It happened in the American Gladiators version once. Not only did they compete in the same preliminary heat, but they won, and they competed in the same quarterfinals as well (unfortunately, they both lost).
In the second season revival of American Gladiators there was one episode where there two newlywed couples and one couple successfully made the next round although the wife became the woman’s champion of the season.
41:35 Interesting that in the 2008 Revival they decided If The Challenger Hits The Floor Prior To The Gladiator Coming Out Of The Circle, The Challenger Is DISQUALIFIED
Interesting that in The Australian Version of WHIPLASH if You Touch The Floor As The Gladiator, YOU LOSE Maybe that's because The Circumference of The Circle is a lot larger than the UK Version
@@davidfearis7335 Sandra was lovely but extremely lucky. The Fury slip in Whiplash, 5 points on Joust (who didn't) Delta got stuck in Hang Tough - and Siobhan messing up on the Eliminator and Nikki with the ankle injury. Still! Gotta be in it to win it.
Vulcan doing whiplash left handed he normally played right handed this due injury or was he being cocky 🤔 tower Is to but he appears to be a natural left hander
I thought it was extremely unfair that red wife got to be on the eliminator course while her husband competed. Even though he ultimately lost, nobody else gets to have their spouse there. I get that she was also a contender, but that should not matter
Love storms commentary always a crack up
"I've heard Tower wears a skirt" bet that was about Tower playing Rocky in the Rocky Horror Show!
That was an unjustified win on the women's but great kits!
Sandra looks so gutted that Hubby didn't get through at the end
Was Delta carrying an injury as she appears to have a back brace on.
Wouldn't be surprised they are offen are seen with strapping on probably injuries easily happen
Husband and Wife contestants I do not recall that happening in the UK version. Interestingly it is the wife tat ends up with bragging rights.

The Husband & Wife thing happen in the 2009 Revival of the UK Gladiators Episode 2, both of them were ELIMINATED on that same episode

Not the same but there was a boyfriend/girlfriend couple in the aus revival one the boyfriend went in to win the girlfriend made the quater final
In The Women's ATLASPHERE The Challengers Had Neither The Speed Of Strength To Roll Over The Pods!
NO SMOKE NO CIGAR
That was one of the worst Atlaspheres I have ever seen
39:55 Who Needs Strength When You've Got Comedy On Your Side
Omg can't believe it worked
@@someguy7775 I can’t, either, but I think it was the only thing he had going up against Tower-brilliant!
20:20 So In The Men's ATLASPHERE, CONDOR Is The White Knight & TOWER Is The Black Knight

46:13 Having to pick the wedgies doesn't help the cause!
52:22 Why are the male contenders’ outfits different?
Not really sure, maybe they have a choice of outfits and they obviously chose different ones
The female ones are lush!
Looking at this again Sandra was lucky. First with Fury slipping in Whiplash and then with Siobhan messing up the travelator.
Sandra was also in the Army vs Navy battle & she FAILED MISERABLY there too

Plenty of luck, but she ran a more than acceptable Eliminator time in her own right.

Slowest. Eliminators. Ever.

they competed Separately it was fair.
@@darthilli On what planet? No one else got to have their spouse cheering them on from that close.
@@drewconway7135who cares! He lost! 🤷🏼♀️
