  • The great Taoist sage Zhuangzi has one of the most unique ways of viewing the world, which runs counter to conventional thinking. His revelation is based on the freedom one attains once we go beyond conventional standards of judgment and the illusion of good and evil. Once we understand this true freedom, we cannot be made to suffer again, no matter the situations or circumstances we encounter.

@@Axiomatic75 Yes, allowance is a simple path to follow, once you have found your way, but it is contrary to survival instincts and the ego. Navigating the mystical realm often provokes more questions than provides answers in the immediate. Acquiring the focus and patience is no simple task for a Westerner.

Instead of watching Jason’s videos I strongly advise you to put on a good pair of headphones, close your eyes, and imagine yourself in 1st person or 3rd person perspective watching the video on your phone. You will gain a much greater insight and awareness to what you learn.

No, I mean Qing. Jing is our genetic make-up from our parents in the Taoist Three Treasures philosophy. Qing, on the other hand, is part of Mohist logical theory used by Zhuangzi in the text.

Then why does a baby cry when it is born? No I'm sorry but suffering is not just conditioned. It would be unique to humans if that were the case. This smells of missing a number of finer points. I think he's talking about reducing suffering and learning to remove societal teathers that fuel it. He's not talking about being immune to it entirely. He'd be an idiot if he were.

Also taoists have a different view on what enlightenment is. They call it immortality. Also when they can be very figurative with what is birth or death.

There is suffering but the point is to realize there is no sufferer.
