- www.buyanalogma... The new Astrotone fuzzbox from the master of all, analog man. Improved reproduction of the 60's Sam Ash Fuzz Boxxx. Great for live use in your rig. All hand wired, and master built by AnalogMike. A bargain at $185 for sure. Get one while ya can!
I got this pedal two weeks ago,it is not as analog Mike says himself,a super thick compressed fuzz. This pedal is a very musical sounding fuzzy /distortion that sounds really good with humbuckers as well as S.C.I run mine with a tube screamer in front of it and it sounds amazing. If you turn the fuzz up all the way you can get a slight octave up effect, that sounds great with the neck pickup. And it sounds clear as a bell when played in a band setting.
I'm telling you, GMD is endorsing for various beer companies...
...BeerManDude!
I got a Astro Tone Fuzz pedal today. It is friggin awesome. This is the first AnalogMan pedal I have gotten, it will not be my last.
The Analogman Astrotone, his version of the Sam Ash Fuzz is a great pedal. The Sam Ash fuzzes are awesome. When I was in junior high my older sister was going to Fontbonne Hall Academy in Brooklyn, my mom used to chaperone the dances and would take me so I could watch the bands. One time a band named Heritage was playing, the guitarist played a white Telecaster through a SUNN head and cab with a Sam Ash Fuzz. This was the first time I heard a live band use a fuzz and it was amazing, just glorious. I’m glad he’s making the Astrotone. 🇺🇸👮🏻♂️🎸
Could you do a comparison between this and the Sunface? I could send you a beer, if that would help.
On the KOT waiting list but watching all these A MAN demos I finally came across a store with this baby and I’m so happy I did awesome sounds out of this pedal hope it sounds as good out of my SG as it does it of that LP or at least close
@Materhorn86 No,I was not getting too much extra noise with my TS9,but the TS9 was not cutting the mustard as far as being able to drive my fuzz pedals in general(the dreaded "mid hump").Soooo,I went with the Barber LTD,which is MUCH more transparent and adjustable(there is 2 internal trimpots for bass and treble)and with the Barber LTD my clean channel gain sounds much more natural, almost like its a part of the amp itself.(I only use the clean channel on my tube amp)Good luck on your"Tonequest"
I thought about that too. But, I believe analogman is out of NY, priority mail in February means there's a good chance of the beer being somewhat cool. Plus, Analogman sent him a beer. That's pretty cool. I really do have a life, you'll just have to take my word for it.
oh nice so this pedal CAN get woolier and fuzzier than what most people are demo'ing it as you showed in the beginning. . . I keep hearing it that I want less crunch and more smooth saturation with fatness and you dialed it right in. I kept hearing people running this as more of an OD or distortion box and was wanting more of the fuzzy wuzzy
Fuzzes are also a tough one. When they work right they are brilliant but it can be so difficult to get the right one in the sweet spot with your (one's) gear...
I’m a simple man. If it’s a fuzz made by Analog.man I buy it.
Yeah buddy awesome sounds just got one of these can’t wait to explore the possibilities with all my different guitars and amps.
you can do it with every guitar that has volume knobs for each pickup
turn down the volume of one pickup to zero and then switch between them with the toggle switch
Sounds f***ing sweet! Think it's time to get rid of my Big Muff and get one of these babys...
@Derveregun I wanted a Sun Face. But Based on GMD's videos I'm finding the Astro Tone to be more musical. It is also more useful as an overdrive pedal. It has a lot more range. I think I'm now gassing for an Astro Tone!
i like it it sounds like a clear more manageable fuzz face
Love this one dude. This one is a keeper
I love my Astrotone. Way more than my Red Dot Sunface. Which I love a bunch.
Now this is a winner. I am not a fan of the super thick compressed sound of most fuzzes. Thanks GMD!
If pedals came with a beer, I do believe that sales would skyrocket o.O Love the fuzz, GMD!
Good vids as always but, I would've liked to hear the fuzz and tone knobs maxed.
Sweet a way for me to get free beer with awesome pedals. :DD
Dude, you should check out the new Ibanez "Darkstone" guitar for bluesy goodness/Godness. Like a Fender and a Les Paul rolled into one. No twiddle stick here. Plays and sounds like a dream and the price REALLY rocks! My mum bought herself one the other day and i been preferring it to my USA Jackson Soloist. I wish i'd bought 5 of them instead of my 1 Jackson. : (
What would be really nice is to hear that with a p-90. I'm talking zone.
Wow GMD...You do allot of Fuzz pedals I am guessing those are your favorites...I salute you GMD\m/
This is one of my fave GMD vids. Thanks man! However, it suuuure would be cool to test out this claim about the Sun Face -> Astro Tone getting a 'Spirit in the Sky' sound. Gearmandude! Make it happen! You're the shiz.
