    The world of Pinch Collars.
Prong, pinch, correction ... Whatever you want to call them, they serve a purpose to dog trainers. And, while there is a stigma behind them being a "medieval" or "barbaric" device when used properly, they induce absolutely no harm on your dog. In fact, they are intended to reduce and prevent any harm from pulling and choking that occurs when using a standard leash and collar.
Whatever your opinion is on them, there are a handful of styles; each intended to help correct different behaviors.
We start with a traditional martingale style herm springer collar that is used for mild correction. This collar is a little more difficult to put on and take off but provides the most versatility. Next, we have a covert collar. This nifty collar hides the prongs under nylon and Velcro, allowing you to covertly work and train your dog, without making a statement. The convenience of the nylon and Velcro also provides you the ability to add ID panels and patches.
Then we have one of my favorites, the Neck Tech. This thing is beautiful. A pain to remove and apply, or even just to add or remove the prongs for sizing, it's honestly my favorite of them all. The super-low profile and the correction is on point and perfect for fieldwork. It comes in both a quick-release (w/ D-ring) or in the martingale style.
Last but not least is our Ray Allen Pinch Collar. Made with a 1" quick-release metal buckle for easy application and use. The martingale style with D-ring makes this prong collar the most user-friendly option for all levels of training.

Awesome collar, saved my relationship with my boy here! I was one of those anti-prong collar crazies until my Rottweiler caught me off guard and pulled me head first 'super man style' into the ground while chasing a run-away ball at the park (he was on a flat collar). It caused me a severe concussion with nausea and vomiting for several days. It also cost me 7 days off work and a trip to the ER. Anyone who is against these collars has no idea of the power, strength and drive of a true working dog. Thank-you Ray Allen for being the best dog supply company out there!

Prong collars are a great tool but I have seen them come apart. I always use a back up collar, simple nylon slip collar is my go to. Dominant dog collars are so pricey for just backing up a prong. Carbiners on the flat collar are clumsey and get in the way at times. Would love it if Ray Allen could make some some simple affordable flat nylon slip collars!

    Good morning!
I’ve been using an HS 2.25mm Stainless Steel martingale prong collar for about 3yrs now with my 30lbs Staffordshire Bull Terrier and it works very very well.
For performance and aesthetics, I’d like transition him wear an HS Neck Tech Sport (non-martingale) in Black Matte.
    1. Is there a noticeable difference in correction performance between a standard HS martingale prong collar vs. an HS Neck Tech Sport (non-martingale)?
    2. I currently back-up my standard HS prong collar with a flat collar. Does the HS Neck Tech Sport require a backup collar?
    3. If so, I am interested in backing up the Neck Tech Sport collar with the Neck Tech Fun collar in the same finish, is this advisable or is a dominant dog collar more appropriate?
    Cheers!

I just bought the Allen prong color on Amazon and It’s a bit confusing besides putting it on my shepherd I don’t see the extension to pull whenever I want to address correction towards my dog. It just has the two rings. Can you help me out with a description on how to use it

Hey there, I'm a big time prong collar fan but am looking for something to help to save my dogs fur. I have a Chow Chow and her collar fits nicely but man do the links and chain shred her fur, she has a short gap halfway around her head from the rubbing. Any idea if the Neck tech collar helps with that?

The neck tech prongs are much smaller, so they would have less contact through the thick fur than a classic pinch. It could work better for the fur, but may not be as effective.

02:06 - where is weblink (Amazon or other) for this vinyl cover style. The thing is - I found several on Amazon that look exactly like this, but in the reviews, people state that it's Not a true "equal pressure Pinch collar" - it's just a stagnant prong collar that jams up into the throat.
I want/need the equal pinch pressure ( I believe that's what is called the Martingale style, if that's correct) Yet has the vinyl cover.
Please post 1 or more web links to quality collars like I described.
SIDE NOTE: I have been using the stainless steel martingale style for years, but I get mad-crazed comments from people, so I'm looking for a replacement - because I don't know if anyone sells vinyl covers that will fit the one I have.
GREATLY appreciate your time and effort

Sadly I might actually need one with a cover. I went into a high Karen density area and one freaked out on me. Never happens when the dog is with my husband. Only when I'm the one with the dog and by myself. Probably cause I'm a short asian female and seem like an easy target. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ah yes, I hate going to high density Karen habitats while pit training a dog, sometimes it can’t be avoided, but just remember, there’s still good people pit there who will compliment you, ignore the haters, and embrace the good people, I once had someone tell me “is that a tiny prong on your toy poodle?? How cute!!” And I was expecting her to say something bad but turns out she complimented me! 😂❤️

Thank you for the video. I am wondering if you have video about neck tech prong collar how to fit in on the dog neck. I’ve seen so many videos about the basic prong collar fitting and where to sit on the dog neck. The reason to my question is.. in the country where I live in prong collar is illegal. Only use for military and such and I have German Shepherd who’s pulling on her leash and non of the trainers successfully trained me and her to walk on leash until I came across with one of trainer who’s army veteran and one of trainer who’s legally allowed to use prong collar. I couldn’t even buy it in the country. He introduced me to it while I used to against it. Now I can walk my dog with no problem. She listens and I am in control but I still want to see video the correct sitting on dog neck as I found mine sitting a bit loose around the neck instead of snug behind the ear like so many video said. As I mentioned earlier I can’t buy the prong collar here and the trainer only had the neck tech version in his shop. Please could you make a video about the neck tech prong collar and how to well fitted behind the ears, etc. Thank you.

We can see about making a video in the future. The Neck-Tech should fit the same as the traditional prong and the links can be removed with pliers to get the right fit!

@@RayAllenK9 Thank you for replying. I found the neck tech is more to dog with short hair compare to the long hair or is it the same as my GSD working line short hair will get the message right away if I put it on compare to my WSS with the long hair. It does look and feel a bit loose and I can’t adjust it snugs behind the ears. It is more like a bit down around the neck and if I remove the ring one more it just too small. Is there any way or anything that can help to adjust it to snug behind the ears?
