Given the statistics they just put up, it is anything but 'inconclusive'. If Pakistanis make up 2% of the population, and Pakistani men are half of that, but make up 18% of grooming cases, that would mean Pakistani muslim men are massively more likley to commit such a crime than any other group.

This created loop-holes in the law. It also made it impossible for politicians, policy-makers and campaigners to monitor increases in sexual offences against children using criminal justice statistics. This policy paper represents the first major historical analysis of criminal justice statistics on child sexual abuse for a broad period of the twentieth century.

Very telling indeed that in the vast majority of these cases, the race/ ethnicity/ religion/ culture of the suspect was not even recorded. Then this report goes on to cite data about who is committing most of these crimes, AFTER admitting that the data is meaningless because of massive non-recording of facts. If the police aren't trying to protect the suspect, do they not record ALL THE FACTS that MIGHT be relevant? Since when is the race/ ethnicity/ religion/ culture of a GANG assumed to be irrelevant? I'd like to know which politicians ordered the police (unofficially, of course) to not record a suspect's race/ ethnicity/ religion/ culture if the suspect is Muslim. I also cannot believe that the Muslim leaders aren't aware of which men in their congregation are leading such a double-life, or could not pretty easily find out. If they wanted to clean the garbage out of their own midst and restore the reputation of those Muslims who are NOT involved in these crimes, they'd have long since worked hard at finding out who among them is guilty and turn them in to the police. I'm sorry for those Muslim men who are innocent but being viewed with suspicion, but they had best take that issue up with their own religious leaders first, whose blindness and inaction is part of the whole problem. A whole lot of people have been complicit here.
