- Three years after an official report found 1,400 children had been the victim of sexual exploitation in Rotherham, two of the victims have waived their anonymity to speak for the first time on camera. They discuss the continuing impact on their lives, an ordeal which has continued even after some of the abusers have been given lengthy prison sentences.

Well Gordon Brown and the Home Secretary sent around a "circular" to the police telling them not to act. It said (not direct word for word mind) that "these kids are making informed decisions on their sexual behaviour" and that it shouldn't be part of the police's concerns. Unbelievable.

1400 victims and over 30 years of abuse starting from 1980s. Over 30 years, and no one found out before 2012. Was the entire council asleep? This sends shiver down my spine, so horrible. Absolutely disgusting. And you don't just jail such victims for 25-35 years, torture them every single day to an extent that they beg for their death...

If you are suspected of being involved in this type of crime, especially where underage girls are concerned, you will not be able to set foot where any one knows who you are again, you would be lucky if your own mother ever spoke to you again. With the Muslim grooming gangs they were all free to walk around their local communities, they could move back in with their families, they did not have to go into hiding. Social workers knew about this for years, and didn't even tell the police. Their attitude was as bad as the groomers. Not sure how many were in care. If anyone has children in care right now, please make the social workers do their job, and keep in close contact with them. Know your rights. Get legal advice and follow up with them. Be consistent. Mothers and fathers, but also extended family, sisters, aunties, grandparents. Grooming and trafficking, not just in Yorkshire, but the internet, everywhere is prolific right now. And social workers don't care.

In Man universities with large muslim students populations have their Islamic society, muslim girls student are using this society to groom first years lonely, susceptible students who are seeking to make friends. It is just terrible what is happening to young girls in the U. K. but has no one ever warned these girls about what happens to you if you go with older men in cars or to their homes. Where are these girls parents - not judging the girls or their parents, obviously under age girls = statutory rape by older men regardless of context, the men are the criminals, the girls the victims. But how do these men get close to these girls, what are they being lured with? How do they get access to groom them.
That's the whole point. These rapists make a point of targeting the most vulnerable girls. Girls who have no parents, no guidance, and no-one to look after them. The fathers are often not around, the mothers can't cope, the kids are taken into state care, and that's the final death knell. Many of the victims rather pathetically say: "He said he loved me. I thought he'd look after me." And because these kids needed this care and love, these monsters found it easy to abuse them. The whole thing's screwed up.
