Queen mit Adam Lambert ist eine Ehrung der Legende von Freddie Mercury indem die Songs auch live weiterleben. Den Respekt und die Ehrfurcht vor der Legende Mercurys sieht man Lambert jederzeit an. Er weiß dass Queen größer ist als er. Das ist für mich das Wichtigste. :)
