I just want to say I love your appreciation of SuA-a lot of reactors who aren’t OT7 are (rightfully) mesmerized by Siyeon or Dami’s charisma, or JiU’s smile, or Gahyeon’s expressions, or they just drool over Yoohyeon, but I very rarely see dedicated Handong or SuA appreciation and it warms my heart.
The sign language choreo gives this song an intimate and caring feeling. That they and their music is with us, understands us, and will never leave us. Family, best friends, soul mates... That's what they are to us
18:11 LOL well it’s because they had a cardboard cut out of handong there since she was in China at the moment shooting Youth With You 2 and I think someone said where the cardboard cut out of handong is so the fans could say goodbye to her too I like over the sky a lot but the first time I listened to I didn’t like it as much as I do now. When you get deeper into the bsides, their fans songs or slower/ballad songs always hit. The message from the songs are always very heart warming and meaningful to our journey (somnias&dreamcatcher) together. I know you've only seen a tiny fraction of the video that's available which shows their personalities. It's interesting how they view each other and it shows in the nicknames they gave each other when they were not well known. Jiu is the Daejeon Hurricane because the other members are continually impressed by her graceful dancing. Sua is the Masan Undertaker because she's a little scary. Handong is definitely not Ice Princess, but rather Wuhan Poison because of the way she savagely teases the others. Yoohyeon is the Inchon Firefist because she's hot. Siyeon is the Daegu Sea of Blood for her fierceness on stage. Dami is Gunpo Crazy or Pandami (she loves panda bears). Gahyeon is Bundang Thorns for her temper. I like these names better than the cute ones the company dreamed up for them.
On the topic of how long do we have, the members have been pretty adamant that they want to stick it out as long as they can. Meanwhile, their CEO is committed to keeping them recording and touring as long as they feel like it; hes famously quoted as saying if keeping them as an active group ever becomes unfeasible for any reason, he'd find them a vegetable stand if that what it takes to keep them employed
Over the sky!! Personally for me, this song ranks pretty high as I really love the message behind the song. From whatever much kpop that I've been exposed to thus far, I've never seen a group incorporate sign language into their choreography and to me that just makes it that tiny bit more special. As for their company, while they may not make the best decisions all the time, the fact that they created "dreamcatcher company" kinda shows how much they believed in the girls. Never seen any other company do that. Once you start watching more on their "behind the scenes" kinda clips, then perhaps you might be able to tell from the interaction between the girls and their staffs - and even ceo - how it's more like a huge family vibe. Also, really appreciate you bringing up more real topics like their contract and age at the end. I feel like not many talk about it and rather avoid it. Finally, thank you for your honest reaction. Full Moon was the 1st Anniversary song. Over The Sky was the 2nd Anniversary song. In this song the girls incorporated sign language in the choreo. For me personally the Anniversary songs are one of my favorite songs.
No one hears their voice the same as everyone else. This is because you hear the echoes & vibrations from with in your mouth/skull. Its also why your recorded voice sounds differently from what you hear, as it lacks the additional internal sound affects you normally pick up.
Thanks for the video. "Over the Sky" is one of their more anime sounding songs I would say. It also has one of my favorite Dami raps. Something about her flow really hits the spot for me. JiU also sound really good when she comes in on a slower end chorus after the bridge. I think It's the contrast that makes it so satisfying to hear. Also haven't noticed the harsh S sound that you said you had. Haha. Again, I totally get your fustration. The feeling pops up a lot even to this day. But I'm glad I know them now.

over the sky was their closer song for concerts up until new days came out. it's so great to hear it performed live and as the last song because it makes you want more \:D/
They haven't made much money for most of their careers. They live in company housing not because they want to, but because they can't afford to live in Seoul any other way. Jiu has family in Seoul so she goes back and forth. Up until at least when Scream was released they were still receiving financial aid from their parents. Happyface created their Dreamcatcher Company sub-label to simplify their finances and make sure that all the money they brought in was going to support their activities. Happyface was founded by E-tribe, the producers of Girls Generation's massive hit Gee and not by businessmen, so I think that's why the company is more like a family and doesn't exploit their artists. Their contracts are probably coming up for renewal next year so who knows what will happen. They've been very lucky so far with injuries and haven't lost anyone. With the intense choreo they do, the possibility of injury increases greatly as they approach 30. Most groups do lose members to injuries as Twice has with Jeongyeon and Super Junior with Heechul, or the stress of the life causes emotional issues as happened with Twice's Mina and with Day 6. I hope they will go on to their next careers healthy and happy, and I think they will.
If you looking for Handong on the live stage performance in the LA concert, that was the time she wasn't with them for the whole tour, she was in China. At the venue I was at, we had an InSomnia brought in a life size cut out of Handong. But each stop had a cut out of Handong, but our stop we had the full body Handong lol. And as i'm typing this now, DC is in NY!!!! they are performing tonight! i'm so jelly of my friend who is going there. (met him on the first DC concert tour) i couldn't get the NY do to scalpers, hence why i cant' make it to NY :(
17:00 "SUAAAAA" killed me 22:30 I'm not entirely sure but I believe Siyeon is very wary of her forehead at times. I think they're trying to cover it. Although I could be wrong and her forehead seems fine to me.
JiU, Siyeon and Yoohyeon have really bad eyesight, they still wear fake glasses instead. I'm not sure about Gahyeon needing them. The forehead thing has to do with Siyeon having a big forehead and everybody touching it for good luck. They have a good bond with their staff and ceo, they have all paid off the idol debt and are earning at this point. They get self actualization opportunities and were told to work on the production, composition and lyric writing process for their solos. I recommend the "between dreamcatcher and me" interview.

It's how I learned my second and third languages, and now I'm picking up Korean pronunciation through music, too, so...maybe it has to do with the fact that the way you use your muscles is already different and more fluid when you're singing, so it's actually easier to adapt to sounds you don't use everyday? Or maybe I'm crazy; who knows.

i think we all have heard about the strict kpop diet companies usually make their groups follow or something like that, but i think i read somewhere about happyface/dreamcather company getting asked about the girl's diets, and they were like "what diet? nah fam, gotta have em backstage kfc's and minji mukbangs!" or something like that, not the exact wording used of course, i don't remember the details but anyway, my point is, they stuck with the girls and so will we, insomnias.

Please check out Rolling Quartz. They’re a rookie female rock band and fans of DC too. They like Good Night so much that they remake it, include it in their first album and even shot an MV for it. Their own songs are bangers too, like Delight and Holler. My favourite is Azalea but this one is also a remake

It's very common to see idols wearing casual practice clothes with their concert merch as their tshirts and hats. Both boy groups and girl groups does it. Recently I saw Stray Kids encore performance video and they were just wearing sweatpants with their tshirt merch and some of them even looked like they were wearing pyjamas hahaha
To clarify, no problems with casual wear! :) They don't have to be dressed up all the time for sure. In this case, I had a thought that had a "begone" moment midway through it.
