I understand not wanting area rugs in your kitchen but why the rag laying on the floor ??

We did get rid of our coffee table but I do have side tables for lamps.

Love your list! Very reasonable. We're the same way with flat sheets. I always get all twisted in them 😂
Can you make a video about minimal/simple meal planning?

Have you read the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch? I find them very entertaining, with lots of tidbits of British history/culture.
Also your house looks so much like the one I grew up in in the 80s (Regency-ish area.) The upstairs is basically identical. Minus all the cluttered 80s decor of course!

Oh my word, I’m so guilty of buying for the label. I’ve gotten so much better at buying something I like regardless of the brand. I’ve recently gone through my shoes and I have very few pairs, booties (I wear 99% of the time in the fall/winter), brown flats and leopard flats ( my spring shoes), sneakers (walking/workout shoes) and sandals (summer). This is it! Seems like a lot but they all have a purpose and I do wear them all!

If someone brings their own dining sets for a party, do you wash it during the party or do they leave it and you have to return after?

Makes sense! Also interesting about your hairbrush situation. I have 2, one to untangle after a shower and a softer brissel one to blow dry with. My hair doesn't work with just one. No one else in my family uses a brush, even one of my sons with long curly hair down to his butt 😂 We also all have our own toothpaste because of bacteria and taste preference. Everyone has their own toothbrush drawer so non of them are near each other. So fun to see how other minimal families work things out. I am highly debating getting rid of the few area rugs because I knew they collected dust and we have allergies, but I also just read that rugs hold 4000 times more germs and bacteria than a toilet bowl 🤢 haha reading stuff like that will make minimalists out of us all!

If you haven't read A Gentleman in Moscow, I highly recommend it.

I wore a few shoes that were already worn and now I have a lot of foot problems. My foot doctor said wearing the same shoes everyday and especially shoes that other people broke in a harmful to your feet. I regret that I did that.

@@minimalease Over the years I got different brands but bought from thrift shops. My doctor said that you should not buy shoes that are broken in by others because they don't fit your foot right. Your young so probably right now it might not bother you but over the years to come that could affect your feet because they don't have the proper support since the shoe is already broken in by someone else.
