@Nottimvr I live in a third world country and this was back in 07 in the ghetto. Kids threw hands and drew blood cuz a lot of them came from areas dominated by gangs and had a front row seats to violence. I still have a scar on my face to this day under my left eyes from one of those fights that same year and that school yard was huge and a lot would go down in a single day and basketball court was smack in the middle of the school yard like ten inches high lookin like a cell games colosseum and if you got punch off that thing you were guaranteed to hit gravel and I spent 8 years of my life at that school and hated almost every minute of it felt like a prison.
Bruce Lee once wrote; you should never hurt your opponent, you should injure them. If you hurt your opponent he/she will think that it was a fluke or you got lucky and will keep attacking you but if you injure them, they will have to decide if attacking you is worth the injuries that are coming or if they can keep attacking you with the injuries they’ve already suffered.
@@Master.Daddy.Wickedactually it depends on the state, unless superseded by federal law which in this case it’s not, in some states you can “stand your ground” if you feel your life is in danger you’re legally allowed you to protect your self until the threat is no longer active, but there’s some states like mass where it’s like a fuckin legal chess game trying to figure out if you’re still defending yourself, for example if you tackle someone and start attacking, and they manage to roll you over and get on top, now they’re in control if they do anything other than get up and run away or just hold you, they’re catching an assault charge. it’s crazy
Your not wrong and letting them will only hasten the fire that was already burning, coming from a person who believes in the order of nature and society, “you attract what you are”
Then the bully has won. Trying to provoke you, and you let them give what they wanted. Sometimes bullies want you to hit them and injure them and hurt them to get you in trouble. If you want to hurt them with words, then that's up to you, but assault can get you arrested.
Not true as it depends on where you live. In highschool I had a bully that constantly tormented me and it was well know his dad would verbally and physically abuse him to the point where he'd show up with bruises on his body. I think its honestly too complex of an issue to say that it's definitively one way or the other. Sure, I'm sure that a lot of them are sadists, but a lot of them have friend groups or parents that hurt them so they pass the hurt on. It's literally human nature to pass on acts of kindness or hate. That's why the term "violence begets violence" exists.

Context: the bullied kid's dad kills a bunch of robbers while defending his business. (It is later revealed the dad is a former mobster, which is why the bullied kid kind of explodes like that, as he's upset that his dad has been lying to him this whole time)
Bully is in even deeper water than he realizes. The movie, that this is from, isn't about the kid getting harassed, its about the harassed kids dad... who possesses a capacity for extreme violence, thus the title.
My very loyal, faithful sweet, brave, and short ( for that year in high school) deceased husband of 42 years ALWAYS hated violence - even in high school. He knew a little of martial arts, He was way better than he was aware of (he was very critical of how he did his moves). He defended himself only when forced. He was bulled and mocked horribly in school. One day, the worst school bully snucked up BEHIND my husband (while dressing in the gym dressing locker) and punched him in his lower back between his spine and ribs. The bully very quickly ran to a bench and pretended to tie his shoe laces. Everyone else was shocked and quiet after witnessing the assault. My husband reeled in pain for a moment. My husband turned around and landed one martial art move at the base of the bully neck. The bully went down instantly for about 5 minutes. Then, the bully tried to act like the victim. My husband warned him that was a small sample of what he was able to do, and next time would be far worse for the bully. His locker room freinds told the bully to leave him alone. My husband was left in peace the rest of the year.
@josephconjoh4788 Thank you dear. My husband was such a gift from God. Though he has passed away, I still feel married to him, so the only one I get lonely for is him. Through him I saw how the mercy, compassion, forgiveness and love of God is manifested in one's spouse. When your spouses are like this, you help each other grow in spiritual maturity and holiness. This is why marrage is a sacrament.
