I don’t mean to be a downer and i don’t know what this was written about, but I’m in rehab about a week into being off opiates for the first time in 20 years. I’m in a tiny town out west, I keep listening to this as I sit by myself early in the morning watching the starry sky turn into day, listening to the river flow free, and the song is just perfect.
It’s a great song. I hope you’re doing well. Recovering from something like that is hard, but music sure helps. I’m not quite sure what it’s about either, but it just seems like such a perfect song.
Do all you can to stay strong for yourself, for those who love you now, and those who will love you by and by (in the near future).
Hope you’re still hanging in there!

My mom died in a motorcycle wreck when I was 15, it fucked my life up in so many ways, it ripped my family apart. Ahe was the rock that held us all together. None of knew how much we really needed her till she was gone. But hear i am able to shed tears of joy because she tought me so much and i didnt even know. Life is amazing, and its okay to be sad sometimes. Love you mom

I discovered this song while hiking the Appalachian Trail and going through a painful divorce. This song makes me feel like I'm back there on the trail, reliving all of the pain and beauty I experienced. "With that chip on my shoulder, this past year I got so much older" really speaks to me. It's such a beautiful, heartfelt song and has easily become my very favorite song that I can listen to over and over.

I introduced this song to my former boss during the height of COVID - work team was putting together a song playlist. He said he really really loved this song. He told us shortly after he had cancer, and recently passed away last November of 2021. I like to believe he thought of these lyrics as a reflection of his life and his wife... He was an amazing boss but more of a friend than anything. He was a great leader and I miss him. I always think about him every time I hear this song. You never know when you'll lose a friend.

I lost my ham sammich two years ago coming up on 1/15/24(xanax and oxy ) ...I was only with her for 10 months but she drove me crazy she used to play this song.... now that she is gone I dissect whatever songs she used to play to remember her, to make me feel her but she is not here.For all the people dealing with addiction don't give up, please don't give up there is good and bad days but don't give up.

Song hits so close for someone who lives in good ole WV, literally dropped 30 pounds, has always had crippling social anxiety, has come of age and given up on dreams, is now learning to take care of their sick mother, and is constantly worrying about her, etc. Although I don't need to ask because I know she is a life force.

The guys on the RizzShow and everyone at 105.7 The Point are mourning the loss of a colleague. Tony Patrico mentioned this song on one of their morning shows and now with the loss of Jeff Burton I can say that this song would be perfect to play at his funeral. St Louis will miss you Jeff, you helped a lot of people and was always kind no matter what. Fly high and save us all a round when we come up there to see you again.

Also TBH they are a band I LOVE a few songs off the album and the rest are easily listenable but not stuff I actively research for. January wedding is still my favorite song of theirs.
This is a year late but I wish I could like this 4 million times. Repping West Virginia all the wile playing the best blue grassy folk music topped with vocals to kill. World would be a better place with your all’s music on the radio as #1 hands down. Anything that feels like this tune makes me feel is priceless.
Discovered this band while sitting in the hospital recovering from surgery after a car crash, safe to say I listen to many albums and just made me feel like everything was gonna be okay, and everything ended up going great and got discharged early too and was finally able to see my family for the first time in a week thanks to covid

Listening to this song makes me to go up to the mountains again with my old man. Every July, we go up to a lake in the Rocky Mountains and fly fish for 2 or 3 days. The things you see up there man, there’s no describing them.
