Hi Linda, this is such a lovely contemporary pattern - I made one for my baby grandson 18 months ago and I'm currently doing one for my daughter's friend who is expecting her first baby in the summer. The pattern is easy to follow and the block design also keeps its shape after washing. I've used King Cole Baby Comfort DK for both.

I love this pattern. I do have a question about the rsf and wsf. When it says with wsf on row 24 do I keep doing wsf all the way till it says rsf on row 57?
I was hoping for a preview or a bit of a tutorial so I know exactly what I'm in for. I've knitted before but I'm not that good at reading patterns. Also, what is the color of the yarn used?
This is a simple blanket to knit. You just need to know how to cast on, work a simple knit stitch, a simple purl stitch and cast off. I have videos for all of these stitches. My patterns are also written so they are super easy to follow, with simple row-by-row instructions. I hope this helps :)
I am about done with the first section (all knit for 23 rows) on the rectangular baby blanket pattern. I am wondering how to tell which is the right and wrong side since they look the same on either side.
Hi Colleen It can be tricky to distinguish the right and wrong side of your work after the garter stitch border. If you look at your 1st knitted row, immediately after your cast on row, it should be a flat knit row. This is the front side of your knit. I hope this helps.
Hi Sobna That's a difficult question to answer as it depends how fast you area at knitting. The small blanket would take me about a week of evenings. I hope this helps.
Hello Linda. I just purchased this pattern from your Etsy shop. What do you mean in this video when you said “When you change your yarn (I recommend you do it here..)”?? New knitter here. Must one tie a knot when one ball of yarn runs out to start the next?”
There are various ways to add your new ball of yarn. I haven't made these videos yet but you will find some videos here on UA-cam. You can choose the technique that you like. I recommend that the change/new ball is added a few stitches in from the edge at the point where the garter border meets the main blanket. I find this is a discreet place as described in the video, and you don't have the change of yarn at the edge of your blanket, as this can be visible. I hope this helps.
