Great tips Scott!!! My friend and I got on them this morning fishing a drainage pipe. They were stacked up! They were chewing!!! All this rain turned them on!!!
Hey Scott, if you noticed a crazy dude swinging past you on 74-West in a gold Buick a week or so ago and giving you a hang ten, it was me. I was kind of fanboying and had to check to see if it was you. Keep up the good work. Tight lines!
Hi Scott! Great tip video, I liked the second part but would have loved a lot longer and clearer shots of the sonar to see what you are talking about. You reference stuff quite a few times on the screens but it's impossible to see what you're talking about. I find learning the sonar has been a lot more difficult to get a good grasp on than the tackle portion, would be nice to focus on that aspect with really clear sonar examples. I know it's a pain but you can record segments and maybe the Great Bearded One could splice some of that in to a future tips video. God bless!
Recently moved to Florida and fishing the Harris Chain. This is probably the best instruction I have gotten so fair. I love your channel. Keep up the good work. Now if I can just get the proper graph settings to find shell beds.
Ok when the fish hit right at the boat and scared you is hilarious! I've watched that I don't know how many times and it cracks me up. Great video though, keep them up!
Tip within the Tip within the Tip love you Scott you rock. my black and blue chatter is set up with the crawl too. I was wrecking the bass with it a few weeks ago.
Hey Scott thanks for the tip videos. After this weekend dealing with hurricane Harvey and losing all my fishing gear. 😣 this honestly makes my day. Thanks brother.
I really love the 7' TCS I got. I'll use a chatterbait and top toads on it too, but mainly use jigs and Texas rigs for it. Biggest bass on that sucker was a 5lb11oz Chunk!
Really liked when you had a good close up of depthfinders. Would love to see a video of looking for deep fish with a lot of depthfinder shots. Enjoy your videos
There a rock pit where I am and its around 3-10 deep and it's all grass bed now me and my fishing buddies got some nice ones there but lost many bigger ones. now myself I been having a little trouble this summer catching any goods one out the grass so this video shines a little light for me for one need to change the trailer on my chatter bait but any suggestions on any other good baits or you can just come thru and fish with us show us how's done that been pretty awesome. 😁
Scott, or anyone I guess. I live in South Dakota and fish for bass a lot but we have different grasses than what I see in most of UA-camrs videos.. I have been trying to find out if there's a certain type of grass I should be fishing or if mossy spots will hold bass too? I have fished with senkos and chatterbaits but have yet to catch anything on them too.
Yo Scott just got my notification from the g.o.a.t... your dad's rocking the p.e coach shorts for Xmas get him a little longer looser fit wouldn't want his secret weapon flying out on UA-cam. Lol we finally got some rain hope the Roland Martin tournament goes well
Hey Scott, I fish the Kissimmee chain and I need some tips for fishing pepper grass and reeds. Theres a spot near my dock where the main lake meets a reed line, the section of main lake is thick with pepper grass for about 50 yards out(4-5ft depth) and half a mile along the reed line. I see bass bust in the pepper grass all the time, and hear huge ones in the reed but I can't get them to bite. Ive only caught one on a frog and thats after I anchored down(in the pepper grass/main lake facing the reeds) and casted towards the reeds for 2 hours. Any tips would help thanks.
Hey scott, I'm coming down to okeechobee in a couple months and was wondering if your 7'3 Okuma tcs would be able to flip a 1.5 oz weight into mats? Also I have never fished the lake before and was curious what parts of the lake have the best mats for flipping?? Thanks Scott!
How do you fish if you show up to a lake and it has a lot of black "snot" grass floating in it and covering all the brush and bottom? I had this happen to me and I was lost on how to choose baits as everything came back covered in the black nasty stuff. But other people caught them as it took 21lbs to win the tournament.
Mike Lanning I feel your pain brother, a lot of the lakes here in nc have that crap in it. I try to avoid it and find rocky areas were it cant grow. Chatterbaits and shallow square bills are the only thing I can get through that and only sometimes will it come through. I have yet to catch a fish around that crap so I just avoid it like the plague.
Bass Matters I am in nc and really struggle when I face this mess. Thanks for the information. I need any help I can get. I was surprised when people were weighing in limits and I struggled so much!
Mike Lanning Tuckertown reservoir is the worst for black algae (snot grass). We had a tournament there in February and we all did pretty good. There were a couple 18lb bags weighed in that day. I fished from the back of a boat and had 13lbs so I dont think it hurts the fish much its just got to find that hard bottom. The lilly pad stems that were submerged still is were the big sacks came from. Lake norman has black algae now also:(
Bass Matters Tuckertown is where I was talking about. I caught a few on some rip rap but even that had the black stuff hanging off the tree limbs. I have not been to Norman recently. Is the stuff a over Norman now?
I think so! I tried it in practice on the potomac last week. Since everyone throws a swimjig and a chatterbait, I thought it would show the fish something a little different. Not a single bite. Just stuck with the chatterbait and a worm for the tournament.
So could the guy that was killed recently near me...at least according to his family he could. It's just kinda hard TO swim when you get knocked unconscious.
Where cause of death was known, 80% of fatal boating accident victims drowned. Of those drowning victims with reported life jacket usage, 83% were not wearing a life jacket. I mean...statistics don't lie. Look it up yourself.
4:44 Hilarious!! Everyone has had a bass scare the crap out of us. more great info thanks Scott
I think chatter bait needs to go ahead and sponsor you too lmao. great tip vid Scott
Chatterbaits have become my favorite 24/7 365 bait. Paired with any color Vilecraw, it's a killer combo for any large fish. (Flatheads love them).
they are just so easy, fun, reliable, and consistent
Great tips Scott!!! My friend and I got on them this morning fishing a drainage pipe. They were stacked up! They were chewing!!! All this rain turned them on!!!

