Any shonen fan that is not prepared for miracle death survivals hasn’t been a fan for very long.
Im not happy either, but This is not gonna ruin the manga.
Also Noelle will be the tsundere that can't confess her feelings for a lot longer, don't kid yourself. Thats just how generic shonen shows like fairy tail and black clover work. Regurgitation is key.

tbh when Noelle said "Because of magic, reality can be whatever we want", my brain kinda opened up. My tunnel vision kind of restricted myself to thinking magic was just the power system of the show, but these newest chapters have shown what the magic in Black Clover is. Literally magic, making the impossible, plausible.
@Just Trolling! considering there is curse spells that can steal mana from others and trap magic that can absorb spells and re-send it at double the power, it might actually be possible for a commoner to reach royal level.

Remember in the beginning of the series how magic had a limit you know if you get too tired or if you do something to your body it can do it irreparable damage no apparently you can skip all that.

But just straight up just bringing back the dead and reality warping that's trespassing in the territories of marvel comics in the words of soul eater A sound mind lives in a sound body if you can improve your body and improve your body's durability and strength then you know you can handle bigger and better spells. But just reality warping that's just meh that's not fun I'm not saying that you can't do it but you have to do it in a clever and costly way.
Don't forget the life Tree spell From Captain of the Golden Dawn brought Yuno back from death stupid to think another plant magic user who heals couldn't do the same grow up. I love the series let the writer do the story telling an enjoy the ride.

Tbh I'm not surprised, if you watched fairy tail, remembered after makarov used fairy law that drained his life and after all the crying and speech about loving his children only for him to be turned to stone, or one piece when hyogoro said he was going to die after the virus brought him to his prime form, I wasn't shocked when gaja didn't die

Lol So apparently everyone is mad that the character who's whole power was healing used her ultimate power and healed people who were on the brink of death .... I'd say that's a good thing when everyone was getting to show that their training wasn't useless especially if you wanna go from rill to mimosa its okay for rill to be able to make it impossible for someone to die during his spell but everyone is supposedly up in arms that a healer healed 3 gravely injured people lol
Right? She used Ultimate recovery magic. Like sure I was slightly disappointed, but it made perfect sense since it was Mimosa's Ultimate magic.

The problem is not what actually happened, but what the chapter made it seem like. It seemed like at least Gaja would certainly die, so when Mimosa just healed him like that it felt not like what should happen.
Thats the problem with loading but not firing Checkhovs Gun.
Something that would have made the healing a little more tolerable is if Gray was also there. Gray to replace missing bits and Mimosa for healing. Not a full heal either but stabilizing. That would have worked better, at least for me.
Yeh it also makes the power balance better because literally only one Dark Triad is lef, so atleast take some characters out to make it tuffer.
I think everyone being revived was a bit too far. I think it would’ve been better if Mimosa was able to keep them all from dying but they’re still critically hurt and injured would’ve been a better choice
I honestly don't get how people didn't see it coming, it was bound to be Mimosa or Grey who was gonna save everybody. Don't know why so many people was claiming Gaja death lmao, when we seen Mimosa healing people the whole series and Grey arcane magic completely rebuilt Gauche tissue when he got stabbed sooooooo..... I noticed that Mimosa was wearing a crown on her head making her the queen of plant magic. I think she would be represent Titania the queen of the fairies due to her wings and kind presence.

Don't really care, I mean I kinda expected something like this. We have a healer and someone who can control/change fate along with a guy who has the power of time. So yeah it's within expected parameters if you think about it. Also, everyone should have gotten stronger and trained up. So this is just showing the growth of even minor characters have in the series and that to me is a good thing. Too many Anime and Manga typically only show the main hero or cast growing no much on the minor characters.
I personally don’t see why everyone is so upset with this chapter. As you said everything makes sense. Since her introduction Mimosa has always been a gifted healer and we knew she was with Noelle learning UM. So why is everyone so shocked she had an ultimate healing spell? I’ve even seen people call it an ass-pull when it literally fits within the continuity. I’ve only been a fan since earlier this year so I wonder if people had this same outrage with Vanessa and her OP ability to alter fate.

I think this says a lot of current culture and people that they don't stop and think, use their brain, before reacting.

He clapped him with simple division and everyone called it an ass-pull. Asta claps an ancient demon and 2 high ranking devils in the same day but no one complained since he’s the MC.

