Why should I win the set of butters and what would I win with them?
Most of my life I hated myself for being “different”. I grew up with dry, peeling skin and 4a hair that’s hard to manage. I eventually realized that I just needed more moisture than the average person. I started using different products, but it caused a lot of damage and irritation. It took years before I could find companies that I somewhat trusted. I recently got into cosmetic science, but I don’t have money right now. I want to be able to give myself the love I deserve by making things just for me. I’d probably buy the recipe book from the website and experiment with everything.

I'm an adult, married woman studying computer science at Cornell U., and it's very hard and I generally don't feel welcome or supported there. I show up everyday anyway. When I'm taking a break from class and drama or trying to de-stress, I watch videos like yours Yaya to make my own self-care and wholesome cosmetics at home. I plan to use these butters to make some self-care cosmetics for my family and my household to support my journey to find more ways to love myself.

moringa has great benefits for the body as well as the hair. iv used it in so many ways to help boost my hair growth, hair mask, moringa oil as well as moringa butter. This recipe will indeed promote hair growth because moringa is one of the natural ingredients that i used to grow my hair fast after my big chop. I love natural ingredients because there’s no added chemicals. thanks for sharing

Try foraging. I have made my products out of wild crafting my herbs. There are many herbs that grow that are good for all the things you suggested. Make sure you wash and dry the herbs before infusing. If you do not have google lens you can download a plant identifier app. You’d be surprise how many medicinals plant are around you. hiii!! i’m formulating my line up and product testing. due to vandalism, i’m in the process of moving so i’m bouncing ideas around more than anything and playing around w simple, one ingredient batches. really understanding how it performs on it’s own. i LOOOVE murumuru it smells and feels amazing. kokum has been a favorite of mine for years. i love body butters but sometimes dipping my nails in the jar is cringy. im formulating a body butter bar that’s easy to hold, store and apply. i understand we need water as a vesicle and a sealant. out of a connivence, it’ll be cool to create! i’m almost out of my stash so this will be a huge opportunity to have access to more of my favorite butters.

Hi Yaya, I wonder why my balm looks like it goes bad after using it (once I introduce wet fingers). I've never experienced that with any butter. I don't add any water based ingredient. I disinfect my tools and packaging. I even tried to solve the issue by using an oil soluble preservative (naticide) but no success. And I also tried different packaging (aluminum, glass, PET). Do you have a idea of what the issue could be? Thanks for sharing 🤍

Hey, I am one of your silent watchers. The reason I believe I should win the prize is because I have a deep desire to start my own skincare business. This would be a wonderful thing get me start on that journey. Starting with making a hydrating body butter particularly with cupuacu butter.

I should win because I love making my own DIY butter mixes. I would make a skin and scalp/hair butter. Making my own diy hair & scalp products has been the only thing to help my seborrheic dermatitis. I now don’t have to wash my hair every other day due to flare ups.

@@YayaDIYCreations are you self taught? Highly impressed ...this a simple formula and great for beginners such as myself....Iam still in the very beginning stages as far as collecting and gathering tools and equipment needed to start creating product!! 2+ years of research though I've had some blockades the last few years..mom passed and I've been caring for my cousin who's been sick and now was diagnosed with congestive heart failure! This give away would definitely come in handy right now as Iam in between jobs ...I have oils but no butters:( I would start out by making some lip balms, body butters, hair masks, salves utilize my neighbors eucalyptus tree and add some infused oils....add some extracts! List is endless! Again great video and very informative! Ty for sharing your knowledge!

I've used cupuacu butter and I love it!! So silky and creamy and it smells like a sweet chocolate! Unless it's unscented. But it's so creamy! I haven't tried murmur or kokum butter yet but I would love to! I have used moringa oil and moringa powder. I've been researching what I can use on my hair because I've been losing hair like crazy! Thank you for the video! I would love love love to win these butters so I can see how they are! Thank you for the chance

Oh my! This looks wonderful for the scalp. I hope everyone realizes you use so many expensive, luxurious ingredients...no cutting corners! Question...do you leave it on the scalp or rinse it out?

    • @YayaDIYCreations

Thank you! I leave it in. It’s not greasy and it absorbs fast. 😊💜
