As a child, we visited Estonia in the 1980s, which was occupied by the Soviet army. There was a policeman in a green uniform on every corner. When you got on the buses at the port, you had to beat up a bench and the dust would fall out of it. Later, when Estonia got rid of that filth. I would never have imagined that there was a torture chamber in use near our hotel. Walking around Tallinn was restricted, which reminded me of Dracula Castle with its hidden chambers as a child. A nightmare whose filth is allowed to go on and on. It is worth watching the film The Lives of the Others (German: Das Leben der Anderen).