Vanessa literally has reality warping abilities, but this is controversial for mimosa who has been a healer from the very beginning to level up and be a better healer.
Plus a lot of characters in black clover villains and heroes alike have op magic with well established limitations, but mimosa healing three people is somehow overboard when it comes to healing characters.
Dante basically would've died dozens of times if it wasn't for his flesh magic that literally reformed his entire body

Ok so no one died in this chapter and counts as a controversy. I think that's stupid sure I don't like it but to count it as a controversy is way over the top
Yeah I was wondering what controversy I missed, I read the chapter when it came out.
Usually in storytelling like this you bring people back from the brink of death like this so when you end up killing someone significant it hurts even more. I wouldn't be surprised if no one dies (it's freaking anime) but also can see someone very significant dying at the end.
It would only be controversial if things played out by the event itself not making sense with the rules of the world established.
The thing is nothing in the chapter was wrong, literally everything made sense. This isnt a controversy.
It's a controversy cause gaja grimore was destroyed so tht means he should be dead which was one of the rules but tht rule was broken even julious had 1 page left and the time consuming mark tht explained his revival then lastly having the power to revive ppl on mass like tht completely ruins all stakes and urgency in the manga cause now we always know tht noones gonna get hurt or die the only way this could be worse is if it revealed that nemosa also revived all her other no name allies tht died even anime uproar who always stay positive notice this is one of the worse chapter just because of how it will affect the manga going on

Even after he used his attack on Megicula he was still alive; he was dying. Rill allowed him to live longer with his Valhalla spell, which made enough time for Mimosa to heal him.
If he was dead his book would've been gone and he wouldn't have been able to be healed by Mimosa's spell.
Gaja's book was only burnt to a crisp just as he was. If it was already "destroyed" (completely disintegrated) from his own attack on Megicula he wouldn't have been able to use any spells even after Rill prolonged his life.
He was using magic after all of that because he never died, the grimoire mearly represented his well being at the time.
No rule was broken.
That's the issue "no one died" and if BC keep it up it will be another FT where character can't be killed atleast FT is still enjoyable especially the manga if BC can make that happen like FT I'm okay with it's just this chapter is really dissapointing and don't even start by saying that OP is the same OP is different

We don't know the consequences of Mimosa's spell, she was full powered and even though we see Gaja normal, it very well colapse in any moment (having been saved but barely). Also probably Mimosa is out now, or at least I hope so because if not the stakes go way lower. Lastly, we still have Xenon who could kill Langris and he has no way to recover

They weren't sitting there crying and wishing for them to be saved, Loro didnt gain new magic and saved them with her tears or anything,
Gaja, Rill and Charlotte were Healed with Mimosa's recovery magic; her ULTIMATE MAGIC at that.
Yeah disappointment is one thing but to be genuinely upset is foolish, literally makes sense for Mimosa to be able to heal their wounds.
This isn't an ass pull, the characters used their heads and thought logically. Which is why Nacht was asked to go get Mimosa; a girl with incredible recovery magic.
Seems everyone forgot that Vanessa literally changes fate with her magic, how is a recovery mage saving people who are dying (not dead) controversial.

Rill and Charlotte didn’t have any life threatening wounds so it wasn’t reviving them. They ran out of mana and stamina. Mimosa finally got her power up. She is only good at recovery magic so I can understand why she has this power now. What they should have done was make it where Mimosa kept Gaja alive long enough for him to confess to Loro and then he slowly disappears
Captain of the Golden Dawn brought yuno and most of the Golden Dawn Back seems Plant based magic is healing to the Max Life tree spell for example so why all of a sudden this a big deal did they miss the chapter when that happened? An I fully agree with you :)

Noelle going into tsundere mode is disappointing but at least it’s somewhat different then her usual one,she never ones said she was embarrassed around asta,but ultimately I’m glad we’re finally getting into the zenon fight.
I understand people hate the fact that Gaja is alive, but this is not the first time a magician has managed to heal the vital energy. This has already been shown in the elves' arc with Charla healing the Yami's life energy

I think they should add some limitations in mimosa's ultimate plant magic like maybe she can only do it trice a year or once in a life time or maybe if she uses it her life force is decreasing
Gaja ain’t play no games with his confession my man got straight to the point but I still worry of Megicula somehow manifesting her body in a different way through some other means. Tbh its not outlandish based on the set up they had to learn “ultimate” magic if mimosa learned Ultimate Magic only for it to do a half ass job of healing someone then it wouldn’t be “ultimate” but I can definitely understand the frustration especially since the story could go on without Gaja
Yeah, I guess Mimosa needs to have limitation as well even with her ultimate plant magic. Healing back people from the brink of the dead just makes it absurd.

