It's good to see you back Andy! I hope you're doing well. They put out an announcement about Siyeon's hiatus and it mentioned health and anxiety. She later got on Fromm and said not to worry, that it was something she's always dealt with, and she'd put off dealing with it because she wanted to keep performing. She let everyone know that she was resting well and that she'd be back as soon as she could. After Villains was announced to be a duology and we started to wrap our heads around OOTDs concept I knew that the follow up was going to be a complete 180 from OOTD. I figured it would be one of their heaviest Korean songs to date, and it definitely is. Justice is so empowering and epic, it's quickly become one of my favorite titles. The sub-genre of rock that influences Justice is Post Modern Hardcore, which happens to be one of my favorite rock sub-genres. Groups like Bring Me the Horizon, I Prevail, Dance Gavin Dance, and Pierce the Veil are some of my favorites in this genre. I also feel like this song has some elements that could be in a Polyphia track. I definitely think that 1theK performance is 100% live with no back track and no vocal editing. It sounds like raw vocals which is insane. 2 Rings definitely sounds a bit like a mix of country, rock, funk, and a dash of daft punk for good measure. I agree, those outfits are much better...and really dangerous. Handong does indeed need to put her jacket back on. I really enjoy the intro, but I don't think it has the impact as some of their other Intros. It doesn't feel a bit like something an 80's metal band would have playing before a concert at times. My wife heard me listening to it and asked, "What in the 80's am I listening to?", lol. Stomp, to me, sounds like it belongs in a League of Legends Worlds music video. It's gives me that same feeling that their Rise MV has. Getting back up when you get knocked down, overcoming obstacles, emerging victorious. Fireflies is gorgeous. All the 2 and 3-part harmonies in the song are just ridiculous and the acapella ending is just breathtaking. I think it's my favorite ballad from them. Villains and Virtuous both have a bunch of new vocal and instrumental experimentation and have just made me more excited to be a fan and to see what they do in the future. The girls continue to improve and perfect their craft and I'm consistently amazed at what they can do. I think the 8th person at the end of Justice is the person in the text message 91. They are the character 9mynameis_1 who's been part of the ARG for the Villains and Virtuous. Edited to add that it looks like Justice is breaking records and is being well received both inside and outside the fandom. I've seen a bunch of new people find Dreamcatcher and Justice and absolutely love it and I've seen some people who haven't reacted to them in years who are falling in love all over again with Justice so I think this might be one of their most successful comebacks yet if this continues.

I love how Justice sounds. Everyone had showcased their strong vocals, and I'm impressed because they've really come so far. OOTD was okay, but it was also not my cup of tea. So this comeback was very redeeming for me.
Since LEEZ left the company Ollounder has been collaborating with Eden's crew from Ateez. This album is the purest example of the transition away from LEEZ's vision and into something new. Ollounder was always the rock guy of the duo.The Bon Voyage album is were it began, and I don't think it's complete yet. The direction of the group, as the members have said, is toward performance as they've transitioned into a touring group since the end of Covid lockdown that confined them to recording studios and livestream concerts with no audience. Dreamcatcher are most alive on stage in front of an audience despite the stress of touring which took it's toll on Siyeon.
as a certified ballad hater, I agree, this is possibly their best ballad, because I'm a harmonies junkie, fine FINE you win dreamcatcher!!!! you made me not loathe a ballad 💀
After more listening for me Stomp is on par with Justice, might even be better. Definitely banger Also for your comment about having doubts after OOTD, I never have one. When I listened their music for the first time, I'm skeptical as hell. Sure I liked what I listened, but it took the whole Dystopia trilogy to finally convinced me. I bought Summer Holiday as my first album from them, and never looked back For me, one of the reason I like the most about them is they don't afraid to be creative. They don't follow trends and liked to experiment in many genres while still in their own style. Even OOTD, despite others have mixed reception about it, is still the product of their experimentation and I loved them for it

In the dance practice, you can see them compromise a few dance moves to hit the highnotes in the chorus. The choreography this time, look and feel more difficult but less iconic I think. I actually this choreography, it's very fluid and symbolic, telling the story while looking badass.
Justice is definitely top 3 DC title tracks for me, the other 2 being Bonvoyage and Deja Vu. On the other hand, OOTD is among my least favourite, but it didn’t turn me off; I still do enjoy it quite a bit.

OOTD ... does it have iconic dance? like, I forgot about Chase Me; Goodnight has the opening; Fly high I don't know; You & I maybe most iconic by Dami's magic, ending pose, opening; What has opening and chorus; Piri also great opening and some iconic; Deja Vu has move that repeating in my mind; Scream BOCA Odd Eye they have iconic hand; BEcause opening; MAISON VISION BON VOYAGE have it; OOTD not iconic enough, Justice has scale and crown like formation but not enough for iconic dance. Also Siyeon only have few line, that she not usually did. but Justice is epic!

It's hilarious watching you try to justify why you don't like ootd lol. I personally dislike all day long, no dot and you and I for a variety of reasons which are all considered fandom favorites and people get mighty offended about it. It's just preference. I think in general fandoms have this ride or die attitude where you can't be anything but super hyped about every single song, especially when it has a member attached to its production in some way. Sometimes you just don't vibe with a song despite it being good like what happened for me with those 3 songs.

@@shortrader all day long is boring to me, I generally don't like songs that have that kind of music or rhythm. Its the kind of beat that would put me to sleep and the effect on the voices triggers my migraine. I also find it to be Jiu's least interesting composition with Dear's lyrics being far more soulful and jazz bar and real miracle being her peak as a lyricist. You can kind of tell Jiu was struggling with the lyrics with how repetitive they are considering what she can produce. No dot is great musically but the lyrics are kind of badly slapped together, and You and I is different case because I find the chorus somewhat empty compared to the super atmospheric verses and bridge which I think are gorgeous but I think I overplayed it.

What a crazy thing to say… of course it comes down to personal music taste. It’s ok not to like a certain song that gets released, because it’s not your cup of tea. Either way Andy says that he still very much appreciates the music they put out and I actually really respect that he is honest with his initial reactions. If you don’t like that type of stuff then simply don’t watch his content and especially don’t comment “you’re exactly what’s wrong in the fandom” because it was very unnecessary. Also he’s a big Dreamcatcher fan so of course he’s happy that they are still together, he’s not putting anyone down.
