Thanks for sharing. I have the same vehicle. Read the manual about 4 low Best wheeling “mod” is good use of tire pressure. A good compressor that clips onto the battery and a decent pressure gauge will go a long way. That said, 31” AT’s on stock wheels are an easy upgrade without getting involved
Most wranglers since early 2000s have what’s called the brake lock differential. When the open differential starts to spin the computer automatically applies brakes to the rear axle thus distributing power more evenly to both rear tires.
You're giving way to much credit to the amount of computer control on the TJs. These things are stupid in terms of electronics. That's why they're awesome.
I have a 2012 Liberty with Brake Lock Differential. It works awesome. The Hill Descent button has me spoiled. My 2003 Wrangler X has no traction control of any kind at all. Once a tire starts spinning, there goes all your torque. Just like this guy in the video.
I have a 2.5L, love the little banger! Modified for extra hp, loads of fun, but I avoid highways, haha p.s., should not be wheeling while holding a cellphone, especially with a manual.
BC Jr Aye, they sure are! It's all about traction, not sheer power. With lockers and good tires (30 to 31" stock suspension and wheels) you're ready to go anywhere 👍 Happy jeepin' !
@@alecpalacio1958 because it's a part time t case locking both axles together so when it's not able to slip (not on gravel or snow) it will bind up the t case and put stress on it. Not good.
Nice rig BC and a neat little video. Not too many out there with a non-modded base line Jeep. Just curious, have you done any mods to it since this video was made? If you did, what were they?
My nissan sentra can do tht. Dude u got a jeep don’t underestimate the capability. My 01 stock 2.5 auto tj with 28” street tires has been thru shit a fuul size chevy cant handle. Learn how to pick a line u can go anywhere u want
What about a basic thing, tires for example, i havent many experience in 4WD but logically that road is not for that tires, and viceverse. I have a basic model and those roads are not difficult with the adecuate tires.
Wow, his off road review consisted of driving up a dirt hill outside the subdivision on his drive home from class. That's...some quality youtube content right there. No, really, this is great! I hope he's getting paid top dollar. After seeing this, its clear the stock Jeep is just shit. My prius would have demolished that little hill!

Is this the comedy channel? You should be able to do those in 2WD.
TJ power!
only mod this needs is lockers. great little rig

Mods for extra hp? Like what?
Is this your first time wheeling a Jeep?
Clearly. This was kinda painful to watch.
Did you seriously just put that Jeep in 4 low on pavement and make a hard left? You don’t even know what kinda damage your doing there.
RV Prepared Yet? Why?

Is that because there is no center differential?
You beat the piss out of it to prove a point?
The more I see this, the more I want a straight stock tj that's never been abused.
I live in San Diego where this was filmed and I did this trail all the way to the top in a stock 2002 Toyota Tundra. This is kind of a joke.

What year is that ?
Hammer it!
How much extra would it have cost you to read the tire size on the tire sidewall and at least give us that much information?
What kind of lockers are you considering? I have an ‘06 X and have thought that the best upgrade would be lockers.
Hey brah, I know you're in the burbs but always with a buddy.
Maybe I heard wrong but I thought you said the disconnected sway bar gave you less Flex
My stock 4 banger 99 TJ can do that easily in 2WD. You gotta get some off road tires bro. I love my BFGs.

sry but i can do that hill with my 2 wheel drive regular joe suv
That’s nothing you don’t even need 4hi for that lol

This is as painful as watching video game journalists try to play new games.

I’m just impressed you would let UA-cam viewers know you own a prius. Someone needs to confiscate your man card. 👬
So I'm waiting to see this Prius go off road.
You are kidding right???? This is a joke right??? You are hilarious!!!!!!