I agree with that. Like, even with the battle against Zagred, Licht didn't use the Ultimate Magic against him again (granted, it had been the Elves' Mana pooled into the attack), but even so, Licht should have had more Ultimate Magic spells. Maybe they can only cast one spell for a certain amount of time? Or there's some other drawback, but yes, it was an interesting way to keep key figures still on the battlefield. I was really happy to see how far Mimosa had come, and that she had managed to unlock another healing spell that was so powerful.
It's probably gonna be like magnas ability where it takes several months to charge up
I may have not read the whole story, but I do know something: just because Noelle accepted, acknowledged and embraced her love for asta, it doesn't mean she can just say an "please be my boyfriend, I'm in love with you a lot" so easily, I think dear old yuki is just trying to be realistic here. She still possibly fears to look pathetic and weird in front of her crush if she confesses to him and neads to learn when to approach, how to approach and where to approach. Not to mention asta is not the perverted kind of protagonist. He literally declined peeping into the girls bathroom. It's more like an unfortunate oopsie.
For BC to " redeem himself" I would actually like that a major character like vengeance die, vengeance doesn’t really have much character development left and also it would make it so yuno could actually become captain so it would give asta even more reason to work hard etc

It is controversial for sure, but lets just see how the story goes from here, maybe Tabata is just lowering our guard down for some other major events in the future of this arc, maybe Megicula might not be truly dead idk, either way Black Clover is not the only Shonen to have this type of controversy (Fairy tail, DBZ) and it probably/hopefully will correct some of its mistakes in the future (Keep believing).
Plus, as AnimeUproar has mentioned people like some major villains (Zagred, Lilith, Namaah) and some important side characters (Lemiel, Richita, Acier) and minor characters (Deceased Golden dawn members like Siren and Hamon) have indeed died in the past or present in Black clover, so lets just be patient and maybe Tabata might shock or surprise us with future events since he sometimes tends to be unpredictable like Oda, this is not going to permanently ruin the manga so stay safe and strong Black Clover fans.
There was a limit for Vanessa's Red thread of fate spell to stay active such as draining a very large amount of manna until it needs time to be used again ,so there probably will be some sort of limitation for ultimate magic spells that might be revealed later on in the manga. (e.g Very large amounts of mana being used, can be countered by other spells or high ranking devils at full power, once per battle usage idk)
If you want to talk about actions with little to no consequence, people constantly getting revived and characters not staying dead permanently be it past or present characters, and extremely OP powers with very little limitations, just look at DBZ as a prime example. (DBZ is a great anime/manga franchise but you know exactly what I mean so lets not criticize Black Clover too much and see how the story progresses from here and hope for the best upcoming fights and action.)

Honestly im surprised this chapter would garner such ill feelings. Noelle makes sense, this is her first time liking someone and not knowing what to do. Mimosa's ult. magic being a super heal is the only logical thing that would happen, she is hyped up being a pro at healing and could already heal near fatal injuries anyways, so why is it a surprise that her peak ult. spell would heal to that capability.
Also the lack of character deaths at the moment is honestly fine. It just means we get to see more cool and dynamic combo spells and team ups from a wide pool of characters. Plus we get to see their stories continue and unfold instead of being fringed for the sake of tension and shock value.
Unless death ties to the themes of the story, i think it should be used sparingly for when it makes the most sense for the character and not as a means to artificially add tension or to make another character have more depth as a result.
Wouldn't it be interesting that Gaja is still going to die because his grimoire was destroyed, but the healing just prolonged the inevitability a little bit longer. Maybe just long enough for the Heart Queen to have an heir.
We'll have to wait and see, but I was going off what we know so far

Rill's spell ended a few seconds so them not dying instantly makes sense

i mean like if the battle goes on and she still uses that "ultimate healing plant magic" then the toll of healing others is her own life right? that would make a lot of sense for me.

