You bought a dedicated MX bike to use it on the trails, and now complain that it doesn't have trail features? KTM makes more trail bikes than anyone else. You have/had plenty of better options for your kind of riding, yet you chose an MX bike. Those of us who actually use MX bikes for MX don't want silly things like low fuel lights cuz they're just another open circuit to potentially cause problems down the road.
I love MX bikes they put a much bigger smile on my face than trail bikes, I do all kinds of riding: trails to mx to xc and overall I prefer my mx bikes. If you you have an MX bike like you say you do then you would know that most every new bike has low fuel light indicators on them now. My 22' CRF 250r (MX bike) has one and last years KTM MX bikes had a dedicated Fi light that light up when you were low on fuel. I completely agree with you in the fact that I am all about a simple bike with less gadgets to go wrong on dedicated MX bikes. Today manufactures are doing everything they can to have one leg up on the other and unfortunately lately that has meant all these useless tech features that most don't care about.

I bought the 300sx and it’ll be a dedicated gncc bike. Only thing i need to change is a bigger tank and I’m set. I hate 18” rear wheels and the flywheel on the 300xc kills the power too much imo that’s why i went with the sx model.
KTM only makes the frame orange on special editions and the last model year of a generation. If you want an orange frame you can take it apart and powdercoat it for under $200. The rest of your complaints are subjective and typical KTM. The FI light indicates low fuel.
I agree with you there. I hate the idea that you can't kick start if there is a dead battery. I will be testing that out tomorrow when its -20 to see if it holds up in cold weather....
I agree with you on the frame, hubs, and graphics. But I want to go with an orange scheme on this bike. I've had others that I wanted to go a different route and the black frame is a lot more neutral for that. The black doesn't really add anything, but at least it doesn't distract. I might powdercoat mine which means stripping a brand new bike. Re: Hubs- I would pay the difference up front for at least the black hubs.
Firm/hard seat is almost a must for mx, u wanna be to clintch ur legs onto something thats not too soft, need to able to side on seat quite resonably fast and smooth where soft you seem to sink making sliding more difficult.
The nice thing about the black frame is your boots won't discolor them lol, the xc version of this bike is a $2k premium over the sx which is just silly.
@@kylecorbettagree with you 100%. I bought the sz bc it was $2700 cheaper than the xc and all i need to do to change it for gncc is 18” wheel, tank and maybe a flywheel, $800 to make it full gncc bike, the $2700 they charge for the difference is absurd imo.

@@kylecorbett correct. But in the video you stated you didn't know if any of the other bikes have low fuel lights. The SX models do not. The XC and I'm assuming then the 23 XC-Ws come out they will also have the fuel low light.
