Thank you, I'm a new O/O and the shifter was stilling a little low for a tall guy like me, got a six inch and looked up how to install it and saw your video. Really easy to do with someone like you showing how it's done. Thank you much sir. I'll be looking at more of your videos for more useful information.
Bastian Taylor thanks and glad you enjoyed. ua-cam.com/video/AVu4q-anxrI/v-deo.html here is the link to the shifting video I made after the extension install.
Awesome video man very helpful gonna be installing shifter extender, where did you find those quick connects I can’t find them anywhere around me and having trouble finding them online
I just did mine today, I made sure I connected them in the correct spot, I started my truck and there was a leak from 1 or 2 of them and I made sure I installed them all the way in I’m confused what do you think is wrong it’s leaking from the top connecter on the gearshift head
What if i have the D Shaped Knob bro? And my fittings stay in the air lines when I disconnect them? Should i just cut the air lines and install 2 quick connects per air line? Do you think that’ll work??
C & E Morales Trucking thanks man, and i bought mine at express truck parts and chrome, 7528 Alderson St Houston, TX 77020 United States, but you can find them at any chrome shop.
Brah I can’t believe you but thread locker in there. Even if the blue stuff. You are never getting that off there if you don’t like it. All you have to do is vice gribs toward the top where the shifter skirt hides imperfections and tighten it down there. And then use the air line couplers beneath the shifter boot so they are out of sight

I liked the 3/4 wrench to remove jam nut. Then the vise grips to replace it.
3/4 wrenches only have the ability to loosen not tighten.
I dont drive a truck but I'm watching anyways lol
This is just pretty
Great vid bro!!!
Great video man real helpful

Where did you get your airlines and quick connections?
Any truck parts shop
Nice video. Where did you buy the extension?
C & E Morales Trucking thanks man, and i bought mine at express truck parts and chrome, 7528 Alderson St
Houston, TX 77020
United States, but you can find them at any chrome shop.
Does it make the truck go faster?
No? Its so you dont have to reach so far down to shift gears while driving. This is more convenient
@@krol9181 I was being sarcastic. 😂
What are those couplers call. I can’t find it any where
The quickconnects you mean ?
Grtruckingdemolition yes the quickconnects I can’t find them here in Canada I was at Canadian tire I couldn’t find those one.
What’s the size of the quick connects and air line?
My gear head is jammed on there won't come loose at all smh mean shifter
Does a taller shifter put to much strain on transmission, boss telling me to take mine out, hauler back
Na, people say that but I have always ran them like that no problems
🤨 what was wrong with the first 3 black ones you took off the hook...?
Is this possible on any truck?
Yes it’s universal
Is doing a 6” the same as a 12”
Yes
If you don’t mind can you write all the parts needed and where I can find them
What size was the quick connects ?
What size air lines ?

🤣 i have taken it off twice already that thread lock don’t do shit
I tried but when i tryoed putting the shifter on reverse it hit the steering wheel so i had to removed it 😭
Your going to need to buy a smaller steering wheel a 16in
I can’t drive like that I’m stuck across the country in a new Pete the dam shifter is eye level fml
Why ? Is this the truck driver equivalent of ricer spoilers and dumb exhaust tips on Honda civics ?
Yes.
been driving for many years cant figure out the point of having shifter really high up i think it would hurt your shoulder if anything annoying no
Why?
