It was no doubt for training purposes. Especially when you start off as a tricker. He’s a beast
@FichDich InDemArsch Not a whoosh.
LOLOLOLOL, very well said.
Impressive video, so many years of consecutive footage shows the dedication.
he's a bloody strong bloke, that one.
Aye
Simple as
His relationship with that sketchy squat rack lasted longer then any of mine
EVERYTHING this man does is with absolutely perfect form. No half reps here. Absolutely amazing
*cuts to pull-ups
*cuts to squats which are bouncing squats
@@Ceogr Ive seen videos of him doing 300 kg pause squats.
@Warrior Nothing wrong with bouncing a squat.
@@USMCLP Wrong
hearing clarence grunt is one of the most eargasm things ever
When I was 13, I was fat and playing Runescape in my house, while Clarence was out there doing flips and one arm pushups...
me at 26
Hahaha now you’re 23 and you’re still playing RuneScape and weak
is that a 13 year old you in your profile picture
I can't imagine snatching 300+ at age 17. I was barely deadlifting that at that age. Amazing strength.
At 17 I could deadlift 360. No clue how he was snatching that. He's an absolute beast, peds or not
my classmate never hit the gym, we went gym after school with a group of friends. Just for fun. Believe me or not he deadlifted 140kgs without even trying ( his first deadlift ). He was 14 at the time LOL. At that age he weighted around 85kgs and height about 1.85.
85 kgs and 1.85 is kinda muscular (or just fat), but anyway it's impressive
I always tell myself I'm Clarence Kennedy before my 95kg squat set.
I laugh my ass off at your comment since I can relate 😥
@@ada0015 I love that you both have yourselves (presumably) showing off your backs as your profile picture.
@@verified_tinker1818 I'm not as jacked tho :(
And I do the same before doing my 80kg squats.
I do it at my 60 kg squats while my knees feel like breaking
Me motivaste a seguir mejorando sin rendirme gracias
I don't think clarence genuinely uderstands the severe impact he had on people. This man is literally the reason I squat ATG no matter what.
This tbh. I picked up weightlifting and and resistance training because of this man. He's legit my role model
Me too. I switched from low bar squats to high bar ATG
I watched that triple body weight squat in 2011 and haven’t missed a week since. That and the Pat Mendez 800 squat.
I’m a rugby player so it wasn’t even useful for me to be going atg but I would do it anyway lol
Hell, after the Gyms in my city were allowed to reopen I was already watching so many of Clarence's squats, snatches and clean and jerk videos. He's also the reason why I've stopped skipping leg day. I even resurfaced my old highschool tanktops so I could look like him.
My squats and bench presses are below average for someone of my weight (209lbs/94kg) so this video helps me realize that no one could just squat 250kg first try.
If it means blowing a couple of discs in my lower back then be it, I'm going ATG babby 😂
This guy turned from ninja assassin to Hulk to Ninja Hulk 😳 crazy transformation, massive respect to him
Legend says he is still making novice gains till this day !!
Incredible how his progression happened to rapidly ! Huge jumps within weeks of each other. Pr’s on Pr’s at such an early age. Bloody Brilliant.
He made a commentary about this video on his patreon. The content I’ve been searching for finally reveals itself.
For anyone wondering even the $1 donation is totally worth it. The music is great but the commentary is what makes it gold.

@@veilard3469 very strange as everywhere i read that working out with free weights is very safe as long as you do it correctly, and for sure Clarence knows the technique.
@@quand_meme It is, but when you progress to weights that heavy, it’ll definitely start to put strain on your body.
Not enough dubstep and shirtless mirror selfies!
True, but don't forget the important part of transformations, first using some random pictures at the beach and then suddenly some images where you're flexing, pumped up and good lightning.
@@JasM3dia Bruh, very fucking transformation video.
Megadeth and a white Primark vest. Who needs more?
webapp31 truly 💯% my bro
The most amazing thing is that his knees still function.
Ask him on his 40's
Given that he strengthened them since he was 12 I would be surprised if they didn't. If you don't stress/load your joints (the proper way of course) they get weak and you'll end up with injuries, it's not the contrary.
You shouldn't squat all the way down so your butt touches your calves, as he does. But you're right in so far as that we should strenghten our muscles if we are to practice any sport.
And his back
Because his form is excellent. It’s no surprise!
You inspired me to being weightlifting and I just maxed clean and jerk @160 and I was so happy, thank you
Clarence Kennedy is the definition of “built different”.
What a journey. Really puts into perspective how long some of us have been watching you, lmao. Keep smashing it, mate! 🙏🏼💯
Just like a Rocky training montage, you know he'll win because he's training somewhere raw and grungy

search up jackson Powell squatted 936 i think for a double today at 18 yrs old, different story then Clarence cause jackson is a PL and superheavy weight but still its fucked
This was some incredible stuff. Full range of motion. Day in and day out from one level to the next. This is art. An art. The art. Push it to the limit good sir and godspeed.

everytime I see the name "clarence" I recall this goddamn line...
This video actually inspires me
Its really cool that you had the presence of mind to start filming yourself at a young age not really knowing the athlete you would become
Think he mostly did it for the form check
Trickers and parkour atheletes always filmed.
Damn man..this is the perfect example of perseverance, consistency and dedication 💪
I think Derek from mpmd hit the mark. The foresight to literally record everything for like a decade was a cash money move
It was no doubt for training purposes. Especially when you start off as a tricker. It's a really important part of progressing, because the way you think you look while performing a trick is different from the real thing. To perfect your form, you need to know what you look like. He didn't want to stumble through getting form right, he made sure he was improving his form objectively by reviewing every training session.
Plus no one would care if you were shit even after 15 yrs
Seriously impressive stuff mate. Well done!
He was stronger at 12 than I will ever be in my whole life.
You can be now
Just lift them weights👊🏼
With that kind of thinking , you are probably right.

Someone send this to Joe Rogan so we can get Clarence on the JRE podcast please.
This would be awesome
He's so short with his answers in general it'd be weird.
Clarence is too socially awkward for that
Can't imagine Clarence high af with Joe talking bout elk meat, but would pay pretty penny to see that...
