Heavy duty! I like the stainless lily pipes but the price point if beyond what I'd like for a 10 gallon.
You can always just order the Lily pipe set! Though I don’t know the price on accessories.
Just got the pura 50 for a 5 gallon. I think it might be a little small for it despite their claim but for a shrimp tank the flow should be just right. Also have the UNS version of the 100 on the way. I need a new hobby, but I love trying out new gadgets.........

It looks like a nice looking filter but maybe the price of silence is a bit too high.
It seems some people have issue with it on amazon.
It is definitely a pricy piece of hardware. But, so is ADA stuff and there is a strong market for their stuff. I can’t justify ADA pricing, but this Landen filter seems like it might satisfy both the high end consumer and the cost savy aquarist. 🤷🏼♂️

Yo those clamps for the filter are normal plumbing collars. You can cut them off and get new ones but you would have to have a crimper to.
I found the pump housing comes apart rather easily and I have serviced the pump this way. My mistake complaining about the lack of serviceability. No need to remove those perma-clamps

Haven’t tried them. Maybe later on this year I’ll try one to review.

No issues at all. Running well. Haven’t even cleaned it since the video.

How would you compare this to the tru nano filter?
I have 3 tru nano filters and like the Landen one better. It is metal and silent when operating. The tru nano pumps have a noticeable hum at any speed. I hate noise from my aquariums so I prefer the Landen even at a higher price point.
What tanks are those? I love the curves!
The 10 gal. tanks with the curved front edges are Mr. Aqua brand. I can’t seem to find that brand anymore online but here is a link to another brand with the same style and size. These companies change names a lot it seems, and as far as nano aquariums are concerned, low iron glass is mostly the same. Give this brand a try maybe, I love the seamless curved edge a lot. Really nice for display Aquascapes. 🤘

What do you feed your Ramshorn Snails 7:00?
In that clip they are gathered on the remains of a stick-on-the-glass food tablet. But, most of the time they eat the shrimp food. I don’t target feed the snails. They aggressively find any fish food, etc left behind.
How would you compare this to the uns blitz 32?
I have not had any experience with the UNS system. But I’ve had no issues with my LANDEN. Feature wise they seem similar. I’d say go with the one you like the color of.
I have this filter and am working on the set up for situating it in relation to my stand/a shelf potentially housing the filter . I have a few options but, as you said, I wish the connectors were smaller. You mention having possibly using only 1 connector instead of two and I have seen them sold as a single. Could you explain how that would work?
I have since reconfigured my PURA 100 to have these valves inline on the hoses. Single on/off and no need to clamp them so easy to pop them off and maintain.

Yup, one valve per hose. It is a simple shutoff valve with hose barbs on both side. Don’t use a clamp on the end closest the filter. Just pop that hose off for maintenance after closing the valve.
@@ssaquascapes when I pop off that hose, will there be water in that section attached to filter spilling out? Just trying to get a scope of the whole layout and maintenance.
@@rolandominueza2771 keep the hose from valves to filter short = less water. And disconnect from the valve not the filter = less spill.
But will it blend?
I don’t think it makes a very good smoothie, but you could try! 🤷🏼♂️🤣
ZooMed Nano 10 is plastic, but does a great job for a small fraction of the price. Also silent.

@drewbert83 I’m non-biased as possible. If the filter works well, I state such. If you’re bored I have some early videos on my channel of the FreeSea filters from Amazon. Have three of them running still to this day. Love these filters but seems they are now unavailable. 😞

They almost cost as much as ADA es-150. Well, there's still a 100 pound difference, but when you're planning to spend this much, you might as well just go for the real deal. I know Landen is more or less a reputable brand, but this filter was a place to compete with the like of es-150. Which I think it's unfair. It should've place to compete with F-Zone Astra stream mini filter or maybe UNS newest Blitz mini filter, then this will be much more valuable.
While I respect ADA, I’ll never pay the markup. But if you got that kinda bank, consider becoming a channel member. 🤣🤣

Wouldn’t be too hard to fab a ring to attach. I did that on the plastic Tru nano filter. Would be the same concept. 😁

@tedblack2163 , nah just source some SS pipe from the hardware store (plumbing dept) and drill a hole like that other vid. To secure you could use superglue with baking soda or a reef epoxy.
Theoretically, I’d probably tack weld it. But you’d have to be experienced in SS welding as it is a little harder I hear (never welded SS).

For a display tank I think it has its place if someone wants to show off their system. For a budget build, correct, not for budget setups.
The price is unreasonable just for a canister. Even the shape is very small.
These small SS nano canisters are the current popular thing to have for your nano tank. Popularity drives the price most of the time. But manufacturing costs are higher for SS over plastic I am sure. End of the day, it’s like buying a Rolex or a digital Casio; both tell time, but which one do you want to show your friends? 🤣
@ssaquascapes I prefer DIY. Besides being cheaper, its usefulness is also the same, even better because of the larger space for benefical bacteria.