Recently moved to Florida and fishing the Harris Chain. This is probably the best instruction I have gotten so fair. I love your channel. Keep up the good work. Now if I can just get the proper graph settings to find shell beds.

Had a bass (maybe a pike) scare the crap out of me on Lake Geneva a few weeks ago. Completely understand!
4:43 when my mom says the hot pockets are ready
Tip within the Tip within the Tip love you Scott you rock. my black and blue chatter is set up with the crawl too. I was wrecking the bass with it a few weeks ago.
Great vid scott
Great tips scott
Yeah maybe a whole video on just sonar. Because figuring out how to use the sonar is a real pain in the bass. I would love some education on that👍😁👍
P.S. awesome video
Thanks so much! Can't wait to get on the lake and try your tips.
Headed to Toledo Bend next month and will be looking for submerged grass and surely will try these techniques...

Excellent breakdown!
great insight into whats happening out there Thanks !
I really love the 7' TCS I got. I'll use a chatterbait and top toads on it too, but mainly use jigs and Texas rigs for it. Biggest bass on that sucker was a 5lb11oz Chunk!

Hi Scott love your videos. i was wondering what the name of the air vent that you have in your live well lids
Yo Scott just got my notification from the g.o.a.t... your dad's rocking the p.e coach shorts for Xmas get him a little longer looser fit wouldn't want his secret weapon flying out on UA-cam. Lol we finally got some rain hope the Roland Martin tournament goes well
+Kevin flabouyfishing that was funny..I need to talk to him about that..😂
When will you practice the Harris chain in lake county Florida
Thanks for the tips. My bayou has a grass bed probably the size of a football field. Would a popper or a walking bait work over this area.
I prefer a 6'9 or 6'11 MH fast action for my chatterbait and spinner bait. What action and power do you suggest?
You should try some commando tackle company tomahawks. There the best chatterbaits out there
videos are awesome.
have any of your hats for sale??
How would you fish that with a worm, Caroline, Texas, wacky, weighted, un-weighted?
The power poles work in 4 1/2ft of water? How far they go down?
Scott might have crapped himself when that fish hit😂
What rod would you recommend for crankbaits?
i was wondering the reason why you don't run a foot throttle?
How about under spinners baits?? Love these baits but haven't caught much on them.
Come to muscle shoals , al. Let's go fishing
Are there low, and high tides even in fresh water?
Goat
Where can we get one of your sponsor covered lucky fishing shirts? Maybe you couldput up some signed ones on eBay
Lol, random thought. Remember when Brandon tripped over the fishing line and drove that trokar hook into perics hand....
You need to come up to beaver lake. In Arkansas and let me fish with you! 👍🏽
Kevin Amezcua I'll be going to Arkansas for work and bringing my bass boat, is it a good lake?
Fished in the deeps of that lake and caught a big striper. How's the bass fishing?
KansasFishing101 exellent, fish points for big smallies.
Ahhhh ok. Thanks
Scott you should come fish in South Africa
leon Venter I've always wanted to go to South Africa to fish
If you are in South Africa you should come to the northern part it is considered as the hunting capital of SA an the fresh watter fish capital.
Were those rods MH or H action?
Plz make a boat tour
I always thought a wacky rig was the best to drop on this grass beds

Just out of curiosity how many anglers actually have 3 different kinds of graphs that can actually fish this way?
Scott, just curious why you don't use a hot foot?
Ben Norwood he does
Lol when they blow up that close and scare you, happens every now and then.
That first fish that jumped was on wasn't it!?
I agree, as slow as you can go.
ACDCRD i have it... its good for flipping up to 3/4 ounce I'd get a heavier one though if you want to flip mats
Chatter Bait! Won Acadamy Award for best Bait ever!

Mike Lanning Its not as bad on norman but I have found it from 150 bridge all the way down to the dam. A lot of my good stumps were useless now.
👊🏼
Why doesn't the old Johnson silver minnow spoon work anymore?
Wil D somebody emailed all the fish and now they know

Dude. Flotation device when you run the big motor!
He can problem swim

Connor Skornia look at the you tube videos of guys getting thrown out of bass boats.... you get tossed and get knocked out...... r.i.p
Man... where is the chest cam?
I'll watch this again after I go get $8000 worth of electronics.