The only dissatisfaction I was left with this chapter was megecula, honestly I get it took a lot of stage one and higher users but I wasn't expecting megecula to be destroyed faster than zagred and zagred was up against 0 stages and higher

Facts, Vanessa wasnt even using Ultimate magic to pull of such feats. Mimosa didn't resurrect them from the dead, she healed them with the use of "Ultimate Magic".

In the senerio of this chapter all it took for them to be saved was a simple thought "bring a recovery mage here" which Luck thought to do. This chapter has more logic to it than people are giving credit to just because they want things to play out differently.
People are acting like Tabata made a logic error.
Actually I think it's just youtubers echo a small but load minority, most comments I've come across so far have been ppl saying they were fine with the chapter or were withholding any final judgement till after the arc has finish.
There also happens to be this massive juggernaut of a series that has only killed two/three characters anyone actually cared about (btw flashback's don't count) and those had the bare minimum of screen time but held up as if a character they knew from the start was just lost and ever other "death" has been fake outs but you don't see people and more in particular youtubers making videos about how "fans mad" but instead they worship the ground it walks on(I kinda love this series as well 🤗) so why freak out and echo a very small section of "fans" instead of waiting to judge something as a whole, I mean look at bc from the start to the elf arc everything but the dungeon arc built up towards that and even the dungeon arc a bit because asta gets his second sword there. Again pre elf arc the same small minority was saying "bc sucks etc.." but then the elf arc and everyone even the hard core haters had to praise it. So maybe just maybe let the story build up just like what so many people say about the other series I brought up as my example. Sorry for what will likely seem like a ramble but I guess my main point is Bc has met the mark every time it's needed to and imo this chapter kinda felt like the "calm before the storm" I saw some else point this out in a comment elsewhere but the first chapter of this arc is call the "beginning of hope and despair" so this might be part of that "hope".
A healer from one of the top guilds, healing people with her most powerful spell who just were out of mana and stamina (not actually on their death beds). People who are upset are beyond my understanding.
I expected gaia to die or have one last hear say but oh well. I guess this is good for now, plus charlotte has an unresolved love plot so i knew she would survive. Don't be upset, its fits within the universe. Maybe the guy with yuno might die.
I get where your coming from, but let’s not forget that Gaia gave up his LIFE ENERGY for that fight. That’s not something that should be so easily replaceable. I understand Charlotte and Rill, but Gaia should be dead.

I mean if the villains are smart they go after mimosa first. Once she’s down or out of magic the fight becomes fair again. Its not like she’s invincible.

People seem to have forgotten that Fana(Human) survived back at the beginning when her grimoire fused with Mars when he thought he supposedly killed her, and that was why she couldn't use any of her magic, so it wasn't impossible for someone to survive without a grimoire. Now for those saying but then why was she able to use salamander and cast fire magic back when she still possessed by Fana(Elf), and I will it was because Fana(Human) wasn't in the driver seat of her body, and that when Fana(Elf) left Fana(Human)'s body she became incapable of performing any spells, as well as not being able to control Salamander...
Also, Megicula had some pretty overpowered abilities and took Charlotte and Rills who were already exhausted from fighting Vanica, Gaja who died by sacrificing himself, got brought back to life, only to die shortly after the fight concluded, Nozel, Noelle, Luck and a temporary nerfed Asta to defeat her and Vanica, as well as a brainwashed Loropechika and preventing Loropechika's curse from activating any further. so I think for the battles to come the clover,heart, and elf kingdom forces are gonna need every ally they can get, so I was fine with them bringing Gaja and Rills back...and Charlotte was obviously gonna survive because she still needs to confess her feelings to Yami..., but I will admit it was a very rushed way to go about doing it.
Also, I love how the fights with the dark Triad started with Yuno vs. Zenon, and will now end with Yuno vs. Zenon.
Honestly I’m okay with mimosa being OP in this sense. Shes like Orihime from bleach, no one expected her power to be this powerful. If this dude Dante can come back from the dead millions of time, why can’t our main characters??
Double standard. It happens in every fan base. The villain can keep coming back, break the rules they established because they lied, and fight main character even though they want the same thing.
But if it's the heroes, God forbid if they survive a difficult battle.

Mimosa is literally Black Clover's version of Izanagi, a walking, living, "You become immortal, you become immortal, EVERYTHING BECOMES IMMORTAL!"
But, that's not even true either. If Mimosa is not there to heal, they could still die. And her power to heal doesn't make them immortal either. If the magic knights even began to think they were because of that, that would be arrogant and reckless.
I personally didn’t feel like this save felt like an asspull. Gaja stayed alive cuz of rills spell long enough for mimosa to get there.