Do those pedals accually come with beer? Im really confused about that one it would make me worship them for being so awesome.....
Seems like the Sun Face’s don’t do humbuckers (Les Paul’s) justice and somehow this pedal rectifies that electronic sin. But, how does it rate with single coil guitars (Stratocasters, etc.)? This video doesn’t get into that. And of course the age old question of what magical transistors and other components does Mike Piera use in this clone of the mystical Sam Ash/ Astro Tone recreation (Ge, Si, NOS, British, English, American, Japanese, etc.) and did he just run out of those in early 2021. It certainly doesn’t contain the mystical 1966 Fairchild silicon transistors the original units had back in the day when it was raining fabulous transistors and everything sounded amazing and even sounds better now 50 years later (kinda like fine aged wine). Finally, if we dare to stack two of these magical boxes in line with each other like Leslie West supposedly did back in the day will we get even more fuzz that cuts better and is easy to dial in with almost any amp? Maybe the Analog Man Dude needs to do a “double barrel” with this pedal similar to his mystical KoT (sans the waiting list of course, we hate lists even more than we hate waiting, but we do like friendly pricing). Rock on Garth! & R
'ock on Wayne!, and most of all Rock on Leslie West! (the spirit in the sky). Hey didn’t Leslie West famously use a Les Paul Junior with a single P90 (single coil)...🙂🙃🙂
the tone is spot on to a whole lot of love by led zeppelin.
Ditto! I like my tone BRIGHT!
Awesome! =D Are you going to do a demo of this stacked with other pedals?
Love the chat, great style, keep it coming - how do you reckon this would work driving the LovePedal Believe ?
Beano boost with the astro??? I know you've got one of those too.
Hi thanks for the demo. Do you think that with this pedal I can have the sound of James Burton Elvis guitarist with the Pink tele?
i want my pedals to come with a beer!
anybody know what song is the one that plays while he's reading??
Dear GMD, can you do a demo of this with a strat?
I have the same pocket knife! Which analogman fuzz with a Nash Strat and Matchless lightning for the best tone in any sense?
@gearmanndude I am running this pedal into an already cranked Marshall, I’m getting quite a bit
Of hissing, yours hiss too? Can’t really hear it here but wanted to ask..
I bet this thing would be killer on bass.
reminds me of the triangle big muff
Nice fuzz, but how does she sound stacked?
Do you think it's better Sunface or this one?
Haha, you should start doing beer reviews.
Do an Effectrode Tube Overdrive
anygood for jimi hendrix?
now I want a beer.... D:
amazing video!! =D
Unbox it!
better into les paul than into p90's in my opinion
Fucking killer. Cheers.
ood ol' gearmanndude
was all in until I saw it came with bud light instead of miller lite
But first, LET'S LEARN.
do all anolog man pedals come with a beer????
I am a dude! And I wanna have GMD's babies! Lil GMD's---furry little GMD babies.
Digging the Astrotone. I love Analogman stuff--I have a SD9 Maxon KWS and it smokes the proverbial! I may need this one too though.
Man, would take an SG over a Les Paul anytime and a Fender Strat over them both....
GearMannDude reminds me of Jack Black XD
I have one :) :): )
@TheIsaacEaton : Aint that the truth!
Dm
@taylorjeremy71 Yeah, I just watched the video of your band playing. You must get tired of having beer thrown at you and getting booed off stage. I would rather listen to Nickelback.
hahahaahahahahahahahahahahahaahaahh
I LOVE YOU GEARMANDUDE!
....... now let's see what's in the box ........ this is like a geeky GEARWIRE video ....... gearmanndude is usually about COOL demos, what happened here ??
Humbuggies!!!
Hamburgers !!!
damn you lol
bud light lol
This guy sounds like Jack Black
I watched other videos from this guy and thought for a long time that it really was Jack Black. Its not though.
Lol
GMD, STOP testing fuzz boxes with humbuckers!!!! They all sound the same.
Hot Beer? Meh
damn, I thought I was gonna be first :(
this pedal is originally a Sam Ash Fuzz, yet another Analogman copycat pedal
Yeah cuz you can find those for a reasonable price....
That's exactly what it says on the website, we don't promote alternate facts :)

Great pedal, unbearable personality.
With respect- Why do we have to listen to you talk for 3 minutes before we hear what the pedal sounds like. Really, dude- less talk, more pedal.
I know 8 years ago but... He usually gets right on it after a minute or less. Plus, he extended the jam time here to compensate. I hope you matured in the last 8 years.
