Hey if you watched this video and want to see more of my creative endeavors check out my latest short film that I am currently submitting to film festivals:
ua-cam.com/video/NJyC2tJ75mI/v-deo.html
Do yourself a favour and watch the live from Paris version 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 The audio of the crowd is so much better, the pyro is insane and Flake on the keyboard will blow your mind
This song is a play on German words. Du hast means you have. Du hasst means you hate. So the translation you looked up is correct based on the written lyrics but all the times it said have are actually hate when done vocally.
Thank you about the reaction video. Greetings from germany.
I am 17 years old and come from Germany. I grew up with Rammstein. Even when I was 3 years old, my parents sat me in front of the TV and turned on Rammstein videos. I was always perfectly happy watching them, my favorite thing to do (and I still do) is to watch the concert live from Paris. My parents have seen Rammstein live quite often. My mother has probably seen them 10 times now. I saw them live for the first time in 2019, then in 2022 and now last week I went to the dress rehearsal in we were standing front of stage (Feuerzone= Firezone), for which my mother won tickets, and I'm going to see Rammstein live again at the end of the summer. I'm already incredibly excited! I have to say that Rammstein concerts are not like normal concerts, I've seen a lot of bands like Green Day, Coldplay and Kiss but no show can compete with Rammstein. Not only the show is amazing, but also the lyrics, especially as a German native speaker you understand the background and in a completely different way. No live act has ever made me cry but when Rammstein opened the show in Prague last week with Ramm4, tears were streaming down my face because it meant everything to me. Rammstein is not just a band for many, many associate them with special memories and just a good time. For me, Rammstein is childhood!
Hi !
I saw them for the first time last year in Padova (Padua), Feuerzone, this year will be in Klagenfurt, of course Feuerzone again. Love them from the first time I heard them, by accident, on UA-cam, when I finally got the internet. I'm 73, but a fan like a teenager, have a lot of their merch.
You may want to try the song 'Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen', the first song from their first album. It's one of the songs that really shows people how to pronounce Rammstein.
But those are 90's songs. They've come a long way since then, and their recent music videos have been of cinematic quality, to the point that they show a few minutes of credits afterwards.
Their music videos are crazy too, newer ones look like proper movies.
Man finally saw them for the first time during the stadium tour and i only knew like 4 songs by them but man the show was amazing
You should also watch Engel, Ich Tu Dir Weh, and Rammlied from this same show. Incredible performances!!
Nothing hits like Du Hast. ❤
There's probably going to be fire, she said. ❤🤣 I love your earrings! Now you need Mein Herz Brennt.
I'll see them next Saturday in Dresden, Germany.🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻Best band in the world.
I m going to see them live this sunday. :)) Love them.
The live performances are spectacular, but the music videos are works of art.
I think my "Mein Herz brennt" (my heart is burning) in the piano version is especially interesting for you.
They are trained pyro technicians as well!
The keyboard artist is Christian "Flake" Lorenz. He was the last person to join the band because he found playing in a band to be kind of stupid 😂 But he's stuck with them all these years, and adds his own flair, with his silly outfits and treadmill. Till (the lead singer) also tends to playfully bully him during a lot of performances. I would definitely recommend "Mein Teil" from the Hurricane festival
Paris version is way better
And 2019-2024 way way better
They have named themselves after the "Rammstein Air Base" disaster of 1988. There is a lot to dig into with these guys.
That's how I like to see you smile and not cry😘❤️
Amazing Band
okay as a theatre kid, you HAVE TO react to Nightwish - Greatest Show on Earth (Live at Tampere) version. It gave me goosebumps just typing that out. ALSO, another fun reaction would be Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames music video. It's epic, and listening to another reactor right now watching it as I'm typing this and to quote, "omg this is INSANE! I dont even know where to pause but I have to catch my breath".
Due to regulations in the US, they cannot do the pyro like they'd like to. Watch the Live in Paris version for the real pyro. And the singer, Till Lindemann, is a certified pyro-technician, so he knows what he's doing and everyone is safe. That wasn't always the case though in the early years.
OMG..!! "Are they GERMAAAN.?? 🦧🤷🏻🤦
Oh jaaa...
Today Madison Square Garden, tomorrow the whole world !
TOTAL 😂😂😂
It looks like others have talked about the meaning and translation. The song is a bit of a play on the words, have and hate, and hints at how the two are experienced in and a part of so many relationships (marriages in particular). The showmanship of their shows and the issues/subjects they address are phenomenal.
