I very much appreciate your hard work being school as it is evident you dont have to unlearn all of the errors picked up by us self taught musicians thanks again
I am taking the garota for a stroll with my bass. Hope you don't mind. I'll bring her back for breakfast after practice . Thanks for the pointers Jared
After all these useful information, couldn't find anything except not blinking Eyes??????? well, dude! wake up! You have to listen and look at the Bass and Bass Lines not the EYES! You are in a Class, not a Bar trying hitting on a Girl!!!
OK, as a brasilian bassist I can make a little correction to your class: in Bossa and Samba, it´s better to use ghost notes. I saw the ghost notes appear in your transcription, but when you play, the it are not perceptable. It´s very important to maintain he appropriate "swing"
Minor is usually typed with a lower case (m), and major with an upper case (M). This may be different in other genres, but in Jazz music this is how it is typically written.
Congratulations on the video production and initiative. But it is not reflecting the reality of Brazilian thinking. Just as I would not know how to convey the reality of jazz groove, as we all in Brazilians respect a lot.
this guy just doesnt blink at all!! .. great video btw :)
It's one of my many skills
"stare deep into my eyes and see the hollows of thy soul, now play a Bb.."

excelent Jared, since Dominicana Republic
Good job tnks.
You really use only two notes, root and 5th. But It makes me feel many more notes are played. This is the very bass line. Thanks a lot.
Hello, why you choose to repeat the second finger in the percussive explanation? Why not alternate finger 1 and 2 ?
BECAUSE METH SAYS SO
DUDE BLINK
Nah, blinking is over-rated.

i need this cuz my bossa nova bass lines are needing more than just the same pattern over each of the chords.

Most of use I 4 string bass.
Oh my, you never blynk!
Here's the legendary musician Bob Strauch's version with his own lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/IDxLedytMm0/v-deo.html
Weird. I’ve never seen a flat 5 on the Gb7.
I thought you were only supposed to right an "M" after a chord if it was minor...

Thanks Jared. I subb'd your chanel. I'm going to be scrolling thru your vids to see if there is one on "tapping". cheers!
