At 9:05 I love the smile on your daughter’s face as you give her that positive feedback. You’re such a sweet mom and you can see she feels so good to make you proud 🥹
Love how independent she is! My daughter is in 4th but we're working on it as well. My daughter also loves writing and art so I've been really enjoying watching your homeschool videos.
Thank you so much !!!That is amazing your daughter loves writing and art too!! It is so awesome when they get to this age and we can see our kiddos interest. 💛
This was extremely helpful for me to learn from. I have a 3rd grade child and tho’ I’m a little ways from 6th grade, it was challenging to see the good habits that I can nurture now that can benefit us before middle school begins. Thanks very much. 👍🏽💪🏽
Thank you for bringing up the middle school planning for a college path! We are approaching that point soon (early high school credits) and appreciate seeing families who have already done this successfully!
I absolutely love your videos Brittany! What vocabulary curriculum is Brielle using? Also, her pencil case is adorable. And the student planner…love it! May God continue to bless you and your family..❤
My 4th grader loves watching Brielle. She doesn't know this one is published so I'll watch it with her this morning over breakfast for fun. Your videos on Math helped me find Math-U-See. Brielle -- way to go! You have a fun club with homeschool kids in case you didn't know.
Thank you so much for sharing. This is our second year of homeschool and our last year of elementary. I must say it's been very emotional and frustrating but I can't work away. You have been such a blessing to me and my daughter. You've given me the courage to become a homeschool mom. Sharing the different curriculars has opened up new ideas and ways for me to teach and for her to learn. I still have my moments where I don't feel like I'm doing it right or that I'm enough so I pick up my Homeschool Bravely for a little spiritual pick me up. My next goal is to add bible study because the word is so refreshing, plus my early elementary years had prayer in the schools and church every Sunday. Yes, I'm a country girl(South Carolina). I will be sharing your video with my daughter because struggles a little with independence. God Bless!
New subscriber - love this video! I’ve got a 6th grader this year, too. I’m impressed by your daughter’s drive and dedication, and her writing goal! I have a feeling she’s going to smash it!
Thank you for this. Can we see how you do homeschool with the little ones too? I saw in the video you had them sitting down. I can’t get my 3 year old to sit still at all and homeschool only lasts 1.5 to 2 hours with 3 subjects only.
Thanks for sharing ❤ Been following you for awhile and always enjoyed how you home school. I have a 6th grader and 2 toddlers. I appreciate you sharing your 6th graders path to high school/ college. I would love to see how you home school your toddlers. Thanks
Can you do a video speaking to how you're preparing for dual enrollment? I'm also in GA, and I'll have a 6th grader next year, and I'd really like to know more about this, but I can't seem to find resources for preparing for this.
I’m about 3 months into homeschooling and I’m ready to send my 2 girls back. 6th & 7th grade😢. I honestly don’t want to be a teacher so I did purchase an online program. But I just feel like more needs to be done, I also feel like they’re not paying enough attention on the videos to actually grasp the information. They be asking me questions and I’m not the best for answers 😮😮😮. I’m just really at my wits end with homeschooling although I do feel they need to be homeschooled of that makes senses😮
Hi, I am new here on this channel and I am in 12th grade, I am going to be homeschooled for the first time next school year, I was kicked out of charter school at the end of my junior year for fighting and I did virtual school as well but withdrew at mid of my 12th grade because it wasn't flexible and self-paced, my mom thought it was best to do traditional homeschool me due to my behavior problems. I only have 22.50 credits out of 24.00 credits in high school, I only need three classes which are English 4, Algebra 2, and U.S. Government. So I have a few questions. 1) How many lessons can I do per day in each three classes? , How long do typically units or modules end for each chapter of the lessons? 2) What are the pros and cons of homeschooling? What are the benefits and drawbacks of homeschooling? 3) What age are homeschoolers from minimum age to maximum age? , What age would it consider not being able to qualify for homeschooling? (I have IEP and it says that the services are from 21 to 22 years old, I am 19 years old so I am not sure if this also applies to homeschooling as well)
Thank you for sharing! I also have a 6th grader and like seeing other routines 🙂 How does your daughter like IEW? Given that she naturally enjoys writing, does she find the structure of IEW engaging? I am considering it for next year for my girls. Also do you mind sharing where her school planner is from? Thank you!
We have a 4th grader and we're working to getting to more independent work but we have time to get there. Also do you have a link for her pencil case, I loved those as a kid 😊
You will get there !!! My daughter did not become independent until the end of her 5th grade year. And we go her pencil case from Marshalls on sale !! I had to grab it 😍
@sarahe7515 yes, you are not alone. I feel like the whole covid speed bump did us an injustice in the reading and comprehension category so we're focusing there to build up 🥰
@brittanyolga yes!! We will get there when the time is writing, not rushing it either 😊 and ok I'm going to have to go om a scavenger hunt to some Marshall's
Does your daughter play with your younger kids during the day? I have a 6th grade son who is studious but finds it hard to focus knowing that his younger brothers are done with school so much faster then him. He is in his own space, his brothers are 10, 7 and 4.
Yes all day long too lol !!! I have to still remind her to stay focus during her breaks. She takes a long break during lunch time to play with her younger siblings.
I really love your videos, and find them super helpful! (Fan feedback) I'd request no more with your kids in the footage. You never know what they might find embarrassing or wish was private in the future. I mean this with nothing but kindness. More just you, no kids please. I don't think you did anything inappropriate, just something to keep in mind!
You're an amazing resource for me! I'd love a whole video about your daughter's college path, if you ever want to share. Thanks for a great video.
I would love to see a video about that too!
Could you share your middle daughters daily routine? I’m gonna be doing kinder and 2nd so I’m just interested ❤
the big white board to do her work is genius!
OMG! I just discovered your UA-cam channel today. It’s a goldmine 🌟 Thank you for all the advice and recommendations!
As a Muslim woman, I find it pretty cool that your daughter is learning about my religion lol

The picture of her mosque is beautiful 😍

Yes! It is so important to prepare especially in these middle school years and not wait !! 💛
I absolutely love your videos Brittany! What vocabulary curriculum is Brielle using? Also, her pencil case is adorable. And the student planner…love it! May God continue to bless you and your family..❤

Even if to repeat, videos like this are great because I watch in front of my kids and it's a great example for them as well as great motivation.
Same here. I watched some in front of my daughter too. This was great inspiration!

Please visit Türkiye. Your daughter would love it! 😊

Do you grade in your homeschool? Just wondering since she is on a college path. Looking to see if you have any videos on that, I love your videos!

How long does your 6th grader spend on school work each day?
My 6th grader does school for 3.5 to 4 hours a day. 😊
Can you choose different levels for different subjects with IXL?
We have a 4th grader and we're working to getting to more independent work but we have time to get there. Also do you have a link for her pencil case, I loved those as a kid 😊
My 9 year old still isn’t independent. She was getting there and then it went backwards. I am glad to read this to know that I am not alone.