Rammstein is absolutely fantastic. Your keyboard dude is “Flake” Lorenz. “Engel” is great, “Ich Will” is too, “Mein Herz Brennt” will knock your socks off (regular or piano version), and “Deutschland” will change you. ❤
If you are interested in the singing voice of Till you might consider watching:
Rammstein - Zeit (Official Video)
The lyrics are quite touching, youtube's auto-translation does a good job. Enjoy and have fun and thanks for all of your videos.
rammstein's European Stadium Tour 2024 starts tonight in Prague, Czech Republic 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Later on you should really do some Rammstein offical videos, particularly ones later in their career. They are absolute works of art in their own right. They are one of the last bands who still puts tons of money in their videos. Deutschland and Zeit are magnificent pieces of filmmaking
Fun fact, the singer Till is a licenced pyrotechnician
Rammstein similar to Einstein
when it comes to pronunciation
Now I want a Rammstein song about the vast emptiness of space and black holes
If you want to have more fun with Rammstein, watch the song "Pussy" live at Madison Square Garden!
I saw them in San Antonio back in 2022 and it was the best show I’ve ever seen.
To hear Till sing, and understand Flakke's glittery suit, try Ich Tu Dir Weh (pronounced, roughly, ikh too deer vay) from the same concert.
You wanna see Fire check out Feuer Frei and/or Engel ;)
Also Flake (the keyboardist) is on a threadmill, hence the "running man".
The 2 concerts selled out in 20 minutes
Hail to the Queen Quacker!
For learning how speakout Rammstein look for "Rammlied" live at Madison Square Garden...
Ramm with an long a as in "far" and Stein like stine. 😂
If you want vocals and a little bit of theatrics on this band you should check the video of the piano version of Mein Hertz Brent. After that I recomend you to see Engel in Madison square garden, it's a great performance.
It's Ram-shtine, to rhyme with fine.
This is one of their early ones. Their new stuff is much more complex.
The lyrics are based on the German marriage vows, and the response is always "Nein!"
But Rammstein's lyrics always have multiple meanings.
Ramstein is a US Air Space
This song is a perfect example of how metal can unleash a whirlwind of energy. I'll leave you with a request. You have to react to Nick Thurl Mavromatis' new song, it's mind-blowing!
Du Hast has two meanings. You Have or You Hate. On their Sehnsucht album their is 2 songs they redo in English. For Du Hast he sings You Hate
yes German lol/ Rammstein is the Air force base there...,
Vamos a ver
treadmill. Ramm (rom) stein (shtine ~ rhymes w/shine) any theater kid likely wants to do Engel (angel) live next.
I figured you would know this song from the movie Euro-Trip

you could honestly spend a whole month on rammstein live performances.
Look up Sabaton, and Emma KoK,a beautiful young lady with a beautiful voice alongside Andre Rieu and his orchestra. And besides watching the Rammstein video i was also noticing how beautiful you are!
"Mein Herz Brennt" will hits you hard. But my fave is "Meil Teil".
I love rammstein you need to do deutschland
Unfortunately the person who chose this version didn’t give you the best version as the US restrictions prevented the boys from producing the full pyro show. Du Hast Paris is the best.
I concure.
Definitely
I think you'll love Nick Thurl Mavromatis' new song 🔥 Do a reaction video for it!
Mein hertz brennt piano version official video is a good one to hear his vocals. Don't need to understand the lyrics to feel the connection to that song but u can get it with english subtitles
Now that you're into German hard core (hmm.. that sounded 'dirty') you should really check out and react to WBTBWB (We Butter the Bread with Butter) and their song: 20km/h... it's hard core AND hilarious!
Escucho esto. Y luego te quiero....
A few things about Rammstein, their German lyrics, this song in particular, and other songs that might be interesting for you:
--- Rammstein ---
A lot of songs in their live shows include fire and explosions. Their singer, Till Lindemann, is a licenced pyro-technician (as result of an incident in a show in their early days). They never had a line-up change since their start in 1994. The lead gitarrist once said, the band is like a marriage without sex. The Wikipedia translation of their band name might be correct, even so such a word with the meaning "ramming stone" does not exist in German language. Their band name has a different history: There was an air show desaster in the Ramstein US Air Base (near a small city called Ramstein) and one of the first songs from the band was about this desaster. By mistake they spelled the song with two "m" as Rammstein. So they were "the band with the Rammstein song", "the Rammstein band" and finally they named themselves "Rammstein".
--- German lyrics & English translations ---
For many of Rammstein's videos there are English subtitles available. To find a lot of them, you may search on UA-cam for: "educated marine rammstein" + songname
Or just look here: www.youtube.com/@educatedmarine/videos
For live videos of Rammstein songs, www.youtube.com/@Bucksttabu/playlists is a good source.
