Why almost noone talks about the huge amount of arabs around palestine who went there up to 1945? Started since 1914 or 1922. There were jews and arabs in the land. That argument of land grabbers must be shreded once for all. Israelis avoid saying this because it will be harsh. 2 state solution was put on the table 5 times..and in the next 5 ou 10 or more years seems it will not happen.

Jewish students on Stanford campus should file the same suit. Their Dean refused to head off intense antisemitism and the favoring of Palestinians, the Arab student group that claimed 30% of the Stanford commons.

until I started hearing about this in the news recently, I had no idea that this is going on. It is abhorrent !
Me supporting the Free Palestine movement is now but a once-upon-a-time story. Sure my friends can still continue but I've given up, and once again give responsibility to Israel to solve this mess.
If they are successful in their lawsuit, my voice will join those in support of those in the Jewish community celebrating the win. Harvard needs to feel some financial pain because of the hostile environment they have created.

I just watched an Israeli broadcast where a father of a killed IDF soldier tried for the last few months to get the remains of his young son returned. He first got the body only as the head had been decapitated. After questions were posed to captured Palestinians, he learned that his son's head was being sold for the equivalent of about $10,000, and was being stored in an athletic bag in an freezer. As a kid who grew up in the time of exploding buses, I can attest that it means something like “violent uprising”. Having said that, what he said was superficial, and I noted that too - even though he was speaking “for me” so to speak - . He could have said “a call for a violent global uprising against jews”, which would be more accurate, and bad enough. No need to embellish the ugly truth.

I am one of those “liberal elite woke” types with a master’s degree from Harvard (EdM ‘91). I must say that I don’t appreciate being painted with the brush of anything you think you know about my views of Israel, Gaza, and this war. Democrats and liberals are not a monolith, no more than Jews, Israelis, Palestinians, Americans generally, and the people who love and support them are a monolith. Points of view in a democratic republic require safety and speech, amongst people who have the character to think, to listen carefully and respectfully, and to reflect upon what they’ve heard and learned with regard for all concerned. Let’s try that for a change.

November 1, 2023 A Jewish student at Harvard was surrounded and harassed by pro-Palestinian demonstrators and was blocked from leaving.
