So many wonderful choices!!! I was holding my pearls for the science and math reveal 😅. I love how you took everything into consideration when making your decisions for curriculum. This is our last year using TGTB science because this mom needs a pre made science kit…FrFr. I love the idea of making vocabulary words into spelling words ❤. One suggestion is to divide the school nest notebook into sections with tabs like Ashlee from Gathered and Grounded does. You have so many great videos coming up that I’m trying to decide if I should wait and binge watch or just watch when they are released🤔.
Haha hold those pearls 😂 Those pre made science kits are life giving for sure! Ooohhh thank you for the suggestion on the notebook! I’ll look that up. 😂 pace yourself, I hope you enjoy them all.
We used MBTP for elementary for my oldest then wanted to try some other options. We came back to it for several lit, ss and science units this year and are loving it again. Such a great line up of activities to teach a wide variety of topics.
Great picks for your daughter’s 6th grade curriculum. I have never heard of Berean Builders science but it sounds interesting. I’m still trying to decide on a science for my rising 6th grader.
I love MBTP reading units! Just throwing it out there, the MBTP history units are also pretty amazing and offer those different perspectives that other curriculums lack. We have used them in the past for 4th/5th grade, took a break from them, but decided we will be adding some of those in this school year to supplement certain topics. Love your choices !
I love seeing your Curriculuum. You really helped me to realize I needed to get my daughter on vocabulary. It was just in time too. So we are doing Wordly Wise 4. And thank you for letting us know of all the novels you guys have been reading. My daughter is now excited about reading. I let her listen to your girls and that was a blessing. She looks forward to reading her books. She’s on the SOS Substitute books and Nikki and Deja. And we read The Green Embers together. It all gave us so many books and started me down a rabbit hole of looking for books. Just want you to know how much a blessing your ripple effect for us. ❤ And I’m excited to see you trying IEW… that’s what we are doing for 5th year also. -April
We adore Notgrass… they don’t have all perspectives but in the younger grades they definitely highlighted different people of color we’ve never heard of in their human interest portions as we walked through the states.
I’ve done one of the younger years I link for you. I will still try to do an updated one as well. 😀 ua-cam.com/video/XrZ--YnRyT4/v-deo.htmlsi=SeDGMsXKpdW0FZpF
We "plan" on using: LA - IEW 1B, Fix It! Grammar Robin Hood, Spelling Workout F, Novel Ties (for literature studies), Cursive from IEW Math - División Facts That Stick (struggle área), Math Mammoth 5 (their math it's slightly advanced), math board games Science: Elemental Science: Earth Science & Astronomy for the Logic Stage S.S./History - Story of the World 3 with additional readings and the test workbook, Mark Twain US History books if we finish SOTW early
You absolutely can choose what books you want. You’re not required to buy the entire grade but that is an option if you want that. On the website, you can search by grade and see what’s available then choose which ones you’d like.
Yes! I typically find the literature unit on Rainbow resources and grab the book used if I can find it or on Amazon. Sometimes buying the set on Rainbow Resources is cheaper if they’re having a sale.
Commenting even before the video because I'm excited! 😆🎉🎉🎉
Hope you enjoyed it! 😀
Hi! Requesting a Not Consumed Reading Journal flip through, please. 😊

That is awesome! We will likely do more of them in the future. We truly do love MBTP!

Couldn't agree more! They do have great, diverse history units. We will definitely be doing more studies.

That’s so good to hear. I’m glad it was helpful. I will definitely do an update on IEW!
That’s so good to know about the younger grades! Thank you for sharing that.
We love IEW but we are flexible with it, one week takes us 3 weeks, the last week my daughter types up her essay.
Thank you! I love that there’s room for flexing the schedule to our needs.
Yeah I'm not too picky about the dress ups either.. we love it though@@LifeofTillmans
We definitely plan on using IEW all the way through high school. We're using structure and style 1A and stretched it out.
@@MsZarate88I’m hoping it’s something we can stick with for long term use.
New subscriber here ❤ could you do a flip through of wordly wise please? I am not too familiar with it.
I’ve done one of the younger years I link for you. I will still try to do an updated one as well. 😀
