  • I replaced the blower motor resistor for my air conditioner in my 2010 Scion XD. The controls appeared to work and I could feel heat and cold, but the blower wasn't kicking on. A rusted resistor was the reason! This should be a similar process for Toyota or Scion cars. Vans are in a different location and I'm not sure about trucks. The basics of unplugging the electric harness, unscrewing 2 screws should be the same for most vehicles. just a matter of finding the location of the resistor.

We have same year xD ours is in Black, we bought it for our daughter in 2013. Only car she's had. You can't beat a Toyota. Thank you for your videos. I need to change out the headlights on the car soon so your headlight video is much appreciated.

My Scion sure has been a good choice. She's in good hands with a Toyota. I'm glad the video helped.

If its getting rusty like that the drain hose is probably clogged up if the you hear liquid or the floorboard is wet.

My drain hose continuously clogged and then it just stopped working. Guessing after this video that it's the resistor. Any idea why the hose would keep clogging though?