Roberta, I’m so sorry for your loss. I, too, recently lost my wife of 36 years when she decided to have an affair and left me for another, younger man. But that is beside the point. I’m not proud of the fact that when I was an 8th grader I bullied a classmate of mine. During elementary school I got bullied relentlessly by bigger and stronger kids. But when I became the bully the kid I bullied all of sudden hauled off and landed a beautiful left cross on my jaw. I was immediately stunned, ashamed and yet full of admiration for this smaller kid. I never bothered him again and made a special effort to apologize before the end of the school year when we would be going to different high schools. Interestingly enough, during the episode where he slugged me the teacher observed everything and made no effort to interfere. It stands out as one of the best lessons I ever learned. Peace be with you Roberta and may all your memories of your late husband bring you joy.
My friends not a bad guy… but we started noticing that when we’d go out to parties or the bar, it always seemed to be him in the middle of trouble and that me and a few buddies were always the ones coming to save him and getting into the fights while he stood around. One day my friends saw him getting into yet another argument over a girl with some other dudes and went to step in and I grabbed them and said nah. I think it’s time he stuck up for himself. He got his ass beat pretty bad, we eventually broke it up. But that was the last time WE got into fights because of his antics too when he cried about us not helping him and us saying “dude, we aren’t fighting for you anymore. We’d never let you get jumped or into an unfair fight but when you cause problems? That’s on you now.”. Haven’t been in a fight since college now.
There's an old saying............. "Beware the fury of the patient man". This clip is an excellent example of that. He gave you plenty of chances to be you and stay away from him. But you refused. Now, you pay for it.
Yep, and now you've said that, that is one indirect thing that MY bully did for me (ex) Once you've dealt with bigger fish then some wee shit at school really isn't going to be on your radar, try as they might.
My step dad hit me for 7 years. My mum left him and when we eventually got set up in a new school I got bullied but wasn't majorly bothered - until one day I got hit over the back of the head and they topped it off with a homophobic slur. I turned around, stood on their foot, grabbed their hair and punched them in the face. I held them by the hair about a foot off the floor and told them I'd had enough now and dropped them to the floor. I went home and told my mum what I'd done and felt so ashamed and awful. I didn't want to be like my step dad at all. They never told the school what I did, my mum reckoned it was because they'd have to tell the school what they had done to push me to that point. I'd dealt with the worst stuff imaginable under my step dad, they didn't realise how small they were compared to him.
Exactly. How do mother animals train their offspring? Pain. Pain teaches people. Pain and humiliation. The biggest problem with bullies is that they'll only hunt in packs. Expect to be ganged up on if you can defend yourself. Cowards. Whereas I've hunted alone and that freaks them out. It shuts them up.
Yeah, why don't these politically correct pansies understand that?!? I think partly because they've never been bullied and they see themselves as in morally higher ground than the rest of us .....until it happens to them. Then, they change their tune
I know. The whole fight is Scorpion in reverse. "Get over there" >toss away instead of pull toward. "Come here" > ground bounce punch instead of uppercut. Either way. That kid hit him with the "flawless".
I was bullied until I fought back, my mom yelled at the teacher when they started to say something about my behavior. She said that they didn't do anything while I was being bullied so since they didn't do their job, then I have to take care of it myself. Teacher shut up real quick and mom told them that if I get bullied again then I have the right to defend myself. Was never bullied again.
You notice bullies never do anything alone, they always have a crowd. They are attention. Seekers and need everyone else to validate them. Then that day comes when they realize those they thought were friends never were.
I stayed in fights and trouble because they kept insulting my mother. She finally asked me if I did not think she could take care of her own fights. I knew she could. I'd seen it. She said if what they said did not bother her, then I shouldn't let it bother me, and that if they had ever been brave enough to talk to her about it, then she would handle it and stop getting sent to the principal's office for that. It did NOT keep me out of fights, but it was for different reasons.