I don't know if it's an asspull technically because we know Mimosa always had healing powers, but it seems to be a Jumping the Shark moment.

I like this chapter. Glad Gaja didn’t die and finally told Loro-chan is loves her! I figured Mimosa would show up heal everyone after all is really the only Healing Mage we know of who is powerful and learn to us Mana Method plus Ultimate Magic. Also I think the reason Undine is so small cause like Noelle she end up using all her Mana do to using Saint Stage Spirit Dive since Spirit’s bodies and very existence is made purely from Mana. Of course I think it would be possible for Undine and Salamander to be able to change their size if they wanted to I mean Salamander seems to be living inside Fuegoleon’s arm or body.
I do have a few questions tho:
Where was Mimosa all this time before? Do she does already to head for where Vanica and Megicula was or stayed outside with the Rebel Soliders?
How many more Healers will we get who can heal any and all wounds?
Can Mimosa heal curses too Even if The curse hasn’t created by a devil but a human?
Does this new spell Mimosa has allow her to restore mana too?
Did she not heal Nacht? (cause his arms still look beat up?
Will she allow Asta to use Devil union again?

First it is Gaja who confesses his love for Lolo...
Then Charlotte inspired by Gaja, as well as the fact that she could lose Yami, either confesses to Yami when he is saved, or in Yami's dying moments...
Seeing everyone confess their feelings, in such moments, where they all stand a chance at dying at any moment, Noelle finally pours her heart out to Asta.
At least i believe that will be the path Tabata will take.

I like that when Gaja first conversed with Lolopechika he was all prim and proper but when Noelle snarkily commented "That's all you're gonna say?" he went on to say the magic words that even Noelle wasn't expecting. Don't be surprised girl, you encouraged him.
Also like how Nozel was having an inner panic attack due to how he can talk to Noelle less harshly without fear of the curse now but he has no idea how to actually do so since he has been that way since as long as she has known him.
Now I see what everyone is saying about Mimosa BUT the thing is, this may have massive future chapter implications considering Nacht's surprise at Mimosa's recovery spell and Noelle saying magic let's people alter reality. Between Luck, Gaja, Noelle, Mimosa, Charmy, Leo, and Asta they are all able to disturb the natural balance of the world. I can imagine all this power coming to bite them back someday which was foreshadowed by Gauche's elf before Asta beat him.

Nah Noelle isn't going backward. Now that she fully realizes that she in love with Asta, now it takes time to admit that you do like this person.. Along with all the competition, she going to be against now.

I didn't outraged or got angry on Mimosa being a healing God. Because I never expected BC to be like that. Till now most of the cool bad guys have now become good. So...
But what irritated me the most is Noelle still acting like Tsundere.
I kinda hope that every time Mimosa uses her Ultimate Plant magic and heals more than one person at the same time, it cuts of some of her life span.

I just don't like the fact that Asta, Yuno, and Noelle have become stronger than captains. I mean it's way too soon for them to be at that level.
I've accepted the fact that nobody dies in BC but the insane power jump ruins the pacing.
In the best case scenario Noelle will return Undine, Yuno won't be able to access spirit of Boreas without belle condensing a stupid amount of mana, and Asta's devil union is only that op against demons.
Maybe mimosa's ultra-heal could just be power borrowed from the driad.
The only extreme power up that makes sense is magna's.
They are only strong because Yuno and Noelle have a spirit guardian. Im pretty sure Noelle temporary hold the water spirit. So hopefully after 304 Noelle wouldnt be as OP as a captain. Also Yuno holds the power of royal from the spade kingdom AND wind spirit which practical the same level as Fuegoleon.
i want asta to end up with someone other then Noelle because even if she confesses her feelings to him whenever she gets even a little uncomfortable she's going to go full tsundere mode. At this point it has become a cop out for any actual character development she could have with asta.
People are hating meanwhile me thinking this might be one of the best chapters lol
There has to be some type of stakes to make this chapter meaningful I think the hate is justified

@@ZarChasmOfficial yeah but no sacrifices or anything of the sort has been made that are significant. Gaja's "sacrifice" is pretty much a joke now cause he turned out alive when he should've most definitely been dead. Any emotional impact that scene had is all but gone now