However, in case of Rammstein, precise translations of the lyrics is hard work (and sometimes not possible in subtitles), because they are playing many times with double meanings of words or slightly modify common German expressions and symbolic language pictures to invert or change their meanings. (That is even used in the very simple lyrics of "Du hast", one of their most famous songs.)
--- Lyrics of "Du hast" in a nutshell ---
The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times).
As mentioned in the "making of" of that song it's about the connection within the band.

ua-cam.com/video/ve6AxSxEYtY/v-deo.html
Feuer Frei! (live from Madison Square Garden)

There are a lot more spectacular performances and amazing official videos from Rammstein, but I've tried to focus on your potential interests.
Especially in official videos pausing and commenting in between is oftenly necessary to avoid blocking for copyright reasons.
Have fun.
A question at the end: Could you explain the "German vibes" that you had with Rammstein and Electric Callboy? And did you feel the same with Powerwolf, another German band that you've reacted to a while ago (Demons are the girls best friends)? I'm just curious.
Lindemann | Wer weiß das schon | English/German lyrics | JOKER Soundtrack |
This one is simple but iconic, but they have a lot of songs with a lot more to them. Plenty of good suggestions in the comments, but for some unknown reason I think "Dicke Titten" would be a good song choice for you. English subs on the official video.
Dude on the treadmill was ridiculous 😮😂😂
I think he was great plus he’ll get some exercise
You need to roll the "R" and say it like Rrromshtyne
Wortspiel : Du hast mich - You have me , Du hasst mich - You hate me
Watch the Paris version
Oh, I like that "Rammsteen" from Americans. Sounds so much better than a bad pronounced rammshtain.
Fire tengo yo
Te quiero...
Of course Rammstein's stage show is safe.
Otherwise it would not be allowed to be shown at all.
Rammstein performs its impressive pyro show in every country and the respective security authorities have always given their OK.
Flake, the keyboarder, runs on a real treadmill during the concerts.
you hast is =you hate or have in germany. crazy. yes our language is a litlle bit cracy. not easy but i like it to say: yes i m proud to be a german.
Nada ya lo dicen
They've been banned in the US before because of the fire
Rammstein month??
They are pronounced Rum-stine.(as in wine)..🤓🤣
Hi from germany 🙂
rammstein make music videos at the highest level. Please watch this music video, you will be amazed:
Rammstein: Adieu ( Official Video )
Quieres más?
H2
Ok
Rammstein gets pronounced as Albert Einstein 😜
You just open a treasure box
If you like them or not, but Rammstein does everything to perfection
Shows or videos you will see it
What I like on this reactions is that usually the text is not understood. Often even Germans don't recognise the small modification in the chorus. Not even the lyrics are correct. It's not one wordplay. And it's absolutely not a love song. :D
As mindless the lyrics seems... it's actually way better if you listen.
Entiendes alemán?
The title of the song is not ambiguous, has no doublemeaning..."Du hast" translated means "You have".
'Du hasst' means "you hate" and is written with a double 's' (or with a sharp 's'). When you say it, it sounds the same, but the lyrics just say 'du hast-you have'. Nobody really knows the meaning of Rammstein's songs anyway, because Rammstein generally doesn't explain their songs.
Quieres?
UHHHHH Be careful recording yourself looking up the lyrics please.
Great song. Good band. Be mindful of some of their live music. There are a lot of sexual and taboo visuals they use during live shows that might get you flagged. That said, more Rammstein pls.
The best version is in paris
Yes ..05:48 only ONLY 16,5 % song are english language. Sad if Yputubers reacts only english songs. Only 20 % UA-camrs react other langugage songs too
You read that translation as if it was a WhatsApp, you have done no fact checking, Rammstein is not Rammsteen, Du Hast/ Du hasst are two words with different meanings, both sound the same for those who don't know German, the first translation is You have, the second is, You hate. Got it?
"That doesn't seem safe."
So?
...go to Paris ;)
Pues no escuches mas
You look a bit (as or like ? ) the twinsister of 'Bisscute ' .Another female UA-camr
lmao i was thinking the same thing.
Du hast.. LIVE FROMT paris ITS a real fireworks PERFORMANCE... THIS not
RAMMSTEIN…Not Rammsteen!!!
Mtv
Think ROM like CD-ROM, then STEIN, like a beer stein. Rammstein. Not ram like the animal.
Paris version 💯 % better 👍
you a cute... this is in america not in germany. not even band can play at the madison spuare garden. Rammstein have the honor the first german band they can this.
Sobrevalorado
Please, please NOT the stupid sounding "RAAAMMSTEEEN" it's like "RUMMSTINE" got it ?
El peor grupo del mundo
Te quiero...
