Prepare to Get Loaded… on Impulse Responses!
IMPULSE is our first IR Loader. As always, we aim to give you guitar tools that support your playing rather than a degree in tech manuals. In short, it’s a Cab Sim and IR Loader, and just like we made tuning a breeze with POLYTUNE and looping simple with DITTO LOOPER, IMPULSE IR LOADER will make the complexity of working with impulse response files disappear. Simply drag and drop your IRs over USB or use the dedicated IR organizer for PC and Mac, then IMPULSE IR LOADER will take care of the rest and make you sound like the best.
I always enjoy your unique approach to classic songs. Always so refreshing to listen to, that sometimes I have to do a double take to see what the actual product is. Thank you. Regards from 🇿🇦
Love the way you play a tele. I've probably said that before.
Bought this awhile back, finally getting it on my church board, can’t beat the form factor & tones!
I've been using mine at church a coupe months ( 900 seater - ampless stage ) , right after my amp sim ( clean Fender ), and it translates So Good to FOH. My 2 favs are # 12 & # 4. * sometimes the 'input overload/peak' and/or the 'output overload/peak' indicators flash on peaks or high drive chords, but you don't hear anything negative. I just run my amp sim a tad lower, and the TC's knob no higher than 12:00-1:00, but that's patch dependent I think. Great Unit!!
@@9277707 Clean Fender amp sim, what pedal is it that you are using ?
This TC cabsim has IRs with an amp EQ profile integrated. Are those enough to avoid an additional clean Fender amp sim ?
Thanks for your feedback!!
@@tanguydelooz2881 I think you can just use the TC, after your pedals, straight to DI >PA, even just using one of the Celestion spkr/cab settings. I haven't tried that. As far as my "Fender amp sim", believe it or not, it's a '80's Boss DR880 drum machine, which has a guitar input, and a GT6 engine ( COSM ), I just tweaked & use one of the amp presets in it, that really sounds like a Fender clean amp. It sounded fine in the PA by itself, but the TC pedal made it even more realistic.
Curious as to how you’re getting on with this in church context? I used mine for the first time today with my Acoustasonic and it was excellent. Yet to try it with an electric but that’s the plan for the week ahead, once my reverb pedal is delivered.
@@slawsonscot no church today, but a NYE gig tonight. I'm using one of the amp&cab settings (I think the JCM 800 IR, #16 or #17?) & it's sitting just before my delay & reverb.
It's not been on my board as of late and I forgot that it had the combo amp settings. After a quick bench test with the impulse into a DAW, it's back on the board ready to go for tonight.
If this fits my needs tonight, I may look into finding (or making) IRs of my fender twin & Supro amp.
absolutely killer arrangement. cool tones too.
Great playing and tone
Great video - love the tones, the guitar and the playing. Thank you for sharing! Used this for the first time this morning with an Acoustasonic Player on the piezo setting, into the IR using BN15-300x and the global eq bass dropped down and it sounded fantastic. Been looking for a compact simple solution to go direct that could double up as an electric solution in a pinch too and this seems to be it. It would have benefitted from some reverb today so I’ll add that into the chain, but beyond that it was spot on.
to me this is a ‘nothin’ pedal, BUT your Nirvana arrangement is Everything that makes this video good.
Loving the beautiful Xotic XTC tele Man! 😁👍🏼 added with the TC Electronics and it's even more Amazing to listen to. Thanks for the video. 😊
Can you add acoustic IRs? Hmmm
Yes. LOTS of open slots to load all your own IR's.
Seeing as traditional cabs and speakers come after the amp, where would one place this in a signal chain, with an amp and the usual effects pedals? Obviously, with amp modellers, one could put it in the effects loop and place it wherever it sounds best to you.
I run ampless, so I run it after my amp sim., ie it's dead last, before a passive DI/XLR box, to the PA. My sim has no FX loop, so I have no idea how that would sound. fwiw
Nice heart shaped box!!!
Para mim não faz grande diferença comprar um pedal caro desses o que faz a diferença na realidade é o operador da guitarra e a guitarra em si
What is the delay the pedal adds to the audio signal in ms?
Chill, playboy. I only got some much moneys.
Sadly....this pedal doesn't have a wet/dry mix ;-( if you want to use IRs to improve the sound of acoustic instruments with pickups, then you may blend your raw sounds with the sound from the IR. The Line 6 Helix IRs have a wet/dry, and the Axe Fx III has this feature as well. IRs are for so much more than just amp/cab simulations. Buyer (acoustic musician) Beware!!
Are you using any sort of preamp on your board before the IRs?
