@@paulhancock3844 I take your point, and I know it doesn’t make for a great video visually. I’m not aware of too many marks that hold fish so the ones I do know I tend to keep it to limited view, I pretty much show the destination I’m going to anyhow. But as soon as anyone reveals a location with a catch ppl do tend to flock there.. look at cfon / belan / stables / penmon. So the few marks I have landed fish, unfortunately I feel the need to keep them somewhat covert.. it’s nothing new, as you know, the bass hunt is notoriously unrewarding and many blanks ensue lol. Hope you understand. 👍🏻
Possibly, although water does run there so that may pull the fly line round more than you’d want, and you’d want a fly to be able to hold itself at a certain depth. 👍🏻
I see your problem straight away! No sign of that certain surface lure! Had 5 in 1 hour at a certain Anglesey mark and 1 this morning. All well above 42cm but all returned 😎
Hi Richard, that’s good going! I’m dying to get one on a patchinko or lure alike, I’ve never had any luck with them thus far, all my fish have been taken on the sidewinder eel. Will give the surface more time next time 👍🏻
@@Jakesfishingwales That's exactly the lure I was talking about 😉 All the Bass I catch are on the surface for some reason, just the way it goes. This mornings session was very rough ang gusty with big swells. The Internet proffesionals would say surface lures are no good in those conditions, well I guess they are wrong haha. I wouldn't bother with the Patchinko copies to be honest mate, buy cheap buy twice. Frosty 2 is a good one to get first, Bass absolutely destroy it. Once you catch a couple on the surface you'll only want to fish surface lures as you witness the violent take and it's addictive.
@@richardjones2811 I’ve got the 100 and 125 and savage gear panic. Yes I know what you mean, there’s nothing like seeing a fish hit a top water! As a trout fisherman my favourite form of fishing is on the dries, nothing beats it!
Whys the camera just pointed at the seaweed? Honestly mate, ppl who know, will know where you are from the walk down that path. I dont understand why ppl go to such lengths to hide where they are when ultimately the video is about doing an activity... i go down here all the time, its never rammed, show ppl some views, and what a wonderful area we live in... there plenty of fishing around, ppl arnt going to suddenly descend on mass!

@Jakesfishingwales I understand mate, look at happy hookers boat vids, or fish lockers they are interesting because they show the whole thing, not just focused down the whole time. They show where they're fishing, who cares of ppl see. Trust me mate, there's Bass everywhere im the straits, it's just catching them that's the hard part 😂
Nice video and informations . Can u please give information , 5:21 where can i find this silicone . I want to put one of these into my bag . :)
Hi Tim, you can get them on eBay or any bass lures website, sold by ‘sidewinder’ called ‘skerries sandeel 6inch’ 👍🏻
Mentioned the area yet wouldn't show anymore than seaweed to disguise the area

Apologies, had to repost video as I forgot to add a couple of things.
I am fishing the north Cumbrian coast, it’s hit and miss with many a blank; every day is a school day!
yes Jimmy, all worth it when that line locks up into silver though. just shame it isn't every time!
Can you fish it with fly?
