I've had loads of requests for names my husband Henrik likes and Names I Don't Like so put this together with Subscribers on my community tab! We're reacting to names you think would suit our family and naming style if we had baby number 4 - just for fun!!

I am the Ginger who suggested Esmeralda, and I agree, I thought Esmé could be used as a nickname. I was SO excited to hear my suggestion mentioned in your video! It is like a celebrity who retweets your tweet...LOL!

@@SJ_Strum yes unfortunately they do comment, but I'm older than her and we both have dark hair so we look nothing like the characters. My cousin used to my name like in the movie frozen but it's pronounced the traditional way
I know a sibling set called Will & Grace. This was after the show, but it may not have been as popular in NZ in its first couple of seasons.
My older sister is an Elsa and I'm Anabel but we were born looooong before the movie

I totally love watching the two of you. My great grandfather was an Emil and the name is really trending in Germany at the moment. We are more on the traditional side when it comes to naming our children, but I still love your suggestions!

Okay so recently I have been obsessed with the names Malakai and Eleanor as siblings. It's not too matchy-matchy but I feel like they go together because of the "l" sound. Plus, their nicknames would be Kai and Nora which I absolutely ADORE!

My boyfriend and I finally agreed in 4 names 2 boys and 2 girls for our babies after 15 years together and 10 trying to conceive... so now we talk about our future babies with names... and after we choose the names now is stress free whatever we have 2 boys or 2 girls or 1 and 1 we have names ready!
My heart stopped when he said yes about me saying Isaac! It's so funny seeing Henrik's reactions, my partner would be exactly the same hahaha

Your husband is so Swedish, when he sugested Clara with a K. In Denmark there is a joke that in Sweden all girls names end in an A, and all names if possible is spelled with a K of F. In Denmark, we often spell names with a C, CH, or PH instead of a K, and let them end in E. The same names, just changed a bit. Like Josefina/Josephine, Kristian/Christian ect.
Edwin - omg , nobody I know likes this name even my partner . it's my passed grandfathers middle name and such an old traditional name and has such beauty to it yet it is so underrated . This will be my boys name or second name xxx

My sister is called Amara meaning beautiful in Ancient Greek and immortal in Sanskrit. I really like it but we have had some weird pronunciations! It’s a bit of a controversial one
I love that name! I’ve always loved the sound but I didn’t know the meaning and now I love it even more!

My last name is Winslow! I love it for a first name, but obviously wouldn't work for any of my own children 😂. I'd like to throw in my son's name, Elias for an E name. We call him Eli for short. And my daughter is Catriona, which is rare in the states but more common in Europe, so I've heard. Love your videos! 😁❤️

How about Emilio or Emiliano instead of Emil? I think adding length makes it a nicer sounding name :)

ELISE or LYDIA for a girl and HUGO or OWEN for a boy!!! Elise is the beautiful French variation of Elizabeth that I think you’d love, and I loveee the D and a sounds in Lydia. Hugo matches henrik and Owen just sounds like something he would go for (I hope)!
Eleanore is another E name for a girl I think is cute. Same with Forrest to match your sons initials......... I posted this on your community tab after I saw you uploaded the video🙈 i would still love to know what he thinks of these names though!!

We always said 4, but found the 3 is enough. I’d name my 4th Florence. It’s my other favorite girls name. I’m sure we won’t get to use it.

I had to really warm up my boy to the topic!! We’ve been married over three years now and only in the last few months he’s gotten comfortable with the idea that thinking about names isn’t a direct prep to have a kid now 😆

I love basque names, basque it’s spoken in two provinces in Spain (North of Spain) I speak basque and the names I really like and find interesting are:
Endika- /en-dee-ka/(boy name) it’s the basque equivalent to Henry.
Erlantz- /er-lantz/ (boy name) it means something like radiance, splendor.
Aingeru- (boy name) it means Angel.
Maite- /my-te (the e pronounced like the e in chEck) (girl name) it means love
Haizea- /i-ze-a (the e pronounced like the e in chEck)/(girl name) it means wind.
Izaro- /e-zaro/(girl name) a small Island located on the Spanish coast.

