Now installed -- only took me 3 YEARS to get around to it! Got the Miata MX5 RF in October 2017 and the camera kit at the same time.
Took me a long time as I had a few small problems removing trim and routing cable through the dash to the right side of the car. Everything works perfectly the first time and I LOVE the camera and quality of the kit. Viewed some other videos and played in slow motion to follow the details.

Does this have dynamic parking lines that turn with the wheel or is it a countdown when put in reverse
I installed mine in a 2016 Grand Touring about 3 years ago. A year ago, I noticed the image rolling slowly in the monitor. It did this for a few days and then completely stopped working. I disconnected the camera at the connector in the trunk, reconnected it followed by the battery, and the camera came back to life. A week ago, I started to see the same problem with the rolling image and now the camera died again. I'll follow my previous procedure to try to reanimate the system, but why is this happening? I'm in Florida and snow or cold weather is not an issue. I might accuse heat and rain but we've had 3 cool months along with a record breaking drought.

i have the standard sport model nd mx5 with just am fm radio , can a display unit off a gt fit straight in or is the wiring different , please help someone .

i have a mazda mx5 nd , it does not have a display screen radio , it only has radio . i would like to fit reverse camera but i have no screen only am fm radio . thats how the sport came . so i need to change the radio with a display screen on it . the wiring is different to the standard radio . how do i replace the radio due to the wiring being different on to the back of the radio unit .

something like an extension or the oem plugs but has a backup camera wire ?

May have been to cycle the power, but I would've disconnected the battery before working with any electrical in a car. Just helps prevent any accidental shorts.
