Before you can sell a ship that isn't rightfully yours, you must register it at a spacedock. Chat with the head technician - he's usually the fellow right near the landing pad at major settlements - and ask to see the ships on offer.
@CoachDodici when you commandeer a ship your previous ship goes to storage, and the commandeered ship will be your new Home ship, you can then go to a space port, click view and modify ships (ship builder) there you can switch between your ships and activate the ship you choose. As for the Commandeered ship(s) it will show as your ship but you will need to Buy Registration for it in order to Customise or sell. To register a ship you can do it in the same page as the ship builder.
if you want to destroy specific ship parts use your EM weapons... They are like a sniper rifle, and have low AOE so they dont damage the ship as much, also if you enjoy space battles both the UC and Freestar offer missions to destroy enemy ships. Also one important thing, when you press Space when in the ship, you switch to thrusters and can use WASD to very quickly change the direction you are looking at, so when you want to turn fast with your ship for example at enemies behind you just press Space and use WASD with your mouse and you will turn SUPER fast :3
Hi Pally. For fast travelling more immersively, I believe you can point your ship at quest markers and maybe planets in your system and fast travel from your pilot seat without having to go into a menu.

You don't have to talk to a tech to register a ship, it can be done in your ship menu wherever you are.
FYI if you commandeer a new ship your Other ship will be put in Storage and you will be able to Re-equip it at a star port,
Does this mean you can just pilot that commandeered ship to sell it? Do you just take your other ship out of storage then? Or fast travel to it?
