Thank you my friend. I pray that this video helps many many dogs and their owners. Can be an excellent tool in the right hands and with the right heart! Peace & Love
Wonderful! We went to a behaviorist trainer who did not explain all of this so have been using the collar wrong! No wonder it's not working! THANK YOU!
This video is so informative! Our puppy went to a 2 week puppy boot camp where they used the same principles regarding positive reinforcement and the use of the prong collar. The trainer spent 2.5 hours with us after the two weeks discussing the training etc. She was great and our puppy did learn a lot. However, his explanation of the prong collar from fit to use was far more informative. The way he talks to the dogs and seems to really care about the proper use of the collar makes me want to use him specifically for a trainer!
You have a very informative video here. I learned so much about my Sprenger collar from you. We are just starting to acclimate to the collar with our trainer and you’ve taught me so much about everything I need to know. Thank you, thank you! Keep making videos!! This has been an excellent training tool for us.
My 2.25 kept turning instead out and you taught me its because its too big. Ive taken a couple of link out and positioned it higher on the neck. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Thank you for explaining the proper use. One tip to improve your videos is if you are using your phone for recording, turn it horizontally to improve video quality
Thank you! I bought the collar but it came with no directions! But that’s ok b/c otherwise I wouldn’t have discovered you. My 55 lb lab is walking now! 🙌
I put a prong collar on my 4 month old puppy. He likes to lunge at everything even passing cars. It took one correction and now he’s less reactive. He’s a Labradoodle. He would still air sniff passerbyers but as long as he doesn’t engage, no correction is needed. I allow him to make his own decisions when other dogs or people or kids are walking by. If he start making his way or bark, he’s getting a correction. If he stays with me, he gets a treat and praise. We actually started walking as soon as we got the prong collar. I allowed him to touch the collar and reward. Then I fitted it and reward. Gently show him how to turn off pressure. I felt he was doing great so we went on our first walk with the prong that same day. And it was his 3rd time ever going in a walk.
18:11 approximately you should see this demonstrated. Tight enough not to slide down immediately. If the side loops touch the dead ring or O ring in the middle, it’s too loose. If you cannot lift the swivel ring to form a triangle or struggle getting it on after some practice, it’s too tight.
I have a boxador (lab x boxer) he weighs 70 pounds and his neck size is about 19 inches could be a little more or a little less and idk which to get the 2.25mm or 3.0mm
I bought the 2.25 herm sprenger quick release….. but I never did get the chain portion of it with the D swivel ring and I really do want to get that part. Is there any way to purchase that separately from my collar
Recommend doing these videos in a quiet place so the audio doesn't have constant barking in the background. I can't watch the video with my dog because he's so distracted by the barking he thinks is happening in real life.
Came across this video researching prong collars and its by far the most purposeful one I've found. Appriciate the free game

Are you insane or just a sadist?
Wear only while training, not all the time per most pinch collar trainers.