I think Henrik is kinda similar to my fiancé with the names he likes though😅 I would also love more out there names but he's quite traditional.
Unfortunately0, we're German, and most names that might fly in Britain (like Lake or Hunter or Fox etc) wouldn't work as well...
We've decided to go with Fiona Mathilda for our 2nd due in october❤ our first is called Melinda Josephine.

Hi Chantelle, I wouldn't worry about the negative associations - I know a little Lola and it's just a beautiful sounding name. Charlie and Lola is a massively popular kids TV series and nobody worries about the associations xx

Oh SJ, I feel your pain, I really do. Your husband and my partner are like two peas in a pod. Most names I suggest to my partner, he just pulls a funny little face and says "I'm not a fan..." or he makes some sort of association, usually including a quote. (for example: when I suggested Phoebe, he quoted the TV show Friends, and when I suggested Delilah, he just asked "why? Why? Why?") These men are impossible! 😂

I was laughing when you were saying Henrik can associate a name with anything 🤣🤣 My boyfriend is the same. I love the name Oscar and he always thinks of Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street 🙄🙄 Of I love Alfie (which he likes too) but the other day he mentioned the middle name Moon which I was like “yes” and then he proceeded to tell me that a big character in a popular english soap is called Alfie Moon 🙈🙈🙈 Can’t win hahaha
I would LOVE if you could do a baby names list of name the have an L in them. I have two girls names that I am so in love with that have L's in the middle of the names and I would love to be able to find more but there doesn't seem to be an easy way to search for names with letters in then that doesn't just show the name starting with it.

I loved seeing his reactions. 😂 my husband is quitw the opposite and although he leans towards classic girl names he is a bit more adventurous when it comes to picking boy names. We have a Lapel and a Tranden and our most recent baby he named Seabird. He also is fond of the names Fogerty and Haggard for potential future boy names.

Would love input on middle names for our baby girl, due in November. We’re already settled on her first name being Seraphina. Meaning fiery one/fiery angel. Which do you prefer: Seraphina Juliet? Seraphina Belle? Seraphina Rose? Seraphina Emilia?
I think you should go with Belle or Rose. They’re all lovely choices but a long name like Seraphina paired with a one syllable middle name just sounds a bit better. It’s less overwhelming. I’d also avoid a middle name ending in ‘a’ for fear of it being too bouncy. I love Seraphina as a name! Congratulations!

A lot of the names you liked were my grand and great-grand parents’ names. Edwin (grandpa), Esther (great-grandma), Wilbur (close - great-grandfather was Wilburn). I used to know a very old lady Fern (but that one is totally due a revival!). Names DO do rotations and it looks like 1900-1930s names are back in fashion.
It surprised me when hubby said that Ezekiel was “way out there”. Maybe it’s because I was brought up around very religious people, but Ezekiel sounds SO common (and boring; no offense, Ezekiels). I can think of 4 or 5 I know of personally off the top of my head. It’s up there with Elijah, Noah and all of those other super common biblical names.
The convo in the 8 minute period makes me genuinely curious. We need a poll. Does having a very common name make you more likely to give your children uncommon/unique names, and vice versa, or the opposite. In my case, I kind of resent my parents for giving my sister and I such extremely common names, so I give my children very uncommon names (Shay - a boy, Rosie and Ily - pr. EYE-lee). Yet my sister, again, with a very common name, gave her son a very common name, as well. I’d be so curious to see statistics on this kind of thing and how others deal with this situation!

We have an otto and amelia and have always loved simon and soren but have a hard time with girl names that are good in german, swedish and english.
You should definitely have Echo for your 4th baby , which would of course be a girl to complete your set!

Yes he's naturally really playful with the kids and luckily he will always listen if I tell him something I'm going to do differently. He definitely takes my lead with it x

I so agree with your husband shouting the name! I used to love the name Willow and then I heard a mom screaming her daughter’s name at the zoo and her name was Willow and it just sounded so wrong.
