Tom Petty is a musical hero to us. We were lucky enough to tour with him, and this song "Walls" is the song Wes' wife walked down the aisle to. We recorded our version backstage before a show after Tom died, and the proceeds will go to MusiCares - an organization that helps all kinds of musicians.

I had a best friend. He was all my happiness. He was all I had for so long. He and I eventually fell deeply in love. Sleep on the Floor by this band was our anthem. All we wanted was each other. So we wanted to run away some day together. Sleep on the Floor's music video was our dream. He took his life over four months ago. Ever since Sleep on the Floor hasn't been the same. We bonded even closer over each Lumineers song. Every time I hear another one, I know he would've loved it. This one would've been his second favorite (after our song of course). I hope he can hear it still up in heaven.
I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. The love of my life took his life this year 😔 the pain has been unbearable - I discovered this cover a week after his passing and it’s describes him perfectly. I feel your pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers ❤️

My husband took his life in 2020 and I lost my 11 year old 2 months later, not sure how I'm still here

I was a drug addict. I remember I lost everyone and everything, got myself abused and was slowly losing my mind. I remember I had just got out of the hospital and it was freezing cold I had nowhere to go and I was loosing my mind. Then I found the Lumineers song " angela " my world all of a sudden changed. I found hope. It helped me realize there something out there that connects all of us and loves all of us. Ever since that day I took the baby steps to make better choices. This a beautiful band.... I am a year and 6 months sober. Sometimes we did some of the painful things we did because our hearts are big... Sensitive people. Happy new years. Love you all.

A girl at my school just lost her fight with cancer, and the staff played a video of her playing and singing this song on her ukulele. I'll always think of her when I hear this song now. She was one of the most kind and cheerful people I know, and I think its the perfect song to remember her by.

Today I had the worst day ever. I cried my eyes out. I have never been more disappointed in my faith in God because I didn't get the thing I was praying and working for the whole year and it crushed me. I felt empty and hollow and just mad rage. But faith is believing even when you don't want to and then I heard this song and I've never been more thankful to God for this band lol.

Not sure if anyone will read this, but this song means a lot to me and in August I got a tattoo of a yin- yang symbol with the ocean and the sky for the lyrics "half of me is ocean, half of me is sky". It was my first tattoo and its on my right thigh, about the size of a fist!

I love reading the comments on Lumineer’s videos bcs people just SPILL and it’s so good to just sit and feel. These songs always have some kind of nostalgia attached and the comments just add to that and I love it so much.
How did I not know about this version? Saw you guys open for Tom Petty in Vancouver just a few months before he passed.. Tom was somebody to damn near everybody. A musical legend, mentor, friend, brother, husband, father.. R.I.P Tom Petty.

I'm young. I don't know if I can say it but I've been in love once. It was that kind of love you never put into words but you can feel with all your soul. He was not mature yet but he was nice, sincere, generous, sensitive, caring and I loved him. We never got together, we were just friends and we used to listen to music together and this song was one of them untill he left. Thanks for the beautiful music you offer us. You guys have been part of my life and listening again to those songs makes me believe that love still exists. After all, maybe we were not meant to be one for the other but you made us create a special bond I will never forget.
I had a friend that introduced me to this band. A good friend. I cared about him a lot, but he left. I don't know why he left. When he left, he left me with so many songs from The Lumineers that now all I can do is cry over. His favorite was Cleopatra, but I can't help but imagine that he will love this one too. If he is the one reading this comment right now, missing you hurts. This song hurts, but I love it. I miss you.

There is something truly magical about this song. The ways it's played and sung brings out all of those feelings of longing and rest and hope and happiness. This is a song for a moment you need to just close your eyes and soak up the sun as it rises.
We heard y’all play this shortly after Tom Petty passed on in Jacksonville,FL and it was incredible. A great tribute.

So so Beautiful, very few bands can do Tom Petty Justice.
I heard this on the radio a few days ago and just froze. That haunting voice hit my heart so hard. I'm 60 and I still love Jackson Browne, Neil young, and Bruce. But I also like five finger death punch...Van Halen and Gary Allen. My point is music speaks to us in the mood we are in at the time. And at the time this song hit home hard. And yes Tom Petty one of the best ever.
This song just makes me tear up thinking about my mom who passed away this year. The Lumineers make some of the best music.

Why am I always ending up listening to Lumineers whenever I'm heartbroken?
Funny how songs work they can bring out the real you, that’s why I love the Lumineers because there songs bring out the real me, I act like a cold hearted person, but when I listen to the Lumineers I show my real self and that is someone who cares and is there for everyone I know and just wants to be loved 😊. Also they make you tell stories about what makes you sad and and it hurts, but also helps hoping that the person who you miss sees your comment, to those hoping good luck hopefully they see it and everything is fixed if not I’m sorry and i hope that one day you can wake up one day and smile and the pain has. 😊👍

I had a friend who was (still is) really dear to me. We were friends for almost nine years and in those years, we went through so many happy moments and of course, arguments but we had always came back stronger. We spoke with each other everyday no matter what. We made so many promises that were eventually broken.
Somehow, we graduated school and went separate ways... spoke to each other lesser. Eventually one day, he left. He didn't tell me why, just that, it was the end and it broke my heart so badly, even more than my first love.
It's been a year since we last spoken and I miss him every single day. But I also realized that as each day passes, it hurts a little lesser. Some days I would face something really difficult and the first thing I want to do was to call him or text him to tell him about it but I would remember that he didn't ever want to talk to me anymore. Somewhere towards the end of our friendship, I went to uni but felt depressed because I could feel myself losing him as he drifted further.
I haven't found another friendship like this. I probably never will again. As sad as it is, I loved him, I still do. And because I love him, I realised that if it makes him happy that we ended our friendship, then I respect his decision.
And this song... reminded me of all the good memories we made together.