I was frequently told by my mother to ignore the bullies, walk away, and if I ever got in a fight, she would ensure my ass was too sore to sit on for a week. It wasn’t till I was many decades older, looking back on my life, that I realised she wasn’t against me defending myself. She knew I had the potential to snap and seriously injure or kill someone. She scared me into not becoming one of them. Smart lady, slow son.
I have had Tourette’s since I was six years old. Growing up in the 90s I was the only kid who had it and no one had ever heard of it before. That being said, I got bullied every single day until middle school. The same kid who had been bullying me since elementary school pushed me and I had finally had enough and snapped on him. Of course, I got suspended for what I did to him but he received a broken nose and a missing tooth. I never got bullied again after that day. It was very unfortunate that had to happen, but it did.
An example of the school system making everything worse. They didn't do anything to prevent the predictable, inevitable altercation where you taught the bully his desperately needed lesson. Instead, they wait until everything goes to shit and then punish the one who was getting bullied and finally had enough.
@@13DM13 Nobody has mentioned that It happens in most every workplace. Sometimes, the guy that was fat or was picked on for some reason or another exacts their revenge on other people because they are damaged. It's usually about them feeling control or power. Their lack of having an earlier in life makes it more important to them later on in life. Usually, in a workplace ; it's more of a psychological war. There are some pretty clever people that for some reason , create problems for others.. I'm not sure if it's because the person reminds them of someone that picked on them earlier in life etc. The smartest ones construct a group to be insulated. Also, if one person says something about you it can be dismissed as he said she said. If 5 or more people start saying it, it sounds more convincing. It's tough to beat a five on one situation whether physical or psychological. These are the truly dangerous people. The stories about high school bullies are nothing compared to the hell some people have to put up with as adults, trying to support their family or just getting through life.
There always legend about never make the calm and quiet person angry. They have massive patient. But you don't want near them when that threshold is gone.
I’ve never met a bully in real life that was threatening probably because I’ve been 6’4 almost 200 lbs since I was a freshman so if I ever saw it I made sure they knew that there’s always someone bigger than them who doesn’t like when people get picked on
This is actually the only way to stop bullying. You take what they do, turn it around 10x, they magically stop wanting to have anything to do with you. This applies to physical, mental, verbal or psychological bullying, and applies on every level of life. For maximum effect, make sure you drive the public humiliation aspect home. They had chances to act like people and didn’t take them. Once you stop thinking of them as people, it’s a pretty smooth process.
I remember these two kids arguing after lunch apparently kid A said something about kid B’s mom, and kid B told him “aye man my moms dead”. Prine example of "don't push the quiet guy". They'll eventually reach a point where it's enough. When they reach that point, you really don't want to see it!
The guy who practices self-control is the one to be wary of. He doesn't avoid a fight because of what you can do to him. It's because of what he can do to you.
The worst Part is. For the school the bully is the victim. Bc violence is sooo Bad. In school teachers Do nothing bc they cant stop it. They expect you to endure it. But violnece helps. Show them its Not an good idea to mess with you. That you arent an easy target and they search for a New one.
Just because someone won't fight you doesn't mean they can't fight or that they are scared of you. It's actually the opposite. They are scared of what they will do to you. Always be careful of the quiet people. It takes a bigger person to walk away and show restraint. There's a reason bullies are mouthy they try to intimidate people by talking shit in front of people, but when it comes down to it, they are just insecure little people that hide behind brevado.
There's no physical injury with teasing and insults and as long as the bully doesn't beat up the bullied there's no legal liability. When a fight breaks out, there is potential legal liability, so they have to try to stop it. Everyone gets in trouble because everyone "causes the problem." The bullied gets in more trouble because they are madder and therefore *must* be the aggressor.
Reading comments and seeing that bullying is real in high school I am glad my school was special. Small town, kids from good families, no wonder we never had these low life behaviors.
I bet he felt bad after getting beat down by somebody he thought was scared. This is how u stop bullying. Let them fight it out and there will be no more bullying . Bullies are cowards
Sometimes, you need to speak the same language to be heard and understood. Bullies speak in violence. Often, bullies are just passing along what they learn at home. That makes them tragic and sad but it's still no excuse.
My first year in highschool had not 1 person like this but 2... I struggled learning and was already held back in first grade. I was soo afraid of failing I ignored them until one day I didn't care if I was going to get suspended/expelled. first kid took my body spray in the locker room and said fvck it let's do it, I know this is what you been waiting on... he did pshh and gave me my body spray back and never messed with me again. 2nd kid was would kick the back of my chair and randomly bump into me with my guard off until I caught him on the corner of my eye ready to shoulder check me and braced myself leaning in so he wouldn't budge me.. He then tried to get in my face and soon as he did I just threw his ass across the shop table. he came back thought for a second and said I was lucky lmao... again he never fucked with me again. me and the 2nd kid ended up becoming friends years later forgetting who we looked like until I smoked weed for the first time in years later with him... Was actually something we laughed about for years until life took us in different directions
Where I was the stoners, punks, and metal kids would actively seek out assholes. Anyone being messed with knew what bathroom and time too talk about it with me. That was early 2000 tho. Great times.
Yup, getting bullied for no reason. All I can say is that a similar thing happened to me in 2nd grade by two students. It was the first time I every felt that angry and somehow beat both of them up. Adrenalin is a strong feeling. It's like your body move from 10 to 1000 real quick and you can't normally go over 100.
And what makes a bully even more of a coward is that if you embarrass him in front of people he will try to take your life but not realizing he the one that’s been starting shit with someone who doesn’t even look your way
This was what it was like for me when I was getting bullied and just one day I exploded I couldn't take it anymore. Let's just say after that day nobody ever talked to me that way again. All the sudden everybody wanted to be my friend
I was bullied relentlessly and never stood my ground. When I started fighting back I learned that it didn’t even matter that I won or lost, just that I fight back. I actually became friends with guys that tried to bully me just for having the balls to fight even when I know I would lose. Bully’s don’t want a fight…they want a victim
It’s always refreshing to see someone store up their emotions, then burst plus being triggered. I’d do the exact same thing the guy did, except I wouldn’t let some random girl on the bully’s side stop me until the bully said that he gives up. If they don’t say to stop, then they clearly don’t want you to stop. Basic fundamentals of words.
Bullies are only bullies because they've never been put in their place, most importantly at home. I've never seen a bully take a punch in the face and continue to bully other people, If anything, they immediately pull the victim card and accuse their victim of bullying them. It's almost like they think that being bullied, as in being singled out for seemingly no reason, is not a fun thing to deal with and incredibly wrong. 🤔🤔 It sucks that I have to say this, but sometimes giving people a taste of their own medicine is the only way they will see the error of their ways, that's just how the real world works.

I'm sorry for your loss
@josephconjoh4788 Thank you dear. My husband was such a gift from God. Though he has passed away, I still feel married to him, so the only one I get lonely for is him.

I’m so sorry for your loss.

And that is how bullies should be dealt with
No one ever stops the bully but when the victim finally snaps and fights back, they always step in and stops them. Why is that? 🤔

It sucks that I have to say this, but sometimes giving people a taste of their own medicine is the only way they will see the error of their ways, that's just how the real world works.
