I was 16 years old (1971) and had met my first true love and listened to this beautiful song over and over. Still have the disc. You get a little nostalgic when I turn 70 in the autumn. And remember all the nice songs. And really longing to return to a bygone era
I was 15 years old when this song came out and I stayed in my bedroom and played all of Lobo songs over and over . I love all his music and he has such a great voice ❤️
My parents must have loved this song, I heard it all the time when I was a kid. Still one of my favorite songs to chill out to. I'm 57 now and just started playing the guitar, this song is at the top of my list to learn!
Still the most powerful song that brings back my memories of being discharged after 3 combat tours in Vietnam. I walked out the gate to no one and went on the road for two years. I’m 76 now and although standing upright I still hear my Vietnam ghost calling me back when I hear this song. The sounds and smells never left me. Thanks for being in my life Lobo for all of these years.

The iconic beat, rythm, and sound is still there, and in my mind Lobo is a very underratede singer and songwriter. I wish Lobo the best, and thank you for giving us the Joy of listning to this masterpiece of a song, God bless you Lobo ☮
Lobo, Seals and Crofts and Neil Diamond among others were the sounds that formed my music listening to this day. Lobo's The Albatross still brings chills to me.
A song that has staying with me since 70s..still listen to it in my rig cranked up when 4x4ing.. thank you for such a great song. Makes me fill good when i hear it.
Loved this song from when I was little mum had a little dog named boo ❤ funny just got a little dog and named her boo❤ mum is no longer here she passed away 24 years ago 😢
The first time I recalled hearing this song and other Lobo hits was in 1980 when I was four years old. I play Lobo greatest hits CD once a week. My 9 and 4 year old sons are also fans of Lobo. 🙂
Thank you Kent for your great talent. You have been and still are my favourite artist of all time. I had all your recordings from the 70s. You are an inspiration. I would have loved to see you live.
Your song reminds me of my 5 week tour of the US Summer of 1975. We had an old milk van and put a bed and dresser inside. I will never forget traveling through the badlands after hitting Yellowstone park. Scary, but a blast! Salt Lake City, Reno, then San Francisco, down to LA, SanDiego, across through Flagstaff, and the southern states. They really do say “ Y’all come back now hear!” Hit Disney-world, then up through Georgia, Washington DC..and back to PA. That was the trip of my lifetime, and this song still reminds me! Thank you! 🤗
As I listened to this song just now, I realized something. For fifty years, whenever I stop and listen to it, I am always visualizing the storyline as it rolls along. I think the music entices you to join the trip.
The story that begins it all for you, Lobo ! I use this song to introduce my students to my all-time favorite singer-writer and to teach them some good English as well ! As a matter of fact, this very song inspired me to improve my English when I was just 13 - and I hope it will the younger generation, too ! Btw, congratulations - this year is actually the 50th anniversary of MAYAADNB and your first album, Introducing Lobo ! As I always say, nobody sings this song better than you - and you prove it here, too ! Keep on entertaining us here - you have our undivided support ! 😍
In 1969 I was 18 years old and I was fanatical about golden age pop music from the UK, Europe in general and the USA. I read Record World weekly and I once saw a little note, really little, saying: Big Tree Records is going to have a big hit with Lobo, "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo." Prophetic words.
Kent, Thank you for launching this channel. You have been my favorite solo artist since the first time I heard you on the radio probably singing "I'd Love You to Want Me" You've still got it and I'm so excited to hear what's next. Keep them coming.
I remember when this song hit the radio - I was a senior in high school. I've listened to this great song hundreds of times and have never gotten tired of listening to it. And this video shows that Lobo has still got it! A classic 1970's American song. Is that the same D-18 you used to play it with 50 years ago?
I heard this song ones as a kid on the radio but they never good the name of the singer Those were the days way before the internet. It took years to find out who it was i bought the cassette tape and repeat the shit out of it sooooo happy😂😂😂 best freedom song ever ☝️ greetings from the Netherlands everyone ❤️🙏
1st heard this tune during my teens in the 90's . ❤️🐾!. . My mom's cassette collection. She's a Generation Jones (born 1956-1964) .Back in the day, songs like would be labelled as Folk Rock. Nowadays, it'd be considered Indie Folk. Thanks for doing a live version Lobo 😊
This is fantastic! What a wonderful and very personal way to see and hear the person who is for many of us our all time favorite singer/songwriters. A timeless voice that consistently has maintained its same pleasing tonal quality over the many decades.
I always enjoyed the different recordings including cover songs because this song brings very powerful memories of the past that were filled with innocence.
Recently needed to buy a new/used truck, and have some trips coming in nxt few months....Magically , your song here ( that I DO remember VERY well) started playing in my brain and stays with me daily. TYVM for your work then and now.
Fantastic Lobo! I have followed your music since I was a teenager which was a very long time ago. Glad I found your channel. Please keep the music coming.
I’m 64 now and was trying to play Chevy van and caught with your gem of a tune. Well now I’m spreading the love thanks for a great song.

Your words read like lyrics to a song, that if written, could hit the top 10 charts. Thank you for your sacrifice. 🫡
