    Great video. Thank you! I am preparing to install the 10K version of this unit. I did read that many people have had issues with the fan coming loose very quickly and recommend removing and reinstalling the fan and its fasteners with blue Loc-tite to assure problem free operation moving forward. Other than this people seem to love this unit! Use it in good health and thanks for sharing.

    I put that heater in my old house and bought another one for my new house. They work great. Only thing is you should use two black and a green or a red and black and green. White is used for a neutral and you have two hot wires. You can mark the white wire with black or red tape at the ends.

    I like the grey conduit you used to run your romex wire through. Looks cleaner.

    How loud is that heater? Did it keep a certain temp during the whole day and night?

    Put some black electrical tape around the white wire at each end to indicate that it’s being used as a hot instead of a neutral.

    Helpful video, thanks. The only directions I’ve seen online suggested white wire to L1, does that matter? Electrical noob.

      No that doesn’t matter on that wiring setup.

    Did you use 1/2” or 3/4” conduit for 8/2?

    Did you use a GFCI breaker or just a regular 30amp breaker ?

    Thanks for the videos, But what about the "Heat Storm" update, is it still working in the furnace room?

      It is working perfectly. I was using it all last week remotely via the app and it kept the room at a nice 60F while it was -11 outside.

    Dose the fan shut off when it reaches temp or the fan just keeps blowing ?

    • @WalnutSprings
      @WalnutSprings  9 місяців тому +1

      It shuts off. Then kicks back on when the temp drops below your setting.

    My metal box in attic has 8/3 wire. Should I buy 8/3 wire or 8/2 wire for the heater wire to the box? Or does it matter?

    • @WalnutSprings
      @WalnutSprings  9 місяців тому +2

      The manufacturer says 8/2 but 8/3 will work you just won’t use one of the wires. But I am not an electrician so you might consult with one.

    What face plate did you use to connect the conduit to the gang box? Also, is that 1” liquidtight conduit? Looking to make a similar install and having a hard time piecing it all together.

    • @WalnutSprings
      @WalnutSprings  8 місяців тому

      I used a blank wall plate and drilled it out. It is liquid tight conduit. I liked the look of it.

      @@WalnutSprings Every time I noticed, you will keep saying they Who’s there? Is it the company or the heater?

    If you look at reviews of that brand, the units are hit & miss. I even read the reviews of US-made electric garage heaters and the same. Why this has become hit-and-miss quality is that the companies making them think we're idiots who need to replace these things every five yrs. Or....if we get a bad one, get a replacement and try again. Cheaply made, the companies can shoulder high failure rates and replacements. Or....just pay their customer service people to live in Malaysia.
